I’ve been coming to petraccos a lot lately. They make some awesome sandwiches, but then again most places in Nutley do, so what makes them 5 stars? Their sandwiches are HUGE and priced well for what you get.
I was very surprised to see so few and mostly negative reviews for this place on Unilocal.I really can’t find one thing wrong with this deli. They have high quality cold cuts, use Zinnacola bread, and have a fees seats to eat at. PERFECT
To be honest, this deli is on the same level as Fiores in Hoboken with the exception that Petraccos uses better bread, and that’s a FACT.

Very nice big space with a ton of potential
Even this I think this deli makes plenty of money
It’s disgusting how the food is handle in here
Everything taste plain and looks like has been put together in hurry .
Couple of young punks run this shop and you can tell there no one around that gives a shit .
Waited half an hour on average the 4 times I’ve been here. The second time I found a dog hair in my egg .
I wish I could give them negatives stars

Been back recently and feel food level has dropped off a bit. Not as good as I remembered it being…
However, that’s not the reason for the big drop in stars. I was standing towards the back where you have a clear view of the kitchen, when I noticed the guy in the back using the same rag to clean all the surfaces (prep table, stove top, griddle) to dry off knives and other cooking utensils.
Cleanliness and proper training should be a top priority to any place that serves /​provides food to customers. Seeing this made me feel sick to my stomach.

Pretty average corner deli. I tried the grilled chicken, mozzarella, roasted red pepper and balsamic sandwich. It was HUGE. Came out to about $ 9. Have I had better, DEFINITELY — but I’ve also had worse. The mozzarella cheese is kinda like deli cheese and not the fresh thick style kind. This is one of those places that you don’t go out of your way for, but you wouldn’t avoid if you lived nearby.

Frequent this deli, pretty good sandwhiches and soups. My wife and like the place, very local and almost click-​based. It’s who you know kinda place. Don’t care much for that but their cold cuts are pretty damn good.
