At Home

So this place is where the old Kmart used to be in O’Fallon. I was personally reminiscing while walking around where different things were at while looking around.
The place looks very basic. Just some wall and exposed pipes with paint on them. Now don’t get me wrong. Sometimes that style is what is needed. In this case, it works. It helps in making the shopper focus more on the look of the item or selection over trying to maneuver around in the store.
This place has a little bit of everything as far as the décor is concerned. So that means there is always something to find. For instance, I saw three pieces of décor that I would like to get (if I knew what my housing situation was going to be like in a couple of years). However, because the selection is so vast and different they don’t have a lot of the same piece. So that means when you see it get it because it might not be around the next time you go.
I would have to say there were two negatives. I guess because we are in-​between seasons there are some empty shelves near the front. Also, the night I went only had one cashier and she wasn’t particularly fast. I think once they get more established and know what to expect on shopping trends that might fix itself.
