We used to love going here when they were in their old building, but since moving, the service has gone downhill. We ordered a pizza and a salad for pick up, we waited the 45 minutes they said it would take and then we waited an additional 30 minutes once we got there, the salad wasn’t even made, then when we got back home, the pizza was raw in the middle. It was awful, I called and complained and they acted as tho it was my fault the pizza wasn’t cooked. The girls that were«working», were on their cell phones the whole time, they didn’t greet people when they came in and they didn’t seem to want to help anyone, unless it was on their phones. We are sad that this placed we loved so much has went downhill. Unfortunately we won’t go back and we don’t recommend anyone going here either.

Arrived in St. Louis area late Sat. Evening and was looking for a place to eat. Saw a Unilocal ad for Schiappa’s. Got there 40 mins before closing but staff were very pleasant and friendly. Asked for recommendations, so we tried a pizza with ½ their special the other with their bbq ranch chicken and then 10 sweet spicy wings. Food was hot, fresh and tasty. The portions are large! A famished 19yr old and I couldn’t finish all the food.

Ordered buffet and wasn’t impressed. We had a big group and nothing on the buffet is labeled. Tried to order Coke Zero but they had Pepsi, ugh! Breadsticks were terrible. Pizza was not great but also not bad, however I was able to make a decent salad. I think the best taste I had was the ranch dressing. For $ 10.99 buffet, would much rather gone out for steak or burger. Serve yourself water and no instruction to do so? They ran out of plates and food! If they had food they ran out of plates or if they had plates they ran out of food. Staff yelled at my daughter and her teammates for trying to take a picture by front of store. Will not be back. Service and food were not worth the price.

First time here. We made a «to go» order. 14″ Margherita Pizza, 20 Wings and Stuffed Mushrooms $ 45 The honey BBQ were good but the sweet mild were just dripping with grease. Mushrooms are good but a bit too much cream cheese, in my opinion. That’s all you can taste. Now the pizza… TERRIBLE! I LOVE pizza and this has got to be the worst pizza I’ve ever had. The crust is so thin there is hardly anything to it! The edges were chewy and not edible. The worst part, it was drowning in olive oil! We ended up just throwing it away. I will not be back. There are tons of places in this area to get great wings, pizza and stuffed mushrooms. Schiappa’s is NOT one of them!

I come here specifically for the sweet hot wings — they are — by far — my favorite wings in the area. While not everyone’s favorite, they are mine. If you go during their buffet, you can get all you can eat sweet hot wings — worth the trip!

Tried the pizza/salad buffet. Place was pretty much empty and now I know why. The worst pizza I have ever experienced. The crust was soggy and looked like it had just come out of the dishwasher or toilet. Don’t waste your time here. There are much better pizza places out there. Papa Murphy’s Take N Bake is next door. Go there instead.

I really don’t understand why everyone in O’fallon loves this place. I must be missing something. The pizza is ok, but the service is not and the atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. It is fine for lunch or happy hour I guess, but not what I want out of dinner. Pizza Hut does it better and that’s not saying much. While I was there, there were 2 kids doing a competitive eating challenge. It was gross to watch and didn’t help my enjoyment of my food, but if that’s your thing I guess go for it.

I travel a lot, and it just so happens that it’s just steps away from hotel. The pizza was great, the salad bar had okay stuff for salads, you don’t have to cut your lettuce it’s done for you. The staff that I spoke with was cheerful and nice. This is not one of those fancy restaurants, but it’s good eats!

Steve S. My question to you is shouldn’t your food always fresh? The food we were served was obviously frozen and re-cooked. We would have talked to our server but he was all over the place and it wasn’t his fault, it’s your back of the house. And we did bring this up to a manager and he didn’t seem to care, in fact the manager was telling to try other items off the menu. So why would get anything else if from your restaurant if it Russian roulette on freshness.

We kept hearing about how great this place was after moving to the area so we tried their buffet. The experience was pretty good and everyone enjoyed their food. I personally thought it was GREAT pizza and pasta on the buffet. Unfortunately the pizza is a bit buttery and that didn’t agree with my daughter’s stomach. This is not the restaurant’s fault, but you should keep it in mind if you are sensitive. Overall I would recommend coming in to try this place and see if it suits your tastes like it did mine. Edit: I want to note Steve’s response below and updated my rating from 3 to 4 stars because of it AND the fact that nothing was wrong with our visit. I’m just going by the definitions Unilocal has posted with 3 being A-ok which this place definitely is to me. The follow-up has upped me to ‘Yay! I’m a fan’ so I adjusted the rating accordingly.

I’m just gonna put this out there, my favorite thing about this place is the breadsticks but everything is fantastic, even if you aren’t a big fan of pizza they have a lot of other options

Can only say OMG! Staying at the adjacent hotel and this is the only restaurant close by. Decided we’d try it since we didn’t feel like driving anywhere. So happy we did. Home made pasta. Fresh marinara. Did not try the pizza but saw a lot of locals coming for carryout. Went back on Sunday and thought we’d order pizza to go with the football game but went for the buffet instead. Here is the OMG! Wings to die for! Fried chicken. Extensive salad bar with a Caesar salad option. Pasta with Alfredo or marinara to put over it. Fresh hot veggies too and of course Pizza. Very well priced buffet(actually cheap considering the quality of the food) Adult beverages available if you want them. Will definitely be back if we are anywhere near St Louis! Worth going out of the way for this one!

Went there for the first time with hopeful expectations, as the one up in Lebanon was good. I was rather disappointed at the buffet. Some of the pasta was undercooked, another was in some kind of sauce that tasted like sweetened sour cream with some kind of fatty meat, and other things I tried did not have much flavor. The fried dough balls with sugar were so tough I couldn’t even bite into them. I asked a few other people in my group, and they mentioned the same things. One of my drinks also had something floating in it(EW), and I couldn’t find our waitress to get a fresh one in a timely manner. The only good things were the fresh pizza, and the tiramisu a friend of mine got.

I can’t even put a star in to rate this place! Went in for lunch with two friends. The place was crowded and dirty! I went up to the food buffet, reached for a new/clean plate and was surprised to have someone’s else’s left overs all over the plate and my hands! Disgusting! Saw the same problem on several stacks of the so called clean dishes! I can’t even start to guess what the kitchen looks like and how clean it is kept! Needless to say I will never patron this place again! Either will my friends! Disgusting!!!

We chose this restaurant for dinner because it was literally a few steps away from the hotel we were staying at. We had just come in from a 7 hour drive and really didn’t want to drive anymore. It’s atmosphere is basically no-frills but we had no complaints about the food. Many of the dishes are offered in smaller portions which is perfect for my appetite. They also had spaghetti carbonara which isn’t often found at Italian restaurants in smaller metro areas. Their specialty seemed to be pizza and they boast about have a 40 in pizza. So if you are really hungry and want pizza you might want to give this place a try.

If you want to know you have had homemade pizza, this is the place. Home of the«40 incher», you better bring a crowd to finish off this one! Excellent crust. Don’t know much about the rest of the menu, but the pies are fab!
