Cafe Fresh Bagel

I have been here several times for bagels, bagel sandwiches, and salad. I have even had their coffee too. I must say that their bagels are delicious! I love that they make and use their own fresh eggs for the bagel sandwiches. So satisfying and delicious. The grilled chicken salad is amazing for the price you pay. I love this little spot in sterling.

Waitresses mean business and we’re very short with us as we ordered. I asked to order separately but they said they were fine and then the switched up our orders. Know what you want or they will get mad.

The staff are nice and welcoming. That’s the only good thing I can say about this particular location. The others, in Dedham and Needham are great but this location… Not so much.
I gave this Café Fresh Bagel 3 tries. Yes 3.
First time, there was something hard in the home fries. Like crunchy, tooth chipping hard. It looked like a pebble. Don’t actually know what it was, but it wasn’t supposed to be in the home fries. Could’ve been a fluke. I didn’t let that be the determining factor in not going back. It was unpleasant, but it could’ve been worse.
Second time, there was a long hair in my egg.
Imagine taking a bite of a sandwich packed with egg and bacon only to get a nice hair cooked into the mix. Gross. I understand, sometimes these things happen. They don’t need to if you wear proper hair coverings. Even a hat would be sufficient, especially if you’re actively making and cooking the food. I was so grossed out I said I’d never go back.
Well, third time…
My husband decided to bring home some breakfast today. Where did he go? Café Fresh Bagel. Guess he didn’t get the memo.
I opened up the sandwich box and BAM, there’s a hair BAKED into the bagel. Baked. Into. The. Bagel.
I’m officially done with this location. Yuck!!!

The two nice ladies working behind the counter were so attentive, very happy, and made the experience five stars in my book! The food was SPECTACULAR! I’ve never seen a bacon egg and cheese made the way they do it… Over all an awesome experience and I can’t wait to come back next time I’m in Norwood!

Girls are amazing, bagels are wonderful. Nice place! We were so hungry and we good. I should write a lot, cause it’s rules of the Unilocal.But really it’s just great place. Thanks Zombies girls for bagels

I had to check out this place after reading rave reviews here on Unilocal.The first time I ordered I was surprised that I wasn’t at all impressed… maybe an off day? So I gave it a second. and third… and fourth try. I’m not sure what the hype is about? I’ve had better, but I’ve also had worse. Pretty much middle of the road bagel and spread, and my co-​workers agree. (Side note: I may be a bit bagel biased after the insanely amazing bagels at the «other» bagel place in Norwood). I generally get sesame with veggie spread with lettuce and tomato, and each time the tomatoes have been soggy, which can really put a damper on things. The one time I decided to eat inside the establishment I had to leave due to several fruit flies hovering over me and swopping down (I’m not sure if that can be prevented or not, though it’s quite annoying). The other negative is the service. The counter experience has never been friendly, and on one occasion the woman yelled at the customer before me after she complained she was given a plain bagel when she ordered a sesame. The employee argued with her and insisted she *had* ordered a plain bagel (when she hadn’t– I clearly heard her say sesame). How hard is it to say a quick «sorry» and fix it? It seems pretty counterproductive and a waste of time to fight over it. After I witnessed that I have not come here since. I hate that this review seems so negative (that’s really not like me) and I’m trying to think of something positive to say… I have heard great things about the egg/​meat sandwiches, though I haven’t tried them so maybe check them out? Also, the service is generally pretty fast, which is great especially when you’re running late to work!

I’ve been coming here since I moved to the area last year. It is my favorite bagel place. The staff is wonderful and the service is fast. Can’t say enough good things about the quality of the bagels and the cream cheese. The egg sandwiches are made to order and delicious. A neighborhood joint that shouldn’t be missed.

Amazing bagels, amazing ingredients, amazement in your mouth! I come here almost every morning and have never been disappointed with the food OR the service. Yeah, you can buy bagels at stop and shop, but will they be as fresh and delicious? Not even close. Quality over quantity any day!!!

I am a big fan of the bagels here and the coffee but the bagel sandwich just was too big for me. There was SO MUCH egg that it really overpowered the whole sandwich. I will stick with a yummy bagel toasted with butter and coffee, but skip the sandwich. I know it it personal preference with this, but just not for me.

Wanted to try a new bagel place so I came here. The staff was SO friendly. A little boy with his father were in line next to me, the little boy dropped his sippy cup and the cashier immediately offered to wash it off and then continued bring their food to their table because the fathers hands were full! I got a sesame bagel with cream cheese and an iced Mocah coffee! It was SO good! I will be coming here a lot more often :)

I’ve been coming here for breakfast once a weekend for a while now and have never been disappointed. The breakfast sandwiches are enormous! A sandwich in the morning will keep me full well into the afternoon. Nothing is flash cooked or microwaved, everything is done fresh on the griddle. The bagels are awesome here! Huge, packed with toppings, and fresh. The unsung hero though is the iced coffee. Puts Dunkins to shame.
The staff is always friendly and cheerful. Café Bagel is a credit to the town of Norwood.

Came for the first time today and wasn’t impressed. The lack of coffee options was disappointing to say the least. The plain iced coffee was very watered down and loaded with sugar that it was barely drinkable. About an inch in the bottom of the cup. Gross. Bagels didn’t look like anything special with very basic kinds to choose from. I wouldn’t come here again as there are much better options in the area.

Hands down the best ice coffee and egg and cheese sandwiches around. Great family feel. The owners make you feel like your part of the family. You can also call ahead so your sandwich is ready when you get there. Great place

Can’t beat the bagels here! Always fresh, always a great variety and the staff is so nice!

Went out of my way to find a decent bagel. Offering a free bagel with ANY purchase. I order a coffee and bagel with cream cheese. Charged me for the bagel anyway because the sign doesn’t say cream cheese is free. It’s deceptive and left me annoyed.
Bagel itself was okay. I should have gone to Dunkin instead.
Edit: I just noticed one of the employees sent me a tirade, insulting me. LOL. Nice place you got here guys.

The bagels are huge, delicious and fresh. They also have a free bagel with any purchase going on.

Amazing sandwich… Best breakfast sandwich I have had all year!!! From the fluffy eggs to the fresh bagels… This place is by far the best bang for the buck…
Customer service was quick, polite and the ladies up front were extremely friendly…
If you are ever in the Norwood area, I recommend you trying this place and/​or recommend it to a friend!!!

Just absolutely «fire» bacon egg and cheese bagels. Best place in the town by far. Iced coffees are amazing too.

Not so fresh bagels today. :(. They taste day old. Not trying to be mean… but the old guy, who seems like the owner, doesn’t know how to treat customers. He is grumpy, doesn’t smile, & orders his employees around. I used to love this place. Not so much any longer!

They changed the recipe for the eggs bagels! Now they are bready and stale tasting.
What a bummer! Bring back the old recipe.
