I love their special naan and baigan bhartha. Their saag is more greens and tomato than cream, which I really like, but it’s a different style from other places in the area, so some of my friends that expected a creamy dish were surprised. We’ve gone a few times to eat there, and it has always been quiet. We’ve ordered takeout several times and never had a problem with getting the right order, which is a huge plus after dealing with some of the other places in the area.

Pretty darn good. We go on a regular basis and the Vindaloo is delicious. They never seem to have many people inside, but it maybe because we do take out early.

Food is delicious! Had the vegetable samosa, chicken tikka, and shrimp dish and garlic nan. All of them were amazing. Couple owns and works there and authentic fresh cooking. Friendly service. Try it!

Authentic, delicious, and priced for the market. India Grill & Mild Curry is truly a hidden gem that should not be missed. Nestled in the most unassuming of plaza’s with a pleasent, albeit spartan décor, the restaurant shines when it comes to what really matters. Their lamb curry is the best I’ve ever had.

We were on a trip to Mohegan and this place was pretty close. Considering the reviews this place had we tried it out. Menu has just 4 veg and non veg starters and none of those were available. They had samosa but it was frozen! Main course was ok but then they didn’t have jeera rice . Don’t know if people go there because it’s still the best in that area

The food was delicious and the service was awesome. I had the chicken tikka masala. It was yummy and full of flavor. The garlic naan was freshly baked goodness. The décor could use some upgrading and the drink menu was lacking, but the taste and value of the food made up for it. We will definitely be back.

Can’t say enough. But I’ll try. Don’t be deceived by the understated décor. The food is phenomenal. We got Boti Kabob, Chicken Paatia, Garlic Naan all to go. They even equipped us with the crispy bread and the dipping sauces. They included rice and portions are very generous. This place could survive in a large city and charge 3X as much. Luckily they’re here in down town Norwich.

Flavorful Indian food in a strip mall location. Clean, attentive service, menu covering the usual Indian dishes. About as good as Indian gets in these parts. Nothing fancy, just reasonably priced, well seasoned dishes. Does take out too.

Delicious again! My fiancé and I love it! I got the malai kofta as it is my favorite. My fiancé tried the chicken tandoori tonight, it was fantastic, fresh and full of flavor! The mango lassi is addicting, I had to stop my self from slurping the entire drink down at once. This place is a true gem in Norwich. Don’t be turned off by the appearance, the food is great. The service is great too!

We got take-out from here last night. Delicious! And it didn’t make either of us feel heavy or gross afterwards like Indian food sometimes can. We got two of the vegetarian dishes. Maybe not the most flavorful Indian food I’ve had, but very good. Highly recommend.

We arrived at 9pm to be told take-out only. But as our food was being packed an Indian family comes in and of course is allowed to dine-in. The food may have been the most tasteless cuisine I have been served in years(like I could have cooked the chickpeas like that myself). Portion size was tiny, half of what I receive at say Mahajara Palace for the same price(and they actually have décor and ambiance). A giant let down to say the least. Apparently if you want quality service you either need to speak Hindi or show up when they want you to. Sadly Taco Bell or BK would have been better.

Dropped in here today as I happened to be in the area. However despite the 11.00am posted opening time 7 days a week, at noon it is still closed. Sad because there were some good reviews posted just recently and I do enjoy good Indian food. Have the business hours changed?

We brought our friends from France and Mumbai– all the food was delicious! Rogan Josh, chicken kadahi, garlic naan and more. Don’t let the modest location prevent you from enjoying some of the best Indian food you will have in the U.S.

I’ll start by saying that I love Indian food. India Grill and Mild Curry is wonderful. It’s a shame more people do not try this place. I’ve gone here 5 times now and most time, my group is the only patrons. The Rogan Josh and Goat Curry were fantastic. It is hidden in a strip mall but don’t let that fool you. This place is a must stop. Look for Dairy Queen. It’s right next door.

Gem hidden in a small plaza with hard to spot signage. Look for a small blue sign. Unassuming interior and exterior hide a chef/owner with refined sense of proportion. Pampadom(spelling?) so light and crisp that it is obviously fresh. The normal trip of sauces are all also homemade. Normally I am not a fan of the«green» sauce but in this case I am won over by a thin almost pickle like take on this. Tamarind sauce was full of real flavor not buried in sugar. Red onion sauce was also lovely. Veggie samosa was unique in a light flaky crust with actual veggies not the usual mashed potato. Sprinkled with a tangy spiced salt, and obviously home made . Chicken tiki masala was a lovely dish, far less sweet and less creamy than one usually finds and so it seemed more«authentic» than what I’m used to seeing in this dish. Turns out the owner chef has had other restaurants, and tried to retire, but can’t quit doing what he loves. I hope to visit this place again the next time we are in the area.

Absolutely delicious. Great atmosphere as well. I had the chicken curry with garlic nan, I highly suggest trying it. The owner is also very nice.

Had the lamb saag today, one of my favorite dishes. Unfortunately it was not as good as their chicken tikka masala. The lamb was a little tough; it should be more tender. Also the spinach wasn’t as creamy as I’m used to in a saag. Overall the dish was just a little bit off. They seemed rushed this time, and I think there was only 1 person working the lunch shift. I won’t hold it against them, but I have to bump them down to 4 stars from 5. They are still probably the best Indian restaurant in the area and I will be back! The sweet lassi was great & the mulligatawny soup was delicious and surprisingly spicy. BYOB& free wifi.
