The food was bland and did not have any flavor. I ordered the slow cooked pull pork and it tasted like the pork was boiled and not marinated. I ordered the Banana Crème Pie for Desert. The desert had sliced bananas, whip crème and drissled chocolate sauce. Very dissappointing.

This place is great for lunch or dinner, and their Sunday brunch is amazing with a huge buffet and mimosa refills. The staff is nice, the ambiance is cozy, and the menu has something for everyone. I’ve never had a problem with anything I’ve ordered. They have a large selection of beers, which I’m also a fan of.

Came here on a Monday for lunch and it was pretty empty. The beer menu was impressive. Lots of choices for a picky beer guy like myself. Was disappointed when the waiter took away the Oktoberfest menu as it was only for dinner. The lunch menu was large but there was nothing that stood out as being original. I went with the onion soup which was quite good. I also had the Beer Burger, which based on the wordy description, sounded great. It wasn’t. Undercooked for my order and the pretzel roll just seemed like a hamburger bun with salt on top. The waffle fries and pickle were the best items on the plate. My girlfriend liked the squash ravioli off the specials menu, but at $ 12 for four ravioli is overpriced for lunch. Though I was interested in the Oktoberfest menu. I don’t think I would be back here to eat. If I was in the area I would stop in for the great beer choices but not for a meal.

Came here for a Sunday brunch. I really really wanted to like this place, but if you don’t want to go through the long details, the summary is: large amount of food, but doesn’t qualify the price. It’s super close to the aquarium! For a day-of reservation, their only options were sitting outside far, far away from the buffet line, or upstairs. We decided on being upstairs, which was annoying but far better than walking through people to go from outside to inside. Drinks: Among my largest dislikes: your source of drinks are your waiters and with the amount of salt you will be taking in, it’s frustrating to wait for the waiter to come by with the pitcher of OJ and bubbly because they don’t walk around that much. And the OJ tasted like it was out of the box without being cold enough, so after a while we just asked for glasses of soda(which were a part of the brunch price, thankfully) Food: Large variety. But not as exciting as I was hoping. It’s served on a drab looking table in the center of the restaurant. The young ones ate mostly mac and cheese so that made them happy. Service: As I mentioned, the service was a little slow. But mostly, I felt like the people working just weren’t the smiling type and I felt a little on edge. I think we were just disappointed. I was expecting something more upscale for the price.(And we had debated on attire but apparently casual would have been fine.) And I can’ t give more than three stars for this place.

Went for lunch… totally adequate… but seriously how does one screw up a salad? LOL… want to try the brunch… gigantic place, and the prices reflect that… kinda like a Friday’s in theme, or any one of those huge places like the former Bennigans etc etc… Prices like I said are high…$ 14.50 for a Brehouse Salad which was basically a Cobb Salad… not overly impressed but I will try bunch and report back…

I’ve been going here for many work parties and due to the short walk it takes to get here from my house. Only once was I ever disappointed with their food and they scratched it from the bill and gave me another free meal in return anyway. A cozy atmosphere mixed with higher end comfort food makes a great pick. Their current roasted chicken special is amazing!!! Also, try their brunch and sit outside.

Parking right outside. It’s a brew house, they have a large bar. Changing table in the bathroom for parents.

Went here last night on a date with my wife and she had the fish and chips and I had the Sante Burger. The burger was great! The fish wasn’t what my wife was expecting. She expecting deep fried and crispy fish. Service was good. The waiter we had last night we had before. Nice guy, deserving of a good tip.

I keep going back but I’m not sure why. Usually the food is fine but service is off in one way or another. Went a few weeks ago, and after placing my order the waiter called my request«boring» and suggested I get something other than the shrimp salad. I said I was content with it, and that I wanted to keep it healthy, to which he suggested I change it from mixed greens to spinach because it was healthier. I didn’t ask for the recommendation. My friend ordered the lobster salad, and once again he says«why don’t you get the lobster roll instead?». I’ve never had a waiter insult my order. I’m sure he was trying to be friendly but it just came off as rude. I think I’ll try to stick to brunch from now on.

Best brunch selection! Reservations are a must, as it gets busy. They have everything from your normal breakfast desires to a carving station, and a huge dessert selection. The servers are beyond friendly and very attentive — always making the rounds to make sure they keep your mimosa glass full! $ 30 p/p for two hours(I have only been to the 11am seating for brunch, and there is a 1pm seating, but I am not sure if the 1pm brunch ends at 3) of unlimited food and drink is a great deal. Within walking distance to Maritime; we really enjoy having brunch and taking a stroll to the aquarium.

If i were to come back in another form after id die, id come back as brewhouse brunch. This brunch was so good that mid way through i found myself laying in the middle of the floor spitting mimosa into the air like a beautiful greek fountain. Seriously the brunch is a great buffet with many options that will keep you coming back for more until you literally explode eggs and chicken franchese onto the nearby old school brewing tanks. Service was always there when we needed a refill on our mimosas and was very friendly. The only complaint i have was we went as a party of 2 but an unexpected stink bug actually made its way to our table as well. I wasn’t to bothered because the food was so good that i was able to add«Phil The Stinkbug’ to my eggs Benedict and gobble him up as well.

I’ve only been here for brunch which gets pretty crowded. The server did a great job with keeping up with our bottomless mimosas. They have an overwhelming selection of food. There’s a carving station, raw bar, soups, salads, pastas, eggs, bacon, sausage, fresh waffles, and deserts. My only gripe with the brunch is although there’s lots of food I found that most of it was bland. I feel they could eliminate some dishes and focus on the quality of the core dishes. Otherwise it’s a nice time. I love the décor and the casks displayed in the dining room. I also really like the beer selection.

We came here today after visiting the aquarium bc hubby liked it last time we were here — I was not a fan last time but decided to give them a second try. I must say, I’m glad we came back… As soon as we were seated our server came over within 3 minutes to bring us water and welcome us… I took this opportunity to order my daughter’s meal(Mac n cheese) while placing my drink order. Being that I was starving and craving a burger it didn’t take me long to pick out the BBQ Pit Burger. Hubby decided on the lunch special — a cup of Chicken Noodle Soup and Pulled Pork sandwich(with chips)… When we were ready to place our order my little ones meal arrived nice and quick. She ate ½ of her Mac n Cheese and was finished so hubby and I ate the rest — it was cheesy and creamy. When our meals came we both dove into it bc we were so hungry. My burger was phenomenal! Hubby said his Pulled Pork was really good as well. An extra bonus which made me happy was every time my soda was almost empty our waiter would come over and ask if I wanted another one… Extra bonus — they were free refills! Now I can say I look forward to the next visit to the aquarium bc we will be back here afterwards!

I don’t visit Connecticut often, but I imagine this is one of the relatively rare places to go around the area to get a good drink while soaking up the casual yet trendy brewery ambiance. Although I did not get the beer I wanted(a pumpkin ale), there were decent cocktails and wines to choose from. The beer burger was also pretty good, and you can even choose sweet potato fries as the side that comes with the meal(without paying extra, as many other places charge an addition dollar or two for substituting regular fries with sweet potato fries). You can also add mushrooms and tomatoes. All for just about $ 10. The place is spacious and decently decorated. Large groups can be easily accommodated with big tables, and there’re comfier booths too. Next time I’m in the area I’ll probably be back.

I love brunch. I love mimosas. However, I hate buffets… But I did NOT hate Brewhouse’s buffet brunch. In fact, it was one of the best I’ve been to in a long time. Unilocaler Emily C. pretty much broke it down… oysters, smoked salmon, eggs benedict, a carving station… it just went on! Everything was fresh and trays were replaced as soon as they started getting low. They also offer the option of made to order omelettes, which you order at your table. I had absolutely no problem finding something I could eat… and I kept going back for the bacon, which was cooked perfectly. We went for a friend’s bday… planning on taking full advantage of the all you can drink mimosas. And, not only was the staff fantastic about 7 loud(very good-looking!), hungover-from-the-previous-evening-girls, eating all we could… they kept the mimosas going for us long after they should have. The brunch is only $ 30pp and well worth it. It’s definitely not really a place to take kids… though there were a few spotted. They also have a few TVs in the bar… so if brunch, mimosas and football is your thing(and it is mine!), you can enjoy all three. I’ll be back!

Went there for the«all you can eat» breakfast brunch. The all you can drink mimosas are great. But be careful — they will sneak up on you. I ran into a lady on my way to the restroom who had a bit too much to drink. The buffet was outstanding.

Oh man do I love Sunday brunch. Hosts and waitstaff are refreshingly enthusiastic, and most importantly, my mimosa glass never runs dry. If $ 29.95 per head seems high, fetch another plate of Eggs Benedict or oysters on the half-shell and repeat until you feel better about it. ;) Sitting upstairs can be a bit of a pain, but the exercise helps justify pigging out.(It would be a good idea to let the restaurant know ahead of time if your party will include elderly or handicapped guests, so they can make sure to have a table ready on the first floor.) Sunday brunch is very popular, so reservations are highly recommended. Complimentary newspapers are a nice touch!

Dear Brewhouse SoNo, you need to clean your taps. This review is based only on the bar, and while I like the high tops and bench seating, the Bud Light tasted weird, along with all of the other draft beers. Please clean your taps soon, so I can come back for more beer, and food next time.

Oh, I hadn’t been here in YEARS, but the food is even better than I ever remembered. I came to the Brewhouse on Sunday morning for a post-wedding brunch(with my best friend’s wedding party), and we rewarded ourselves with plate after plate of oysters, smoked salmon, caviar(HELLOOOO beautiful raw bar), eggs benedict, lobster pot pie, unlimited mimosas, Belgian waffles, dim sum, mussels, carving stations, ceviche, crabmeat stuffed sole. Mostly adults here but you also see some kids walking by with plates piled high with only waffles and mac & cheese…(gluttonous and awesome). You get the picture. Plus massive, massive pastry tables filled with every treat imaginable. My inner fat kid’s heart is STILL leaping from all the tasty treats. Keep in mind — there are only two seatings, at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. Next time I’m down in Norwalk, I’ll be reminded to treat myself here again.
