Don’t Go, way over priced and he took my good cowboy boots that were GREY and polished them Brown. Charged me $ 45.00 for soles & Heels. Women was in front of me while I was picking up my boots, having the same service done to a pair of dress shoes and she was flipping out about the price also. I will Never walk into this place again. If you venture in, you better have a thick wallet…

I enter this little shop conveniently located on the corner of the busy crossroads of Centre and Franklin. It’s small, and a bit cluttered, but it doesn’t smell funny* and the hours here are really good. The nice middle-aged owner/employee comes out from the back room in response to the jingling of the bells hanging on the door. This(sadly) prevented me from being able to hit the counter-top bell that you see all the annoying people in the movies do. I had brought a pair of expensive men’s shoes w/worn down heels to the shop. I asked how much it would cost to fix the heels, and he quoted me the price of $ 25. **This seemed pretty reasonable and I asked if they took credit card. For the record they do not, which is understandable, although I had a few more pairs of shoes in dire need of repair that I have since brought over and had fixed, this required a trip to the ATM. Anyway, I conveniently saw a sign right at eye level(yes, I obviously missed it the first time) saying that they only take cash or check.** It costs $ 40 to put some rubber on the bottom of the front part of the shoe(to prevent slippage), and while it’s not an amazing deal, the work is good and the shoes are often done much more quickly than the quoted date. Like any repair shop, you are quoted a price upfront, after your item is examined, and then you pay in full(and in cash, in this case) and are given a tag w/PAID stamped on it. You are also asked for your phone number, and I’ve gotten calls several times now The work is good, but not amazing, but the owner is nice and seems to get a lot of business. — — — — — * Or any more funny than a place filled with leather and leather repair materials ** For the record, they also do not take checks(something about prior checks having bounced and yada yada yada…).
