Great in a pinch. I give it a 3 because I’m just picky and love more of a selection and a bigger co-op experience(like in Belfast). It’s cute though, and if you want to support local, I definitely recommend it! I also highly recommend the maple seltzer they have in the cooler from Vermont… I regularly stop and buy them out of it because it’s a big favorite with guests to the western foothills.

This is a local food cooperative. Many things change with the seasons, but they do have a good selection of basics from grains and beans to condiments. The area has few options and this one is pleasantly on the mark. I even found low sodium tamari at a very good price. Definitely worth stopping in. Discounts for members but all are welcome to shop.

I used to wander in here from time to time when I lived in the area, but I was too young and stupid to realize just what I was passing up. I have a lot of health concerns so a store like this is just what I need, and while visiting recently I popped back in to see what was up. I was immediately greeted by several staff members who apologized for their disarray — they were redoing the store and a lot of stuff was moved around and under construction. I let them know I’d been there before and had been passing through to check the place out again, and she was so relieved I had seen them before their current state. While we didn’t really need any food, my boyfriend and I couldn’t resist grabbing some whoopie pies on our way out. They were fairly inexpensive, and I was happy to see they were made by Hungry Hollow up on 26. The cashier told us her favorite was the pumpkin, as we had gotten that and the chocolate. Once we ate them later we wished more were purchased, because(sorry auntie!) those were the best whoopie pies I’ve ever had.
