To the corporate office, I’ve been to this location a handful of times and I’m genuinely impressed with your staff. They are so knowledgeable and willing to help customers in-person or on the phone. Whether it’s answering questions involving purchases, trade-ins or amiibos(haha), this location has CONSISTENTLY been courteous to anyone that walks through the door. Five stars. You guys get the job done and us consumers think of this store when we’re ready to buy something new or used. :) Thanks for your help!

I think if you are a gamer, you are familiar with Gamestop. They are the leader in buying and selling used games and consoles. As an organization, I think they completely rip off those that sell and buy used games from them. For example, they will give a customer $ 15 for a game and turn around and sell it for $ 45. If I were rating Gamestop as a whole, I would probably give them 2 stars, because of the high prices they sell used games for. With that said, they do have a great selection of older games that can be difficult to find elsewhere. They also have a lot of accessories that can only be found there. Finally, they also do midnight launches for major game releases. These are always fun and the primary reason I actually visit this place. The reason for four stars is really because of the staff. I usually come here 2 – 3 times a year and have participated in 3 midnight launches at this location. While I am not fond of the overall company, the staff here is usually really friendly geeks that just enjoy the content. They are always enthusiastic and enjoy answering questions and discussing the game. For the most recent release of the Arkham series, my wife and I went to the midnight launch. When I phoned ahead, the gentleman that answered was really friendly and helpful. When we got there, the girl that gave us our final receipt was very kind and answered my barrage of questions with a big smile. It was nice to see that many of them circulated around the store simply to have conversations with patrons before midnight. When the games were handed out, the entire staff just seemed happy to be a part of the event. Overall, Gamestop is Gamestop, but this location is really great because they have been lucky enough to hire several friendly faces. I may never sell or buy used from them, but I will continue to buy new games at midnight launches.

The is a great store and staff is always friendly to my kids. They talk to them and answer all of their questions. Which are sometimes a lot! Never pressured or ignored so I feel good going even if it’s just so they can look around or spend a small amount of money.

I love Games and gaming. And routinely am at Gamestop to buy the latest game guide or PC game. With both my wife and I loving video games, Gamestop is our number one place to visit. I personally can’t stand 12 Oaks Mall, so I love that this Gamestop(store # 0578) is in West Oaks II Novi. Its a small storefront but always a good selection. Best thing I like is the $ 5 deposit you can put down for whatever your favorite new game thats coming out. Whether the game is due out next month of 9 months down the road, Gamestop allows you to put a $ 5 deposit to reserve a copy. Plus they call you on your phone the Day before the game comes out to remind you. A+ for service. Being that it is a small store it sure can get crowded on special Game day releases. I was there for the Midnight Special for when World of Warcraft Cataclysm was released. And It was busy as heck! but The people who work there Know the games they sell. Theres always someone there who will gladly yap at you about whatever game you wanna chat about. Sometimes they however let customers ramble on too much which can annoy those of us in line waiting to pay for our purchase. I rarely buy Used Games or Trade in Games so I have no real clue how Gamestop is for that aspect. But If you are into swapping titles They will hook you up and work with you. I love that someone can come in and hop on a PS3 or XBox and try out a game without being harassed too much. They will sometimes even let you Try out a game there if its not too busy. However I usually prefer to just hop in, find my game and/or game guide and then leave. My main Ding is sometimes the Guys/Gals working the counter look a bit disheveled. They are as bad looking sometimes as the clientele. I really DID Not Care to see the Plumbers Crack of the guy bending over when I walked in to buy a game today. If you are gonna work the counter of a store PLEASE take time to comb your hair, wear a clean shirt, and hoist those damn pants up. NOONE Wants to see your hairy butt or 15 tats all over your arms/back/legs wherever.
