Amani Alterations

This place is amazing. Aman altered and sized my wedding dress. The alteration work was meticulous and professional. He had to alter my wedding dress from size 14 to 4 and the result was amazing, well fitted and flawless.
We also rented my husband’s tux from here. His prices are very reasonable and the tux was high quality.

They did a quick and an incredible job of turning my Ralph Lauren tuxedo strapless jumpsuit to a perfect fit with a beautiful finish on the back. It’s stunning and I will wear it proudly in the South of France next week. :-)

Amani altered my sisters dress and my mother-​in-​laws dress for my wedding both fit perfectly! He also did the bustle for my wedding dress. Flawless!!!

I was a bridesmaid in my friend’s wedding and she decided to have the dresses made. When they arrived, hey were not the right color and had to be sent back and then quickly be remade. Unfortunately, the dressmaker was not very experienced and my dress could have fit me and another person in it… it was HUGE and needed some major work. It also arrived the DAY BEFORE THE WEDDING.
My friend (another bridesmaid) and I went to Amani and explained our situation. He was very understanding and realized that we were in a bind. He actually said «I’m going to drop everything else and just work on this» !!! What an angel. He called a few hours later (he said he wanted to make sure it was ok the night before, in case he had to fix it further) and even offered his services to others in the wedding party, should they need it. While we were in there a lot of other people came in to have stuff altered, so I know he worked hard to have our dresses ready. On my dress, he brought up the hem and took out about half the fabric… and it looked amazing!!! I couldn’t believe it was the same dress. I have even worn it again since then because I love it so much now. Through the whole thing he was very friendly and nice and didn’t seem annoyed at all that we needed a big last minute job. I am forever grateful to him for doing this for us and would highly recommend his services to everyone.

My boyfriend waited until the very last minute (the day of) to rent a tux for a black tie event we were invited to attend. We decided to do some shopping around to see if there was any way we could get him a tux prior to the event, which was 4 hours from the start of our search.
We went into Amani Alterations in Novato, where we were told we couldnt rent a tux this late… we had to buy. We didn’t want to buy-​he was only going to wear the thing once! The really nice lady working behind the counter got the owner, Amani, on the phone who was working from their store in San Rafael. He said he could help us.
We arrive in San Rafael and are greeted by Amani who already had the ball rolling… everything was pulled out for my boyfriend to try on. He unpacked a brand new shirt, pants and tie, took some measurements and BAM– we had a tux within two hours. Amani was the most helpful. His store is stocked with everything you need for a formal event, even dresses for the ladies. He is fast, very nice and super affordable. I highly recommend Amani alterations for pressing situations, weddings or special events where you want everything to be perfect.
