El Pollo Loco

Be careful if your not Mexican they look at you funny. Like what are you doing In a all Mexican neighborhood. Customers are just as bad. Hispanic female customer greeted in English. No response. In fact she was quite angry she was not greeted in Spanish. After her royalty was greeted in Spanish her and the counter lady were talking in Spanish like best friends. Very rude when we’re in America. Speak English. This is unacceptable

I love El Pollo Loco but this one by far is the worse. Their prices are much higher than others I’ve gone to. They don’t provide bigger cups for salsa especially when you are ordering family size meals, so you’re standing at the salsa bar for a while filling up several mini cups. And the chicken is over cooked and dry.

Ive been to a few pollo locos around always got excellent service but today was different. Got here at 9:59 waited outside for 6 minutes to open the place. I only have 45 minutes to get back to work and when i have to deal with this lack of excellence its annoying. Hope this place can turn it around ive lost all hope for it

ive been in managment for 5 years! this has to be by far the worst el pollo loco ever. honestly is doesnt deserve a star and the reason why im writing this is because i care about good business but the employee’s are horrible except the cashier, shes gave the most kindful customer service ive seen in years.
red flags!
1. the containers are no where to be found
2. a customer doesnt have to wait for a container if theirs 2 people there
3. the chicken was so dry
4.not getting the orders right when i ask for extra chicken
5.manager so dis respectful mummbling in spanish profanity, be professional !
6.stay on point and acknowledge the customers wants and needs
7. talking to much
8. tables are filthy
9.restroom horrible
10. didnt say bye after we left
everyone needs to be fired, bad for business expect the cashier atleast give her manager postion, i know for a fact shell do just great for the job. makes no sense for a good company like this should suffer.

Closest El Pollo to us and this place is just one disappointment after another. They just can’t get an order right. When you pay extra for a shrimp burrito and get a chicken burrito wtf? So I’m supposed to go home take a bite of my burrito see its not right get back in the car take my burrito back and complain? Are you kidding me. It’s like a scam There’s no way to check a to go order burrito. It doesn’t stop there. The staff isn’t on point and barely coherent. The restaurant is dirty and not kept well along with the restrooms. Avoid this place at all cost they suck and are the worst excuse for an «El Pollo Loco» on the planet! And how the hell is your chicken so dry we almost choke to death on it…

I’ve been going to lunch at this el pollo loco for years. Great customer service, quick service, they now know my name because I come here so much. The place is clean and my order is alway correct. Not many healthy places to eat around Norwalk but you can eat healthy here so I’m always frequenting.

From 1993 – 2006 i lived in Norwalk and this was our fav El Pollo Loco, they were the only spot where the avocado sauce was watery. Since we’ve moved back to the area they have gone waaaaaay down. The customer service is a joke, i think because its a bunch of young ppl now and the food is hit and miss. I go in every now and then when i go to Ralphs but they have closed so no need to waste my money at this location again

Not all El Pollo Loco are the same. the chicken is excellent. great customer service. very nice staff including the manager.. Went up to every customer to ask how the food was. I tried other El Pollo Loco’s, the chicken there always taste great.

This is a great restaurant, great food, great service, always clean. Prices have gone up a little ex. BRC burrito was $ 1 now $ 1.79

I just got some good service also a good tip try there rice and beans there so good there chicken is well done there service is super there really fast here went on lunch time it was packed but got my food pretty fast

I MUST ACKNOWLEDGE, ABOVE ALL ELSE, THE WONDERFUL ASSISTANT MANAGER. He is always sweet, shows excellent customer service, and wiped down our table as well as did other duties that most managers do not do. Come here for your standard El Pollo Loco food with excellent service.

Dirty… tables. I had to clean my own table ask for napkins and I only got 4. I had to get up to ask for lids, salt and a plate. and more napkins. Worse EPL I have been to. Cashier was nice but The staff was not friendly at all it was like I bothered them to ask for extra stuff.

Customer service is great… The manger there always ensures my order is correct and my chicken is very well done like I like it. He keeps the place nice and clean. Wish they had a drive thru

Another inconsistent EPL. Have had some good food from here. Last time, the chicken was dried out. Sigh.

I love El Pollo Loco but this one needs a major overhaul. The Salsa Bar was so messy and one of the salsa spoons fell into the salsa and a customer took it out with his hands! There was also a to-​go salsa container inside the salsa! Then one of the employees was EATING behind the counter while prepping food! How this place has an A rating, god only knows.

This place is wonderful. I’m a picky customer and they always give me excellent customer service. Plus, I feel that they prepare my food with care. They always say hello and goodbye and make people feel welcomed. Plus the food is full of fantastic flavors! They definitely serve perfect pollo passionately! I taste the fire!

I’m only reviewing this place because they need to change the «Hours of Operation»!!! It says they are open until 11pm but I showed up at 10:30pm and they had been closed for 30 minutes! Please make it right and change your Hours of op! Ended up at Taco Bell instead! BOO!!! Wanted healthier dinner!

How can u run out of avocados when everything on your menu has it as an ingredient? Probably should mention that before I ordered!

I was going to take a star off because this location doesn’t have a drive-​thru, but it was their warm customer service that made me add a star back.
The main menu is above the cashiers, and the sides are listed with pictures on the counter. Smart, so my eyes aren’t all over the place. Decent prices, good food. Help yourself to the salsa bar and fountain drinks — even Horchata fountain and two regular iced teas.
When my name was called, the man working greeted me, opened my to-​go box to ensure my order was correct, and mentioned that he had not seen me before. He was right, it was my first time. He was saying to the other regular customers, «good to see you, welcome back, how’s everything?» Something you normally don’t hear at fast food places.
Plenty of parking, seating areas, quick service, and clean.

:wondering why I haven’t reviewed this place yet…:
Great neighborhood El Pollo Loco… They check your ID when you pay with plastic, they call your order by your first name, they haven’t messed up an order yet, they’re pretty fast with getting your order out, they’re good at refilling the salsa bar in a timely manner, if the horchata machine is spitting out watered down tasting horchata they’ll believe you and check it out right away, restaurant is kept pretty clean, the employees seem to work well with each other…
Food is great here. We usually order the the original pollo bowl, loco side salad, mixed 8 piece with rice and Mac and cheese (for the kiddos, but I don’t really like their mac n cheese…), and we usually get the avocado salsa… Lots of it!!! The premium sides that they offer… The fire roasted corn had a little kick to it, the sweet corn cake was really yum (probably my favorite of the premium sides), and the sweet potato fries… I’m not a fan of them from anywhere, so I guess they’re okay if you dig sweet potato fries… Desserts are okay… I’ll order the churro deals they have sometimes and their chocolate nachos were actually okay.
On occasion we’ll order from the Foster’s Freeze menu… I think we got an ice cream cone or a milkshake the last time… You can’t go wrong with ice cream, yah???
I couldn’t tell you about dining in experience, as we’ve never dined in here. I’m sure there’s a restroom somewhere, but I wouldn’t know if it’s to the left or to the right of the salsa bar… We always order to-​go… Stand in line for a lil’ bit till they take my order, then it’s straight to the salsa bar, then walk over to the right of the horchata machine to await my order…
No parking issues… If anything… Try to come in with a coupon of some sort, because sometimes (most times) it seems pretty pricey for chicken here…
