I love the food here. Service is good too. It’s pretty crowded most of the time but the wait isn’t that bad. If you have to wait, go to the bar in the back and have a Chelada!

Great place, never fails! Very consistent food and drinks. The staff is great. Our favorite waitress is Martha. She wasn’t serving us today but took some time to stop by and say hi.

my husband and I have been coming here since the week they opened and have been consistent customers since. I highly recommend the Camarones Costa Azul. They are bacon and cheese wrapped jumbo shrimps! And their camarones diablo and culichis. Amazing and birdsong with flavor! I adore their complementary chips and salsa. Fresh, warm and crispy, never stale and their salsa is amazing! Cool, refreshing and never too spicy Always packed during weekends, expect a long weight. The bar isn’t stingy with the alcohol

I come here quite often since its a really good Mexican restaurant. If you want to go to a nice Mexican sit down restaurant this is the one! The inside is nice and the food is service is always decent! They start you off with chips and salsa which is really good. My go to order is always the enchilada suiza. So so so good and filling. This restaurant is definitely a must try.

Finally had a chance to give this place a shot. My first attempt did not go well but that’s spilled milk and you know… Came here for lunch today — this place is popular. Fortunately, I was able to get a table without waiting. I was promptly greeted by several staff members, which was very nice. Within seconds I had yummy chips & salsa in front of me and the host taking my order. NICE. My dish of choice when trying a new Mexican spot is usually a shredded beef taco and shredded beef enchilada — which is what I ordered here. The meal was very tasty. The rice & taco were the highlights of the plate. Both so flavorful! The beans and the enchilada left something to be desired. The enchilada was dry — definitely needed more sauce and cheese on top. The price point is reasonable given the portion size — I can see myself returning at some point.

Went for the first time on Saturday, was pretty busy but wait was rather short. the waitress was great she helped a lot on deciding what to pick from there menu. I ordered ceviche de camaron it was good the green chili they gave with it was very tasty only con was that it was not as cool as I wanted it to be, but that might just be a prefrences thing. I HIGHLYRECCOMMEND«LARUBIA» I will go back and I do recommend this place

Came in here after shopping with a friend in LA(her recommendation) Omg ! Their miches were amazing !!! I can’t even describe my love for them, they were very lemony and that’s my favorite We went to the bar which was super crowded but we were lucky enough to find seats, ever bar tender we encountered was super friendly and playful and professional My friend ordered the garlic shrimp and I ordered a shrimp enchilada which was a little too spicy for my white ass haha but still delicious none the less, her garlic shrimp was amazing and I can’t wait to go back for drinks and to eat more shrimp ! We even met a local couple who said they have been coming for years and loved this place, the vibe was just super chill and friendly in the bar and that’s the only area we ate in but man I crave my michelada !

Classic margarita on the rocks for happy hour and a $ 6 taco plate … And boom just like that I am a happy girl! Oh, can’t forget the delicious complimentary chips and salsa. The carne asada is cooked to perfection! I loved those tacos. The chicken tacos were also very good, meat is flavorful and juicy. Did I mention they give you a fat scoop of guacamole with your happy hour tacos?! I don’t know any other place that does that. The only thing missing on my tacos was cheese, and if you know me I LOVECHEESE, but guess what, the tacos were STILL amazing! Service is not bad, depends on your server I guess, some more pleasant than others. Yes, it’s true what they say, even their happy hour drinks are strong! :)

I was in town visiting with an old friend from college and had an opportunity to eat here at Los Compadres. When we arrived at around 5:30, the whole parking lot was jam packed. Really speaks to how loyal the customers are here! Most people you can hear have been here many times and it’s their comfort food place. I was excited to try it out despite having just eaten probably a few hours ago. After braving the LA traffic and finding a parking space, we quickly went inside and grabbed our table. They have quite an extensive menu of Mexican food choices from all your favorites like tacos, burritos and fajitas to more authentic things that some may not have heard of. I opted to go for the Ribeye fajitas which were good but expensive. I have to say the tortillas are the best and supposedly are made in house. While I did enjoy my time here, I’m not sure if this was THAT much better than any other place that I have been. I understand loyalty and that is what drives this place. They were on the more expensive side despite most of there dishes being cheaper elsewhere. I don’t think you’d be disappointed here but it just didn’t wow me as I had expected. There is parking in the lot but it looks like many people had to park along the street. Eating early or very late here is probably ideal to beat the rush otherwise you’ll be standing in a very long line for a very long time.

I am definitely a Los Compadres Fan! I have been a frequent customer at the other two locations in Long Beach, I will still say the one on Pine is always my favorite. This location is much bigger that the one on Anaheim, and Pine. The layout is much more open, and not all crammed with tables and chairs like the Anaheim location. I had the Chili Relleno plate, and it was delicious. Of course I had to get some of those hand made corn tortillas, it is a must every time. The only thing I wish they had were whole beans & black beans, I am not a fan of their re-fried beans which always seem salty. Overall great service as to be expected, great food, and a great new location. Congrats on extending your chain Los Compadres!

Great, lively place for Mexican food! I watched Star Wars at AMC Norwalk nearby and decided to stop by here after around 2:30pm on a Sunday. I thought since it was in between meals, we would be seated right away, but the hostess reported a 30 minute wait! There is a bar area in the back that is first come, first serve, but we decided we would wait for a table. Luckily, our name was called 15 minutes later with a offer of a table in the back bar area. In retrospect, I would’ve waited for a table up front instead. The back area is super dark and I could barely read my menu. The lighting is much better in the front of the restaurant and there is more space out there. We looked over the menu and I ordered the taco and enchilada plate and my bf got the chilaquiles with carne asada. I got a Michelada(my first one!) and he opted for their horchata, which is made a little differently than others, with a more cinnamon taste. They have a full drink menu with various flavors of margaritas and other mixed drinks. They brought out chips and salsa and boy, did that taste good! We finished the salsa and they had to bring us another one before our food arrived :) The food came with a side of beans and rice and I opted for the green sauce and he opted for the red sauce. Both were tasty! The red is a bit hotter. The food itself was great too! We could barely finish our dishes, we probably had too much chips and salsa :) Our waitress was very attentive and checked on us often. Even when we left around 3:30pm, there were still people waiting for tables! What a popping place!

My new favorite place! Our hostess Claudia was wonderful, attentive, and incredibly sweet. I think what blew me away the most was that waitors and waitresses from other areas came and refilled our drinks or asked if we needed anything. It was incredible to see the hostesses take attention to all guest rather than just their tables. The customer service here is just unmatched anywhere! I ordered three carnitas tacos. The meat was beautifully seasoned and tender. The rice was also seasoned very well and was neither dry nor chewy. The beans were flavorful and had the right amount of cheese. I also high recommend trying their guacamole. Although I am not particularly a fan of cilantro, it had the perfect amount without overpowering the taste of the avacado. This place is just fantastic and I’ve been recommending it to everyone I know! Thank you for such an amazing experience!

FOOD/DRINKS: 4.5÷5 Delicious! Although the prices can be a little bit on the pricier side. The tacos are so good! I preferred the carne asada over the al pastor(although my friend thought the opposite and thought the carne asada was too salty). The Ceviche Especial was delicious! A lot of lime, and a lot of spice!!! Now for the drinks, the Michelada was pretty good but it didn’t blow me out of the water. But the mango margarita sure did! I would definitely recommend the margaritas! SERVICE: 3.5÷5 I was told the wait would be 20min, but I waited for about 45min. It was during the holidays and I understand it can be hard to estimate times. When we were seated at the table our chips and salsa were ready and waiting for us, which was nice. Throughout the night when I asked for a glass of water, or more salsa, it took about 2 reminders until we received those on our table — but everyone was really nice though. Overall, I recommend!(And I am definitely coming back for happy hour and brunch!)

There is a reason why I don’t really eat at these chain-type Mexican restaurants. They are expensive and the quality of the food isn’t good and the service is almost non existent. I gave Los compadres a chance and they proved me right. The food was mediocre. The chips and salsa were stale, the carne asada from the super burrito was salty, and the shrimp cocktail had about 7 shrimp in it(mostly tomato juice). The only thing I did like was the amount of tequila on the shelf, even then their house margaritas are made with… Wait for it… Jose Cuervo. What self respecting Mexican restaurant serves Jose? There are so many options for cheap tequila but Jose Cuervo should be a last resort. It’s safe to say that I will not be returning here and would not recommend eating here either.

Always outstanding customer service! 1– They seated me in a booth, despite being a party of one. Thankfully they weren’t crowded, go me! 2 — Various other servers came by checking in on me. Asking if I wanted more salsa, etc. 3 — My server magically brought a fresh glass of iced tea right when I finished the first one! 4 — Table is cleared right away! This location is less crowded than the 2 in Long Beach– yay! Now onto the food. This is my FAVORITE Mexican restaurant in the LA area! The food is consistently savory, juicy, tasty, … you get the picture :-) Viva Los Compadres!

Hands down my favorite Mexican food restaurant. I come here every few months with my boyfriend because we both love it so much. The food is consistently delicious. The service is always very efficient and good, whether you sit at the bar or at a table. I will always come back to Los Compadres. I have also been to the Downtown Long Beach location once, and had an equally positive experience, but I’m in the Norwalk area all the time, so that is why we go to this location. I always get the chicken enchiladas. They are just so good! The serving sizes here are huge. I can never finish my whole meal, which is fine by me because it tastes just as good the next day! And don’t even get me started on the margaritas; they are a MUST if you come here. This place has an awesome selection for margaritas. I am such a sucker for their strawberry blended margarita; just thinking about it makes me want one! Another great dish to try is the shrimp ceviche. It is super flavorful and absolutely delicious. There is a reason this place is so busy no matter what time of day you come and that is because it is one of the best Mexican food places around.
