I work across the street at paradise park and have been coming here for years. The atmosphere and food are everything you’d hope for after a long day of work. Not a «party» bar more of a great eats and cold drinks kind of deal. Never seen a customer complain, I will be coming back for years to come.

This is a no nonsense place for good food and drinks that don’t break the bank. I’m happy that it’s now my new after work watering hole.

Good food. Friendly staff. My wife and I go there about twice a month. Never had a bad meal. The ribs on Fridays are awesome!

Really unfriendly staff, at least that has been my experience everytime I come here. But the food is good :]

My first time here and I’ll be back. We called the day before to reserve a table for 10 for a work group lunch. They didn’t take a name. Just said, «c’mon in!» I didnt have much confidence in that but sure enough, we walked in and our table for 10 was set and ready for us! The person who greeted us said, «you called yesterday. we’re ready for you!» From there it got better. Our server, her name escapes me, was wonderful. Got everything straight, including some oddball special requests and our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. It’s bar food to be sure, but everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The portions were big. The prices weren’t. Large beer selection with a number of specials for brews on tap, and in cans and bottles. The place is so damned friendly and welcoming I can’t wait to return.

This bar was once my favorite but fell out of favor with me. The hit and miss waitresses just became more misses than hits. The only problem with this bar is the staff. They have their favorites that sit at the bar and they will socialize with them, but if you are not one of them, expect grunts, curtness, and coldness. It isn’t a tipping issue, I can assure you, as I always tip well and try to be friendly.
I know many owners might feel comfortable just sticking with the status quo, but if you are reading this, please, consider doing something to change this. It seems to be a common complaint. You have a really great bar going short of this one important area. I want to have a reason to come back!

Came here for dinner while staying at the Hyatt Place near the Suburban Collection Showplace. Outside of the restaurants at the hotel, its the closest restaurant to the hotel. I will say, the staff were super nice and the deluxe nachos I ordered were very good, but to say the place was dark would be an understatement! There was so little light in the restaurant I couldn’t wait to go outside to get some light (and it was dark out)!
The restaurant doesn’t have a huge variety… sandwiches, burgers, burrito’s, and a lot of appetizers… I would say it is worth a stop if you are in the area, but for the love of God, please go during the light hours…

Great atmosphere Toni was outstanding. This is a great, friendly bar that is a must visit when in Novi. Debbie was attentive as our server and the food was delicious. If you are tired of the chains, come out and give Gatsbys a try. You won’t be disappointed!

I went in there on Sunday to watch football and Pat took good care of me. They always have some kind of drink special going and they always make you feel welcome.

Weekday night, place was dead. The server came over once to grab our drink orders. The beer on tap tasted funny, like it had been frozen or something. The sprite was flat. 15 mins later and the server hadn’t come back to take our food order.
When we eventually did get the food, it was quite average. We got some fries and a hamburger. The hamburger was very greasy and the fries were obviously frozen before being cooked.
Only one server was working the entire time. We came here by chance and I don’t think we’ll be coming back here again.

My first experience was pretty good. My wife and I dropped in for a drink in between planned events. We liked the atmosphere, good location for us, the food looked pretty good. We planned to go back. I decided to stop in today on the way home. I like the idea of giving my business to a local small business owner and not a big corporate chain. Well, that backfired. I really hope the owner reads this to hear the voice of the customer and will better understand why the parking lot is short on cars at his business. I walked in, sat down at the bar. The barmaid seemed to be busy socializing with another patron and ignored me. I waited for her to come by. After 5 minutes, she came over to me, stood there and stared at me. Uncomfortably, I said «hi, how are you». The response was a cold and annoyed «fine». I proceeded to ask about the draft beer selection and about a beer special. The response was literally, «well, that is what the sign says don’t it». Needless to say I walked out. Unpleasant. Rude. Unnecessary. If you don’t have the spine for people, find another gig. Corporate chains at least hire professionals or train them and don’t tolerate that behavior. Good luck. I’ll take my business elsewhere.
