I’m giving 3 stars because the food was good. My whole table pretty much got steak tips and broiled haddock. Both were great. Service = 1 The moment we walked in on a fairly slow Saturday night the hostess was miserable. We smiled and said hello how are you, table for 5 please! :) –she was just angry with life I think –she basically threw the menus and our silverware at us …10 minutes goes by. No server …15 minutes goes by. No server I kindly go up to the hostess and let her know we haven’t seen anyone yet, they may not know we were seated …the same waitress who walked by us 7 times. Looked at us, rolled her eyes and walked away. …another 5 – 6 mins… Random other waitress «Hi everyone so sorry for the wait, can I get you drinks?» We were kind to her, and tipped well. But thoroughly disappointed, it was odd.

Simple home cooking at an affordable price. We had asked several people for a recommendation for lunch and it was unanimous! Glad we went, very cozy on a snowy day!

Conrad’s grilled chicken is VERY good! The chicken caesar salad is so delicious that this is the only place where I will order a salad as an entrée. I tried their pizza for the first time the other day and it was delightful. The steak tips, calzones, meatballs, and chicken quesadilla are also yummy. Service in the dining room tends to be spotty so hubs and I always sit in the bar area — quick and efficient!

The low mark is for the rude waitress who throws pens. She brought the bill and says no hurry… no kidding she disappeared for 20 minutes and when she returned she ignored us for another 5 while she ran someone else’s card who she just handed their bill to and then came to get mine. When she brought the bill back she literally threw the pen on the table and stormed off. I signed and gave a 15% tip which is the least I tip because it is part of their pay however I did consider leaving nothing because she was that bad.

I don’t rate a restaurant based on the bread they put on the table. Good thing It’s horrible. However fun place great food. Our go to place. Never a bad meal. But the Bread!!! Please upgrade. My only criticism. Don’t let that stop you from going!

I am going to go ahead and rate this restaurant five stars, based on the fact that it has become one of my favorites and«go to» spots in this area. It is the closest I can think of to a «cheers» kind of establishment, and I almost expect someone to scream out«Norm!» at any given moment. It’s just an old-fashioned, simple, family style American eating establishment. They Don’t really have a theme, it’s very simple… And that’s what makes it so nice. They Focus on the service and food… Which is what restaurant should be doing anyways. Right off the bat, I have to tell you that if you don’t order the steak tips, you are doing something wrong in life. Seriously. Trust me when I tell you that I am a carnivore, and I prefer steak tips over almost any other food. Having Said that, I have tried steak tips at many different locations. I will most likely not try them anywhere else now. Conrads has ruined me to steak tips at other restaurants. They are that good… Just get them, and I defy you to disagree with me! Beyond the amazing steak tips, I have continually been impressed with the professional, relaxed service, as well as the incredibly reasonable prices. They even have a nice bar area, and you can always find locals relaxing and enjoying the environment. Conrads offers a good, well-rounded restaurant. You can certainly take a date to this place, and bring the whole family as well. It’s fairly well suited for almost every occasion. Overall, I have been very happy with this restaurant. It’s not incredibly fancy, and not very modernized, but it also doesn’t claim to be. It’s just simple, straightforward American fare. That suits me just fine.

My girlfriend and I come here pretty frequently and always have a great meal. From the steak tips to the seafood and pasta dishes, you can’t really go wrong with your pick. Deb has been our waitress on a couple of occasions and she always goes above and beyond. Prices are very fair and the portions are well above average. Would give a 5 out of 5 but they lose one star for bar service. That’s our normal dining locale at places like Conrad’s but here we have sat at the bar on a few different occasions and have not felt welcome almost to the point where we feel as though we’re taking seats from regulars even though we frequent this place quite often. Great place to visit otherwise!

The food wasn’t bad. The proportions were larger than expected. I ordered the chicken parm, and my significant other ordered«Norwood’s Finest». We received bread, which I thought would be warm, they were ice cold. The bread was ice cold. Our waitress made our first experience to «Conrads» a not so great one. She was older, not friendly, quick to leave the table, took forever to come back. I believe her name was, Lora. If you go here, please request to not have her.

Just about everyone I know has told me how good Conrad’s is and tonight I finally ate there with my family. We won’t be back. The food was just not good. You know how sometimes you think«maybe it will be better the next time?». I won’t even take that chance, one and done for me.

Always a good meal at Conrad’s. Turkey tips are amazing, buffalo chicken pizza is a must order & can never go wrong with the steak tips. Service could improve with a friendlier wait staff. Can’t beat the price for a meal here.

I would chose the Walpole location over this one any day. Always seems so so loud in here and staff seems disorganized. Doesn’t give a welcoming feeling when you are there like i get at the Walpole location. Decent food, okay service, but drive a little further and get a better experience.

My boyfriend and I visited Conrad’s for dinner recently and were less than impressed. First, when we walked in the hostess was nowhere to be found and another couple got in line behind us. A waitress noticed and rather than just stepping up and helping, said she would look for the hostesses. Eventually the hostess appeared on her own and we were seated. Then we waited… for at least 10 minutes for a waitress. She came and took our drink order — two drinks and two waters. They eventually came. We were ready to order, but she said she’d be back for our order. So we waited… and waited… considered leaving. I’m pretty sure we could have had a pizza delivered during this time. She finally returned and took our order. We got an appetizer and two bowls of soup. Appetizer comes out at a reasonable pace. We finish it and are waiting for soup. Now, I’m pretty sure(like most places) soup is kept in a hot well/Bain Marie so all the waitress has to do is ladle it into a bowl. 10+ more minutes pass as we wait for soup. Here’s the best part. My clam chowder arrives fine, but as my boyfriend is stirring his tomato basil, he encounters… lumps. Upon further inspection, we realize that they are MEATBALLS. FULLSIZEMEATBALLS. I don’t know if thr kitchen ran out of soup, or there was a mix up(I doubt it), but at some point they tried to pass of their marinara sauce as tomato basil soup. Eventually we were able to flag down the waitress and she replaced it with a chicken cilantro soup, which wasn’t very good and we had it removed from the bill. To try to speed up getting out of there, my boyfriend went to the not crowded bar and asked the bartender to break a $ 20. She told him to wait while she continued to push a sopping wet non-sanitizing rag around the bar for at least another minute. She didn’t ask which bills he wanted and just threw the money down on the wet bar, making them soggy. She didn’t make any eye contact and made it seem like he was a huge inconvenience. It sucks because Conrad’s has pretty good food for an even better price, but service that night was appaling.

First this was the walpole location but overall the less than 3 star reviews are spot on. The food is mediocre at best. Its low quality frozen vegetables for sides and salads. The«famous» steak tips are barely charred as tips should be. The flavor tastes fake like they used liquid smoke to enhance the tips. But they are edible and overall«ehhhh» which is why they get 2 stars instead of 1. For 2 people you can have dinner for $ 30 – 40 but i would spend the extra $ 20 for the quality somewhere else.

We’ve been to Conrad’s twice now. Once for a birthday party where we were very impressed with the food and service. The second time not so much. We were seated pretty quickly for how busy the place was, however; they put us at a table right by the door that had a lot of foot traffic. Immediately our waitress put a sour taste in our mouths. She was cranky and rude. We went from impressed to uncomfortable as soon as she spoke. She seemed annoyed that we weren’t ready to order right away, snapped at us when we asked about what kind of dressing they had and gave a rude response when i asked her what her favorite dish on the menu was. I ordered the steak tips with broccoli and a salad. The steak tips as always had amazing flavor but the broccoli was barely cooked and lacked any flavor. My boyfriend ordered the stuffed shrimp. He said they were good but nothing spectacular. I think overall we would go back there if we were really craving those steak tips but we would be cautious. That waitress ruined our experience. I regret not getting her name to say something to the manager.

It was a big night out. I was taking a study break, we were celebrating Bri’s job. So to Conrad’s we went! I actually don’t know the real reason for going, but I was excited! We had a bit of a wait, and the place was packed. Once seated, our waitress was funny and fast. They have a really fun drink menu, and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere is family style, with a big bar area, lots of tvs, some tables with tvs at them, and then a more«formal» room(aka no tvs at the tables). Regardless, it is great for families, and has a laid back atmosphere. I was overwhelmed with the menu. There were so many options, and the food was so cheap. Like too cheap. Like something has to be wrong to be that cheap. I am not complaining, whatsoever, it was just a fact. Being overwhelmed with the menu, made I forget what the table ordered, but I got a pizza. I reasoned to get a large pizza, since it was only $ 1 more, and I could have leftovers. Gster didnt get this, and when the pizza came, I kind of was confused too. A large ISHUGE. However, the pizza– especially the crust– was good! It was not great pizza, but it was fulfilling, and it did taste great the days(or weeks) that followed. It was worth the extra $ 1. I will make note that the bread was gross rolls that look like they come 6 for 99 cents from Walmart, it was almost insulting. If you are going to serve bread, at least offer a decent, or normal type. The food here was not that impressive, and I would assume the majority of it is frozen. HOWEVER, the prices are amazing, and the food tastes good! ! I think they are more known for theri steak tips/turkey tips– and for that I can say the people in my party loved them. Overall, the price is right and It is a great neighborhood establishment. It is a great addition to downtown Norwood.

I do not eat red meat but I get the steak tips salad or steak tips pizza cut small and well done and it’s a little house if heaven! I love black olives and usually enjoy them in salad and in pizza and I always forget they have strongly marinated black olives Greek style I think that I don’t like at all and that makes me sad because everything else is great! Super fun atmosphere, friendly staff, they have Keno and sports on huge TVs si this is not a romantic date nice place but the food is worthy of a date night!!!

It is extremely clear that this is a local townie place– it’s also clear that they don’t really like anyone else. Let me preface this by saying that it was a busy Friday night and 50% of our party was 40 minutes late and we had already been seated. While the service was lacking, my haddock was really delicious and my shrimp were cooked perfectly. I tried someone else’s steak tips and also very good. Salad was right on with a yummy dressing too. If they cleaned up the attitudes/service, it would have been much better.
