So I walk in and give them a couple pens from my yoga studio, order an expresso after a long NYC trip… and the nice lady says«that’s OK» when I try to give her my credit card. Made my day! Jesus Last Supper image hangs on the wall.

They have really good affordable food! Breakfast or lunch you ask and they deliver! The pancakes are large and so delicious and if you want a gyro this is definitely a great place to have one. Best part of it is that it’s clean and has a great wait staff!

Seems nice enough initially. But my second time in I detected an unpleasant distinctive smell: mold & sewage. It’s adjacent to an inlet on the Sound. Not a scent you want hovering in the air while you eat. However, their Greek salad w chicken was excellent. Broad menu & fresh desserts. Breakfast hours are super crowded. The cappuccino was average. And the Italian combo grinder was full & fresh. The interior w it’s exposed brick & repurposed design style is cool. The service is impersonal. Our waitress couldn’t stop herslef from adjusting her hair & makeup in the mirror while«attending» to our table & chewing her gum like it washer last piece forever was really unplesant.

This is a great little café and deli on the water. There can be a wait, but the food is worth it. Best for Breakfast

I have been there times with my fiancé. The food is very good flavorful and nice size portions. The prices are reasonable for«SONO». The love the Lily coffee. It is $ 2.50 a cup when you din in. All three times I have never received a refill of coffee. even though I have seen the server was walking around with a pot of coffee in her hand refilling other peoples cups. This Sunday I even asked the server for a refill towards the end of my meal and did not receive one. This sadly has caused us to decide not to return. If we do decide to return I promise I will NEVER order a cup of coffee with my meal.

I have eaten here several times over the last few weeks since I’ve discovered them. All I can say is I wish I had known about them earlier! The food is delicious, always fresh and hot and the people are very friendly and personable! If you’re picking food up, call ahead because they do get very busy and you will wait 15+ minutes. My new favorite place for sure!

At last an well priced nice looking café with great perfectly prepared food! The turkey triple decker on whole grain is excellent. Real turkey and not crappy sodium msg filled deli meat. The grilled veggie panini is ridiculously good for the vegans. Fresh and perfect. Add 2 slices of provolone for a taste treat out of this world. Simone is the closest anyone is going to get to a young Jennifer Aniston but she’s much nicer. The others girls get busy but they are all very nice just not as out going(but that doesn’t mean you can’t be extra friendly and nice to them first) and the place is immaculate and clean. Great for Sunday breakfast but if I don’t get a seat now I’ll be pissed. 5 stars because I could eat here everyday. It closes at 3! Find Simone(butterfly tattoo on shoulder) if you want great service and water refills. She’s excellent. I wish I was rich so I could hire the chef personally.

Don’t go here in a rush… Only 1 other person at the place during my visit but yet somehow it still took 20 minutes to get an egg sandwich… Otherwise the place is nice-ish…

This place is perfect if you like awful service. I keep coming back for good food knowing I’ll serve myself and have long waits while the staff chats with friends at the breakfast bar.

Love this«hidden gem»! One of our absolute favorite restaurants in Norwalk. Great breakfast/lunch options that are both healthy and satisfying! Something for everyone. There’s always locals sipping coffee/doing work by the bar… which is how you can usually tell it’s a good spot! I highly recommend.

Good food but the service wasn’t very good. It took forever to place our orders and had to ask for water. Never refilled our water once. Only reason I am giving them 3 stars is because the food was decent and the illy coffee.

This is one of those hidden gems in Norwalk that you’d miss if you didn’t know it existed. Tucked off the main strip in Norwalk’s South End. A block from Washington Ave and at the end of Haviland Street. If you’re visiting from out of town this is the place to go for breakfast and lunch. They close at 3pm so don’t show up at 2:45. That’s just plain rude. This place had me at Illy. If you never heard of Illy then you don’t deserve to be writing reviews about restaurants. Put the keyboard down and walk away. Probably the best coffee in the world. Italian or Domestic. I will argue that all day and night. The menu consist of simple items. Nothing too extravagant or over done. A panini here and a salad there. I can’t comment on breakfast seeing as I’ve only eaten there one time for it. But I hear it’s good nonetheless. Lunch is down right sadistically awesome. If you love a good panini they do it right. A wrap. Yeah they have that down too. I’m a huge fan of the Corn Beef on Rye though. This sandwich is so good that it puts some of New York’s delis to shame. I’m not even kidding. I’ll put my 37 year chef reputation on the line on this one. Don’t believe me come and try it. You don’t like it I’ll shuck oysters for you,(sorry only thing I can do right now). It tastes like corn beef and prime rib at the same time. So delish. I get it without the heavy sauce and without the sauerkraut for health reasons. But by all means have at it. I’m sure it’s just as good. Salads are fantastic. And they’re great at accommodating your requests. Beverages are plentiful. Coffee, Soda, Ice Tea, Homemade Ice Tea and as always water. They make their own desserts too even. The only thing I’d say as a former restaurant owner is give more attention to the guests and watch their drinks. I don’t want to have to ask for a refill. That’s it.

I did go back again! My wife and I went for a brunch time meal. The food as always is very good. Once again the service is lacking! The personality of the three waitress’ working was super pleasant, but asking how your meal is and a refill on coffee is non-existent! Four stars; five if the service improves.

I’m happy to have this café so close to my office. I call it in and 10 minutes later, walk over for a hot, fresh, delicious lunch. I’ve tried all of the Panini’s and salads. A little expensive but worth it for the fresh ingredients. Lemon Orzo Soup is a winner!

A fan! Would recommend chocolate chip pancakes and the California Benedict. Raspberry hot chocolate was a special when I went, but that was just honestly ok — not really worth it.

Nice breakfast here. First time I got a great California eggs Benedict on the east coast. Yolks perfect, delicious hollandaise sauce ripe tomato and avocado and decent bacon cooked right. Variety of coffee/tea is options. Nice décor, clean and trendy. Staff very attentive.

My favorite place in Sono. They treat you like family and have great fresh food. I’ve never been disappointed. Great portions for a great price. I come here every weekend. Try the pancakes and the eggs benedict, too die for!
