Took my motor to Button’s Machine Shop to be rebuilt. The owner Doug claimed to do all the work, but it was clear he didn’t boil the block properly and clean the internal lines. Had $ 3K tied up in the rebuild. The motor lasted exactly 28 miles. Yep a mere 28 miles before it locked up. When the pan was pulled there was so much gas in the oil it wasn’t funny. Ring issue?
Now just today while idling on the lot. A rod came through the side of the block in the same hole that Doug said he fixed. MY ADVICE… TAKE YOUR MOTORS ELSEWHERE. THIS PLACE SUCKS!!!

My brother work here from a previous front end accident in his truck and Button did a wonderful job, so when my Jeep was rear ended we told the insurance adjuster we wanted to go to them. He said they were excellent and supported going there, so felt good about leaving my Jeep in their hands. Great people, start to finish friendly and informative; let us know about additional work that was found after they took off bumper for replacement (didn’t think it was a hard hit but was just right to do some major damage). Jeep runs like before and will defintely go back if in need of other body work.
