Pancho’s Burritos

We really enjoyed the food! We had to reheat it because of the extended delivery time, but on the coldest night of the year, it beat driving! The portions were very large. Next time, and there will definitely be one, we’ll order a chicken dish. The steak in the enchilada was tender and very well seasoned. Lots of rice and cheese on my fajita steak burrito too. We did ask for some changes and all were done perfectly! This is a recommendation to those who, like me, were concerned about Mexican food to go. This is the place to try.

I’d say this is a decent place if you want some quick Mexican food, especially if you end up with a flyer with coupons or come in for a lunch special. They are also very quick with the food even for a Friday night busy time. I got the quesadilla grandeur with is a large portion and very filling. It also included sour cream and guacamole without charging extra. Someone called me right up after making an online order to confirm everything, and cashier was very friendly.
Things I didn’t like: it’s take out or delivery only. It’s got no dine in option except for a few bar stools which I doubt get often used. Sometimes I like to eat in for a quick bite so this has that limit. Also didn’t like their online ordering system. You can’t really edit anything in your cart, you can just clear the whole thing. Which is annoying if you want to add something to an order and basically have to start over. I also didn’t like you can’t pick a pick up time. It takes me longer to drive there on my way home from work than it does to make the food so then it sits around ready for a bit. I prefer the option to pick a time rather than asap.
Overall it might be a 3.5 but it was quick, had good customer service, and had decent food. Not amazing food and probably not better than you can get in the general area, but I’m glad I tried it and I may stop by again.
Note: the container is a bit squished but that was me making a mistake with dropping and not how it came.

Pancho’s is OK. I had ordered a burrito as a bowl and my husband a burrito. Both were firmly meh. Everything just seemed oddly dry and bland which is so strange for mexican food and pork dishes at that. Not too motivated to try them again. They are open reasonably late (I think 10, if not 11) and deliver.

Good Mexican food, authentic taste and large portions. Very fair prices and prompt delivery

I’m actually not the biggest fan of Mexican food for some reason (I know, I’m insane), but this place really hit the spot and I know I’ll be going back.
I got the crispy chicken burrito and it was so flavorful. Portion sizes are good for the price, and they give you lots of salsa and sour cream on the side to apply as much or as little as you want. We also got the guacamole and chips appetizer, which came with quite a large tub of guac and a bunch of tortilla chips in a paper bag. Once again, good size portion for the price and the guacamole tasted fresh. Maybe I am a big fan of Mexican food after all? Or maybe I’m just a big fan of Pancho’s?

1 star for the rude delivery guy and for the joke that is «customer service». The food is delicious, but the delivery guy was completely obnoxious. In my most mocking voice «Oh you should of had the coupon ready, because I had this guy behind me and a cop… blah, blah, blah, blah, blah» Bro… calm down. We took all of two minutes, if not less, getting the stupid coupon and signing the receipt. Don’t you know how to double park and allow other cars to pass? Cops aren’t such a**holes that they’ll give you a hard time about pulling over to deliver food. What a rookie this guy was. He was smart enough to talk shit after I tipped him. When I called to complain, dude on the phone wasn’t even listening. «Yeah, I’ll talk to the guy». Sure you won’t. I don’t care how good the food is. If I ever order from here again, you can bet your ass no one is getting a tip.

Ordered delivery. It came very fast which was nice, but the food was horrible. I got tacos Dolores, one chicken and one beef. The chicken was palatable the beef was terrible. And the delivery driver, although he came quickly, he was rude as hell. He called from his car saying he was in the lobby when I was standing in the lobby waiting for him and then instead of being professional and giving me my order he wanted to argue with me. Not impressed.

Best Mex food I have had in a long time. Exceptional in my and my girlfriends opinion. They are 3 for 3 with us now. Coconut shrimp, tacos, burritos, all awesome and chicken, beef/​pork and especially the steak in all those things were great every time.

Update– I ordered the La Carne Asada Burrito two more times. The second time, there was no melted cheese over the burrito. I called and inquired whether or not there should be cheese as there was the first time. I was told that yes, there should be cheese. No apology, end of conversation. Ok, so I didn’t get any cheese. The third time, I confirmed that the burrito would have melted cheese. I was told yes. When I got my burrito, there was hardly any cheese on it. The burrito isn’t cheap and the melted cheese makes it worthwhile. However, due to the inconsistencies, I probably won’t order again anytime soon. I don’t want to have to wonder what I’m getting each time.
First review: Ordered the La Carne Asada Burrito (skirt steak) for delivery. Order arrived promptly. I am very impressed. The flavor is outstanding. I asked for the spicy chile de Arbol red sauce. The steak was nicely charred and had a good kick to it. I used the coupon in the mail. Without it, I think the prices are a bit high. Although the pork and chicken burritos are priced lower. Will order again.

My husband and I both ordered chicken and cheese quesadillas. They were the weirdest quesadillas — big chicken breasts instead of shredded chicken, a load of spinach, and skimpy amount of cheese. The chicken still had some fat on it which always grosses me out.
Anyway, the food wasn’t bad. It just wasn’t what we were expecting.

Burrito was really good. A bit pricey when you add in the thimble of guac for an extra $ 1, but the ingredients are quality and it’s a two-​meal deal.

Pancho’s left a whole bunch of menus in my apartment’s mail area, so I figured why not?
Ordered online a Chicken Bay Burrito, left to pick it up and it was ready by the time I got there less then 10 minutes later. Inside each of those menus was a $ 10 «gift certificate» so when I handed that to the counter person, I got a «OK you’re all set!» SWEET free lunch!
The food: LARGE burrito with sour cream and salsa on the side. A LOT of chicken inside with rice, beans and cheese. Very flavorful.
My only complaint — -the way they wrap the burrito, you really need to knife and fork it. Both ends are left open (see picture), so if you pick it up, everything will fall out the bottom!
I’m also glad to see that this business is engaged with customers on Unilocal.A lot of businesses these days don’t realize the importance or impact of their image through customer reviews.

I had a huge craving for tacos so I decided to give it another try since the response was very nice. I couldn’t be happier. It’s like a 360 from my last review. The shredded chicken California tostadas are AMAZING!!! I actually want to delete my last review because they have absolutely stepped up their game and the training of the employees! This location will def be as successful as your first if my next order is this delicious! Great Job Pancho’s! I’ll be back very soon!

My husband and I are Mexican foodies and we felt the food was okay. We have experienced better but met in the middle in terms of how we would rate our experience. His enchiladas were good. He wished there were 3 as opposed to 2 but he said they were good. I ordered the chicken mole burrito and while the burrito size was plenty (and then some) there wasn’t much mole about it. I think the coloring was from the black beans but I had zero mole sauce.
All in all, portion size was good. Taste was fair/​good. Comparison to other Mexican we’ve had was okay. On the fence if we would recommend or go back for round 2. It’s a maybe right now.

This is my second time ordering their «Lunch Crispy Taquitos». The delivery service is fast and the prices are decent for the portions you get.

Finalllllllly a good… no, GREAT Mexican joint in the area. I got a flyer at my home for Panchos and was intrigued. Friday night I decided to order delivery and I’m so glad I did.
I ordered the chicken & cheese quesadillas, the chicken bay burrito & the steak enchilada.
The salsa that comes w the quesadilla is AMAZING and has a little kick. Other than that it was your typical chicken & cheese quesadilla and that’s alright with me.
The burrito was stuffed with rice, beans, shredded chicken, cheese & sauce. The enchilada (w red sauce) came with a side of Spanish rice and lettuce/​tomatos and inside was beans & the most tender and well seasoned steak (I believe skirt steak) ever! The seasoned rice is spicy and super delicious.
It’s not the cheapest but the portions are huge! I can’t wait to order from here again.

Their marketing has paid off as I was craving Mexican since my meal the night before left me unsatisfied.
I opted for the Pancho’s Beef Bay burrito lunch special with black beans and black bean soup on the side.
Good sized burrito. Lots of beef on the inside. Well cooked (although I would like them to cut the strands of beef a bit shorter). LOTS of flavor. No wonder it’s the namesake burrito. Even with the sour cream and my own slices of avocado, the flavor still shone through.
As for why I decided to add my own slices of avocado? The portion of guacamole served was minuscule. About two tablespoons!. Granted it’s only 95 cents, but I’m definitely gonna pass in the future.
The black bean soup could have used a bit more flavor and texture too. It’s very bland and awfully liquidy.
Last qualm was the tortilla. It is VERY rubbery. I never even thought a tortilla could be so stretchy. Separating with a fork alone was impossible. A fork and knife was required. You can also try to hand hold it and bite, but I have a feeling you’ll be straining your neck trying to pull off parts of the burrito.
Despite all this, I’ll still give this place a 4. Like I said, huge portions and a lot of flavor. The service was good and the food came out quickly. However, next time I’ll opt for the soda instead of black bean soup and no guac.

I would give any place zero stars when food integrity is compromised.
I write this review after my second experience at Pancho’s. My first visit went seamlessly, I called ahead for a grilled chicken with smoked habanera mango salsa burrito. Was ready on time as they promised when I went to pick it up and was still nice and hot when I got it home to enjoy. This was your typical burrito with a generous serving of grilled chicken and a nice mix of sweet and hot salsa they serve on the side; exactly what I wanted.
For my second rodeo with Pancho’s I was really craving a burrito and my first instinct as usual is Chipotle, however, I didn’t feel like making the trip after a long day’s work and was beyond elated when I remembered Pancho’s delivers. So I placed a call after deciding to go with the grilled steak fajita burrito. The food was delivered on time and everything looked great. Unfortunately, I was interrupted mid meal by another ring of my bell. To my surprise it was the delivery guy again, he asked me what was in my bag. I responded a bit confused, umm the food I ordered. He continues with the interrogation, «no soda?» Again I tell him no, only thing in the bag is what I’m trying to eat now while he’s questioning me so he continues to stand in my doorway as if he’s ready to execute a search warrant while he places a phone call to «Alex» to continue with the back and forth on how I didn’t have soda in my bag. After finally getting the all clear, I continue back to my meal. First bite back into my burrito I was disappointed to bite into a fatty piece of steak yet continue to eat on. I take another bite and again more fatty steak, I chew on and on until I decide to pull the piece out of my mouth which is at this point spit ball like. I find this odd and pick at what I thought was fat and it starts to come apart layer after layer I realize I’m unwrapping what I believed to be soiled pieces of tissue. I can’t believe my eyes and am completely disgusted after I realize what I’ve eaten and see more of in the burrito.
I think at this point my only option is to take the trip to Pancho’s with tainted food in hand. I walked in enraged by my experience and demand a manager. I am shortly greeted by the manager Francisco, who I explain the current situation to. Despite the horrible encounter with my food I must say management here handled the situation with the utmost care. Francisco was sympathetic to my frustration, took responsibility, and promised to investigate after I expressed my concerns for the contaminants and other patrons potential to get sick. He immediately walked to the kitchen and spoke to the cooks while I was there. He apologized once again and offered a full refund along with a gift card. However, while trying to process the gift card he let me know they weren’t set-​up to give any out so he asked for my phone #, found me in their system (explains how they knew my name when I called the second time) and put in the notes that I will have that amount on credit to give them another try. The delivery driver was also there and even offered to return the tip I provided with a refund of the food but I refused since the delivery was on time with no fault of his other than the cooks’ inability to properly prepare food in accordance with sanitary standards.
A very unfortunate experience to say the least after my first. I write this a few days after the incident and can fortunately say I didn’t get sick. This would have been zero stars if possible however the management handling makes this a true one star. Will take the trip to Chipotle for my next burrito, where I can see everything that goes in it and can confidently say there’s no option to add dirty tissue there.

First time trying the nutley location today. I ordered a California shrimp salad. The salad overall was good although their could have been a couple more shrimps. Flavor was good. The price was average. I really enjoyed the 2 dressings that came with it (never got a salad like that before). The only bad thing is delivery took over an hour but I guess they get busy around lunch time. I will order again but next time for pick up.

Like a previous reviewer said, I found the chicken burritos to be really salty. Wings were so-​so and over priced. Parking is also inconvenient.
