My husband and ate here on a date night. Very pleasant and informative service. The waiter recommended the tea for me since they were out of the mango Lassis that night. The tea was a little spicy but a nice warm accompaniment to the meal. We had the samosas to start and then chicken madras and Tika masala. Everything was well prepared and full of great Indian flavor. Garlic naan was used to soak up all the sauces. We will definitely be back as our love for Indian food keeps growing!

Food quality and service were both very poor. No, this isn’t Indian food. It looks great served. And their pictures are amazing. But hey it’s not the pics I’m eating. The taste was terrible!

Really good food and friendly staff. Really large space and never too crowded. I would recommend ordering off of the menu instead of the buffet, options can be hit or miss.

I’ve been coming here for a while now and each time I’ve had very good experiences. I normally get the same things every time I come: chicken tikka masala, chicken vindaloo, and garlic naan. All so good! Groupon is offering a $ 12 for $ 20 deal too! Can’t beat that. This place is perfect for a relaxing dinner or date.

I’ve been here three times now and the first time wasn’t nearly as good as my second. They have a groupon right now too which I bought for $ 9.60 and got $ 20 worth of food. The food: The chicken tika masala isn’t quite as creamy as others, but it was still very good. This time I had it there was spice in it, first time it was too mild and had less flavor. I really liked the sauce and the flavors this time! The chicken vindaloo was mostly stewed tomatoes and oil with more spice and good flavor. It looked like the same sauce as the tika masala but no cream. It was also very good. But not my entrée, just tried it. The garlic Naan was so fresh and flavorful. We loved it both times! The service was great, both waiters were very nice! We will be back! I highly recommend the garlic Naan!

Went for dinner with my family here, and I have to say, the food was fantabulous! I haven’t had such tasty Indian food in a while. So glad we decided to try this place. Every dish we tried was super flavorful. From the fish tikka, to chicken Kali mirch, to the special paneer– lip smacking good! Naan was good, aloo paratha, not much aloo, nor did it taste like a paratha, a little doughy. Big open space, comfortable seating. BYOB. Great portion size, and they deliver, score! Will definitely be back to try out more! Also counted more than 30 vegetarian dishes, now that’s a selection!

Krishna: a Hindu deity, worshipped across many traditions of Hinduism in a variety of different perspectives. I legit took that from Wikipedia. But, according to our waiter, he had loads of wives. The business name may reflect a Hindu god, but the restaurant is bigger than the Taj Mahal and the menu longer than the Bible. Not sure why they have or need all that space considering we were one of three tables and two of six customers here on a Wednesday night. Oh well. At least the food was good. We went here with a Living Social deal to spend $ 30. That pretty much covered two entrees and an order of garlic naan, which was delicious. We went with the curry chicken($ 13.99) and the lamb mugalai(rich onion and nuts gravy, $ 15.99). Both were very good and very filling. We asked for level 7⁄10 on the spice scale. That was more than enough, and I can handle spice. The only reason I’m at 3 stars is because I couldn’t overlook the hairs in my menu(yes, hairs, plural), nor could I understand why the service was so slow considering there were two of them and six of us total … in the whole restaurant. It’s almost as if the waiters were taking turns making food deliveries while also waiting on the in-house customers. Perhaps they need to hire some of Krishna’s wives to speed things up a bit. BYOB.

The sauce for the Chicken Korma had good flavor and body. The Chicken curry was nice, if not a bit too tomatoish. Consistency of the chicken was not consistent. When eating Indian chicken, we expect smooth even consistency, which, sadly you will not find here. They make you pay for naan? 3.50 for 4 teeny pieces??? overall overpriced for the portions. I had to ask for more rice, which they brought, thankfully. For 14 $ a chicken dish you should have larger portions. Service was straightforward and respectful.

Many vegetarian options, which is always nice. The starting ‘bread’ was delicious, as well as the sweet and the spicy sauces that came with it. The garlic-chili naan was amazing, and the tandoori roti was out of this world. I ordered the vegetable kahloburi, it was the bomb. My friend ordered chicken madras, and he loved it. You can choose your spiciness level, and the staff is very attentive. It’s a big place. Also, try the mango juice. It tastes and feels like freshly peeled mangoes. It was lik dessert, really.

I came here for their lunch buffet and I have to honestly say I was truly disappointed. I love Indian food so when I go to a place that doesn’t do it justice I walk out with the feeling of never wanting to return again. I don’t know if it was that particular day that the food wasn’t that good or that’s just their baseline. I surely hope it is not the latter because it is sad to think that a place with so much potential doesn’t deliver what they are more than capable of. Compared with other Indian lunch buffets that I’ve been to this place really doesn’t have that much of a selection. What they had out looked really sad and dry. It didn’t help that there were only two customers while I was there so I guess they didn’t feel the need to put out their best product. I got a chicken masala that was very heavy on the cream and not enough flavor. A chicken tandoori that was under-cooked and an alu gobi that tasted… well I couldn’t really describe it but it wasn’t good. In addition their lack of dessert irked me in many ways. I mean a least have a gulab jamun or kheer to end the meal on a good note. Those two desserts are fairly common and I was once again disappointed that they didn’t have it. When this place opened up in Nutley I really had high hopes for it. During their grand opening week I saw a fair amount of people come by and gave them a try. For one reason or another I didn’t have the chance to sample their offerings until my lunch buffet visit. The place is big and I could imagine holding a fairly good size party at this place but if their food doesn’t impress what’s the point of holding it there. Like I said I don’t know what happened with the food that particular day but Krishna didn’t do it for me. Perhaps another visit is warranted but for now I’ve certainly experienced better places.

The vegetable samosa was very good and not doughy. I have had better naan there were only 3 pieces and they were small for 2 people. We ordered mango chutney which was not on the menu and it was delicious. The grilled platter had chicken, shrimp and lamb. This dish was ok but lacked flavor/spices. The chicken vandloo was nice and spicy in flavor. For dessert we had the gulab jamun which was delicious but very small if you are sharing. This is a BYOB.

Good food overall but horrible service. I don’t want to go go over all the detail but every time we asked for something our server would come back and say they didn’t have it. Then just tell us what you have. They ran out of soda, didn’t bring our rice dishes we ended up taking it home, didn’t find the food spicy like other Indian restaurants I’ve been too. The server was to insistent on things and even said the mango lassi would be to heavy for my stomach and it wasn’t order even though I wanted it. Not my first time having a mango lassi with an Indian meal and never had a problem. Ordered a spicy Indian dish and the server put a face like that I didn’t understand I guess he thought I didn’t know what I was ordering. The place is nice a decent size for other Indian restaurants I’ve been too. I won’t be going back I prefer one in Montclair much better food and service.

I’ve been here twice and will return again. Their food is delicious(I’ve had shrimp both times) and their servers and very friendly and courteous. The place itself is very pretty with the chandeliers and they have Indian shows/music videos playing as you eat so it is a great experience for those who are not familiar with those things. I came here initially because I found a 10% off coupon on the back of my stop and shop receipt and I was definitely not disappointed. Also, I do not like spicy food and my best friend could eat a jalapeño raw, and we were both satisfied so they will accommodate you.

Some co-workers and I were in the mood for Indian food and came across Krishna Indian Cuisine on website. Their food pictures looked really good, so we decided to give it a try. As you enter this spacious dining area, very few people were eating. We chose a table and dinned off of the buffet which included: Rice Tandoori Chicken Schezwan Chicken Paneer Tikki Chicken Tikka Masala Gajar Ka Halwa Desert… etc. However, I have mixed feelings because I am use to Indian food being spicy. Maybe it’s just my taste buds liking spicy foods. I had a sample of everything on the buffet table, maybe an item or two had that spiciness I liked. I understand that everyone does not like their food to be spicy. This is why I have mixed feelings about this place. When ordering from the menu, you may have the choice of how spicy you want your food. The service was very minimal even with few patrons… including us. So to say, my experience here for the first has left me with a big question mark on returning for a second time.

I think I’ve found my new favorite spot for curry(lunch)! The lunch buffet will only set you back $ 10, and they offer a wide variety of food for that awesome price. There’s vegetable curry, chicken curry, chicken tikka masala, just to name a few, along with probably 5 or 6 other kinds. Naan is included. For dessert there is yummy rice pudding! The quality of the food was top notch all across the board, and needless to say I left stuffed. Service was great, friendly, and our server constantly topped off our water glasses even though there was a high volume of customers at the time. Plenty of parking is available in the back lot!

I’ve had a lot of bad Indian food in Essex County; I think this is the best place we’ve got. I’ve eaten here like 10 – 20 times, and never been disappointed. The food is deliiiicious. The buffet is pretty decent, and if there’s anything missing they’ll make it and bring it around for you. The dining room is cavernous, weird, and usually empty, although the service is good — I usually just go for takeout. (Cheap) municipal pay parking lot located behind the restaurant.

This place has the BEST chicken tikka masala I’ve ever had in my life(I’m sorry mom!). The chicken chunks are so big and the gravy is perfectly sweet and creamy. Do yourself a favor and get you some of this goodness as soon as possible!

Far from what I consider to be GREAT indian food, but for the location and distance from my husband’s home, it’s considerably okay. It’s the only place that has an indian lunch buffet(let alone, indian restaurant) within a 3 mile radius, other than Mausam Indian Curry N Bites in Clifton… which I would consider more of an express/takeout spot. The service is flat, and almost inattentive for a rather new restaurant in the area. The space almost resembles a banquet hall of some sort, and they TRIED to make it look nice, but it just doesn’t work too well for an ethnic restaurant.
