Hey, the food is pretty good. My buddy and I went here this morning for a late breakfast. The front of the menus read«Old Fashioned Service» when just«Old Fashioned» would be even more accurate. The Formica tables and eclectic décor make for a curious, but pleasant atmosphere. One wall has three banal prints. Another wall has memorabilia. The back wall, where the kitchen is, has a strange Micky Mouse shrine. I did not see the Chef, but my friend said he saw a semi-circular black ear peek out from the kitchen. Is Micky on the lamb in Novato or does someone have a cartoon rodent fetish? Nonetheless, the food was good. My eggs over easy were spot on. The portions were appropriate. Other Novato breakfast spots charge more and give you more. Thanks, but I really don’t need three eggs, three sausages, three pancakes, and toast. When we came, there was no wait and it was small enough that we could carry on a conversation without difficulty. I expect to be back at least once, because I suspected they used fake syrup, but could not confirm. Fake syrup is a death knell for a breakfast place. I will update as new information becomes available.
