Callahans Sports Bar and Grill

Good food and good service. Great neighborhood place. Pizza is awesome, so are the burgers. I have been here a few times and always have had a good experience. Would recommend.

Just last week I sang the praises of Callahan’s, but after tonight I won’t be going back. First we were told they had no pizza due to a fire, this sucked because the pizza really is good. The problem today was that the service was TERRIBLE! My beer sat empty more than it wasn’t. They only had one bartender who was supposed to handle 2 large groups, my party of 5, and people at the bar. Every time I’m there they have different servers, the turnover must be incredible! The bartender and kitchen staff were all drinking. There was a visibly intoxicated customer sleeping/​resting/​passed out on floor, then after he got up the bartender continued to serve him! After we had ordered and eaten the bartender decided to tell us that both the credit card machine and the ATM weren’t working. We were told that we could write down our credit card numbers and they would run the charge tomorrow. I don’t think so! 3 of us got in the car to go to QT to use the ATM because there was no way I was just going to write my credit card info down and leave it there, not in this day and age. This really is a shame because the food here is good, but I don’t think I will be going back to Callahan’s and I don’t expect they’ll last long as the place is usually empty.
