Not a good breakfast experience at all. Coffee was lukewarm, service slow, and food just so so. They didn’t seem very busy but somehow my table just seemed to fall through the cracks. I should have had toast and cereal at home…

Food CAN be fantastic. Prices are fair for the quality. SERVICE is horrendous!!! My wife and I have probably gone to this location more than 10 times since they opened a few years ago. Both dine in and carry out. I can only recall ONCE when service was acceptable. We have spoken to the G.M. LaDonna. Shes a likeable person but continues to make excuses for the poor service at her location. This morning we had a ton of work plans. My wife says, why don’t you go up and get Egg & I. After driving about 10 min each way, I get home with EVERYONES meal but hers. They charged me for it. Just didn’t complete the order. We have had MANY service issues when dining at this location. Other around us as well. Shes so busy putting out fires with the customers that she cannot supervise her staff. There comes a time when 1 must ask, is the problem the staff ORHER? Clearly cannot lead. Poor poor management. Dine at your own risk!!!

Quick, friendly service. Restaurant is spacious and clean. Food is very good. The apple cinnamon pancake is one of the best pancakes I’ve had.

About as average as it gets in terms of food and service. I went with my mom. I ordered the french toast that came with eggs and sausage. She ordered the Egg-Ceptional omelet which included a bunch of meat and veggies pretty evenly distributed throughout. The french toast was made with sourdough which was a different twist but ultimately the two slices was kind of underwhelming. The eggs were scrambled with cheddar and the sausage were in patty form. They were exactly as expected. The service was pretty good, not over-the-top good but serviceable for sure. Honestly before eating there I had no idea it was a chain but it definitely had that feel. If you were in the mood for breakfast food around the St. Charles or O’Fallon area I’d recommend Ginghams. The Egg and I was good for what it is, just nothing to write home about.

Absolutely horrible service! Can’t rate the food because we never received after waiting 35 minutes. Our server brought our coffee and kids drinks and then ignored us. I got up to ask for napkins and silverware from another server. I finally stopped another server to ask about our food. Our server walked past us repeatedly but never communicated a thing. Too bad! Looked like a nice place that we will never return to!

I was not that impressed with the food, not very special and a little bland. A bit pricey; we could’ve gone to original pancake house for the same amount but would have been leaving stuffed and satisfied. It felt like a knock off of first watch.

Great place, lots of healthy choices and food tastes great. This place is one of my favorite breakfast spots, it’s a little ways out of my way from home but I need to start going here more. I got the Mediterranean Frittata which is made with only egg whites and had grilled chicken, roasted tomatoes, Mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Their hot sauce they give you is AMAZING. I got a side of potatoes which were cooked to perfection and toasted bread. Writing this review is making my mouth water!!! That is how good this place was.

1) GPS kept closing while attempting to find this venue. The location is a bit secluded(down a hill & hidden from view from Hwy. K), therefore was challenging to find exact location. 2) Friend & I sat waiting to be greeted by server at the table for much too long while only 4 other tables were present. Waited patiently for several minutes to get our initial coffee we requested. Waited again for an omelet, ranch potatoes, & english muffin for another 17+ minutes while TWO servers/employees sat down at noon in front of waiting, hungry, paying customers to eat their employee meal on clock as they were checking out their cc tabs & final rings for their day! Kidding me??! As a past industry worker, this alone is bad business. Our server had zero pep in her step & it reflected in her tip. I appreciate servers & workers that hustle & deliver the same customer service they’d like for themselves & their family. 3) Once we finally got our meals, the English muffins weren’t ready at the same time so we waited for those longer. We eventually got them and enjoyed them as our«second course.» Portion sizing is a bit small for a breakfast, but ingredients seemed fresh enough. My omelet had mushrooms, bacon, & cheese in it which was extremely bland for the cost of each dish. Wow me for a two person meal for $ 30. – Overall, having experienced almost nothing positive here, I believe this establishment lacks the necessary qualities a restaurant must obtain to succeed daily. Actual location is difficult, workers are unmotivated & poor, food was bland & not enough of it, timely delivery is nonexistent, & it’s all overpriced. Unimpressed & will only consider returning if whoever is in charge sees this review & takes action to correct these above negative points. I encourage they do.

Excellent breakfast experience! I live in California and I’ll be craving this when I’m back home. Loved the coffee selection, the menu diversity and the great service. If you’re in the mood for a big delicious breakfast this is a great spot.

Working in Wentzville, but staying in O’Fallon. Egg and I was a great find for breakfast. We had Cracker Barrel and a some what dirty IHOP for breakfast. Egg and I was a breath of fresh air! Great menu, great food, great service, great cleanliness, at a great price! I’m eating here for the remainder of my stay! You will not be disappointed!

Eaten here a few times. Always very good. Not much else to say. It must be good it is the only place I ever took a pic of the food. Cmon, that is a good pic. Most food pics look like a bag of smashed a$$holes that were stomped out with a golf shoe. Not this one. Simple. Clear. To the point. :)

Uh… It’s a $ 11.00 breakfast. Overpriced, average food. For the cost, I expect more: warm syrup, hot coffee, presentation… nope. Love local businesses and want them to succeed but there has to be a reason they succeed other than a gimmicky giant pancake.

The food was good and I saw several things on the menu I would like to try. Service was not that great though. I ordered a hot tea for $ 2.39 and they only gave me one tea bag. And when I asked for another one it was like I was the one with a problem. They gave me a carafe of hot water. Why wouldn’t I get tea bags to go with it.

I have been here several times in the past and the experience wasn’t great, the manager wasn’t helpful not helping anyone, food was cold and wait staff inexperienced. I marked that up as new restaurant hiccups. I ate breakfast today and everything was wonderful. From the delightful greeting at the door by Julie who engaged in conversation and didn’t speed us to the table as I had by grandmother with me. Every restaurant should have someone upfront as the first person you meet like her. My server was Debbie who was tentative and knowledgable. The carafe of soda is another bonus. I hate waiting on refills from a busy waiter or waitress. The food was eggexceptional(sorry for the play on words) I heard Julie answer the phone. welcome to the egg and I have an eggexceptional day! which should be mandatory. it’s something I will not soon forget. We ordered omelets that were extremely filling along with the perfectly cooked ranch potatoes. 10x’s better then my first couple visits. one last thing, the restaurant seemed to run as one unit. I saw Julie, not only greet folks, answer the phone, cash folks out, go around and ask everyone how there meal was or if she could get them anything and help the busser clear tables. I was so impressed I ask her if she was the manager when she cashed us out. Julie said no I’m the hostess… I never saw the manager that is why I asked her name. Every restaurant would benefit with an employee like her. I will be back because of her and the eggexceptional food. The Egg and I has just became my favorite breakfast restaurant. I look forward to my next visit. I think I will try lunch next.

My wife and I tried this place and both agreed it was decent and that we would be back soon. On our visit the staff was efficient and friendly, the food was good and hot(it did take a little too long to get the food, but the place was almost full). The menu is diverse and it looks to have some unique items, but maybe a bit on the pricey side.
