Been eating here for 3 years since I moves to the area. Can never go wrong with their chicken dumplings. Never fails to impress! Service could be better and faster.

This location is right around the corner from my place of work, so I visit during the lunch rush. They always do a great job getting you seated and food out quickly. Food has always been hot and fresh. This is a great place to visit, especially when I need to get some vegetables in my system. I’m very partial to their green beans. As far a lunch entrée, I typically go for the cod fillet, but have also had the pleasure of having their Oven Fried Chicken Breast, oh and of course their Breakfast!

Very disappointed in this location. I usually can count on CB for a decent meal or takeout, quickly served, with quality. Not so here. Despite the dearth of employees(three hostesses, two managers, three checkout clerks, and plenty of waitstaff), my to-go order took more than fifty minutes to be completed, and when I got it, the food was cold. Throughout my wait, I was assured that it was«almost done,» and at one point the hostess said that they were waiting on corn muffins, at which point, I said, toss a biscuit in there and call it done. I had been on my feet all day, and standing on my feet for 50 minutes waiting for food was just ridiculous. People came and went while I stood there. Waiting. When I finally got my food, I was not offered an apology, or discount, or anything. I paid and left, and will NOT be going back to this location, ever, despite traveling to that area often for work. I even took the time to register a complaint through the website that, as of this review, has not been responded to(it’s been 6 days).

Cracker Barrel has been a popular choice for our family on a variety of events. This time, my birthday! We were seated very quickly despite it being a Friday evening. They were more than happy to accommodate a seating arrangement for our larger group(pushing two tables together). It was our waitress’s first dinner shift(poor dear), but she powered through. Yes, mistakes were made, but everyone did everything to make those mistakes right! Other than a forgotten side, I have no real complaints! The food was delicious, as always. The cornbread was amazing and fresh. The staff made excellent meal recommendations and everyone was immensely friendly! My family and I will no doubt continue to visit this location.

I have heard about Cracker Barrel through many friends and I was always so bummed that we don’t have one in Southern California. So, when my boyfriend and I were driving through O’Fallon, MO to visit family and I spotted one, I immediately said we had to go there for lunch! We stopped in around 4pm for an early dinner and were seated immediately. The hostess didn’t seem too happy but it was fine. I was so excited to see all these dishes I had heard so much about and decided on Chicken Fried Steak with Cheese Grits, Sweet Potato and Green Beans on the side. I couldn’t believe how affordable everything was for the amount of food we were getting! My boyfriend ordered Chicken and Dumplings with Mac N Cheese and Green Beans. Both dishes came with biscuits which were amazing; you didn’t even need to put butter on them! The portions were generous but not too huge where we couldn’t finish everything. It was everything I thought it would be… except for the grits– they definitely weren’t my cup of tea. Aside from the food, each table had small games on it that were really cute and of course, I had to stop in the shop which had lots of cute knick knacks and candy. My first comfort country meal as a whole was a positive one aside from sub-par service!

This enormous chain of restaurants serves southern-style food. The large portion meals are truly large, with biscuits added in case you’re not full yet. Like all Cracker Barrels, you have to walk through the store area before you get to the restaurant. This is obviously deliberate, and has probably been a reason for this chain’s success. While the store has some neat products, it’s annoying when, every time you come, your kids run off into the store and you have to corral them, then fight off requests for a toy while you eat. Nevertheless, we keep coming back, so the chain has a good formula for success. There are also no other restaurants quite like this; at least not in the Midwest. The consistency of the portions and taste of the food has kept me visiting Cracker Barrel for years.

We have been to this location several times over the past two years. They must have a lot of waitress turnover as I have never seen the same waitress twice. Many new faces tonight with 1 or 2 stars on their apron. The service is good, but the cost of doing business has obviously hurt Cracker Barrel as the food quality is not as good and the prices are rising. I had a grilled chicken salad tonight. The chicken and crotons were great. The lettuce was wilted… something CB would have never let happen in the past. The shopping in their lobby was fortunately better than the food. I bought a MIZZOU100% cotton t-shirt for $ 11.65. That was a good deal. If you are watching your weight it is not easy to find a number of good choices here. Cracker Barrel in my opinion has slipped a few notches over the past 2 – 3 years. Maybe my tastes have changed, but still the prices continue to rise sort of like health insurance under Obama.

This is one of the best Cracker Barrells! Their food is always good and great service. I try to get the grandmas breakfast. The value for the money is great. Other breakfast places in the Chesterfield Valley are good, but extremely expensive. Well worth the extra few miles over the bridge.

Slooooooooooow service. Waited for 20 min for the server to just come take order for drinks and that was after we had to chase after her. Granted it was Saturday and busy but a table seated after us had service literally a moment after they sat down. Luckily this isn’t the one closest to my abode!

I have always been a fan of Cracker Barrel so obviously I like it or I wouldn’t have chosen to eat there last weekend. My fiancé and I went to the Ofallon location which neither of us had been to before. Our waitress Jenn was super friendly and checked on us frequently(which sometimes annoys me but it was fine). You wouldn’t think this type of restaurant would offer many gluten free options but they actually had quite a few items on the menu that my fiancé could eat which was nice. Our food came out very fast which normally I would appreciate but for a «home cooked meal» this surprised me. The food seemed like it had been sitting out for a while and we were there at 5pm so I really expected to be fresh. My dumplins weren’t hot but slightly warm which was disappointing. My chicken fried steak was delicious and the fried okra is always amazing but the hash brown casserole was not hot and slightly dry as if it had been sitting out for a while. Something else that I noticed is that their portions don’t seem as big as they used to. Don’t get me wrong, with a chunk of meat, three sides and corn bread, it was still plenty of food for me but I remember going to Cracker Barrel and not being able to see my plate and this time my sides didn’t even touch. I was just hoping to have leftovers and for the prices staying the same, I expected to make two meals out of it, but no big deal. Lastly, I noticed that the restaurant at 5pm was not busy at all. Maybe a quarter of the tables were being used and yet our hostess sat us right next to a table of five. Perhaps they do that because servers have specific tables, but as a customer, if there are several available tables, I prefer to be spaced out to have a little privacy. I will probably eat here again, I may just order something different this time, or go at a different time.

I walked out of this Cracker Barrel which is a first for me. The waitress forgot our drinks and after 20 minutes brought us water. After waiting 45 minutes for a very simple order I walked out. The place was maybe 25 percent filled. I like Cracker Barrel but I have crossed this one off my list.

Biscuit n Grits. These things don’t sound as appetising as they actually are. They form part of a large but tasty breakfast, with help from pancakes and okra(My favourite food discovery of 2013). I’m not a huge pancake person but these are pretty good, even when hungover! I really like the shop that you go through to get to the dining area. There’s a lot of interesting stuff I’d probably end up buying If I had the money to spare

We were a party of 7& got sat within 3 feet of the hostess stand while another whole section was open. The waitress even stated we will have to pass the drinks down since she could not get around the table. Total thumbs down on the initial impression

We visit here often on Monday mornings after our sales meeting. I really never look at the menu because I get the exact same thing every time. I get the Wholesome Morning Sampler that has a yogurt parfait, eggs, sausage and muffin. The parfait is really good with granola and almonds. I like my eggs over medium and sometimes they miss the mark and they are too runny. But the turkey sausage is good and the muffin is just enough food to get me through the day. Service is consistent and friendly. This isn’t some place that I crave to go, it has just turned in to a default meeting place and my meal tastes good each time.

As usual there is a wait not long and the hostess did quote a good time. We were sat quickly and the server arrived promptly but that’s about all the positives of this outing. We ordered our food and it took much longer then expected considering the dining room was about 60%. My coffee cup spent more time empty then full and that’s not because I was drinking it quickly! There were about 4 – 6 servers standing at the kitchen doorway doing nothing. They should have grabbed some coffee pots and walked the dining room and did refills instead of standing around. Our meal was just mediocre as expected but our server just wasn’t on, she seemed to be in the weeds/overwhelmed with her 4 table section. The busser was not doing a good job either. We were sat at a sticky table and I have to admit that is one of my many pet peeves when going to a restaurant. I understand the history of the store but maybe they need to modify the concept and maybe build the store separately form the restaurant. It takes away from the eating experience which I guess after eating there a few times its not a bad idea. The food is really in need of review I ordered scrambled eggs I was served an egg patty it actually looked like it was cooked in a mold of some type. Not much more can be said, Cracker Barrel is a brand that will be around for a long time, but before you lose your luster rework the shine!

Food is decent quality for a chain place, good American comfort food. Service at this location is consistently good — management walks around talking to customers, its obvious they care. I always enjoy looking in their store, they have many interesting and unique items you can’t find elsewhere. For about $ 12 including drink, I had a great meal the other night of Chicken & Dumplings with three side dishes, and corn muffins. Was all served to me in less then 5 minutes after I ordered. Arrived hot and tasty. I like the Cranberry Apple Ice Tea they have available right now as a seasonable item. Breakfast here is generally a tier above someplace like Denny’s or the Waffle House for about the same money.

Growing up I thought Cracker Barrel was only for Road trips. We didn’t have any in my old hometown. When I moved to Missouri they were everywhere, and I couldn’t have been more excited. This particular location has been our go to breakfast spot for years. Sunday mornings are always busy, but we enjoy shopping while we wait. The service can be hit and miss depending on the server. The most recent visits have been fairly pleasant. The food seems pretty consistent. I order my eggs over medium and they are perfect nearly every time. They have great pancakes and the apple butter is always spectacular. I absolutely love that this location is smoke-free. It makes the wait times shorter and the whole environment feels cleaner. The Sunrise Sampler is my husband’s go to. I try to stick to something a little lighter, so I got the Old Timer Breakfast with Turkey Sausage. Everything was great! We will certainly keep coming back.

I’ve been a regular at this store now for seven years and I’m sick and tired of ordering their Chicken BLT sandwich on carry-out and ALWAYS having to check it at the counter. Why? you might ask… because the cooks, waitstaff as well as the MANAGERS don’t seem to know what the ‘B’ in BLT stands for. I’ve had the waitstaff, the MANAGERS both argue with me and tell me that that sandwich doesn’t come with bacon. REALLY??? Your MENU says it does! Your MENU has said it does since it was called the Ruby’s Dressed Up Chicken Sandwich waaaaay back twelve years ago!!! Help me out on this one corporate! I figure this is the most appropriate place to write this review as the cooks there cannot read this as I believe they are illiterate and the managers nor do the waitstaff even know their own menus(which by the way when I was a GM of a restaurant I HADTOKNOW!!!) Why am I writing this now? Because after a long day at work fighting the icy roads I get to Cracker Barrel only to wait around on my break from work second shift, while they once AGAIN cook up a separate order of bacon for me to wait on because THEYDON’T KNOWTHEIROWNMENUS!!! So here it goes… Pete’s Cracker Barrel primer on how to make the Chicken BLT sandwich. The letter«B» starts with a buh, buh sound. Picture Grover from that famous street on that children’s show — you know the one, his blue color starts with the letter«B». Does the buh«B» in BLT stand for Banana cooks? All the cooks shake their heads and say«nooooooo!» That’s right Cracker Barrel cooks it stands for??? «Bicycles!» Nope! Sorry! It doesn’t stand for bicycles… anyone else? Show of hands please? «Does it stand for Baboons?» No, again I’m sorry… it doesn’t stand for baboons but bananas and baboons both start with the letter«B»! So gooooood job! Maybe this is too hard, does anyone know what the«L» in a cracker barrel sandwich starts with? «Is it Lazy?» Well that’s partly right lady that works the country store floor with a walkie talkie that gets no one from the back to ring me up while I’m on my lunch break picking up a sandwich. Let’s try the letter«T» — who can tell me what the«T» in the Cracker Barrel Chicken BLT sandwich stands for? «ummmm, THROWN togther?» Well that’s party true because when I get my sandwiches the cheese and lettuce are usually half-way on the bread and the chicken oftentimes is nowhere near halfway on the bread. You all are doing better. Grover — let’s tell the folks at Cracker Barrel what the«B» the buh buh buh«BEEEEEEE» in BLT stands for! «B» stand for B-A-C-O-N!!! Yaaaaaaaaaaay!!! Now let’s review. Bread, chicken, colby jack cheese, BACON, there it is!, lettuce, tomato, and bread! Who’s a smart lil’ cook at Cracker Barrel now? Who’s a smart lil’ cook at Cracker Barrel — it’s you! Yes it is! YES it IS! Who’s gonna’ remember da bacon next time, who’s a big strong cracker barrel cook that’s gonna’ remember da bacon. Yes you will! Yes you will! You’re such a biiiiiiiiig boy! Hey manager — try managing for once! Your restrooms are filthy at this location, and your cooks/waitstaff/and selves don’t know your own menu! How do I know? I order four of them a month for seven years and you have a 45% grade for getting them right! How do I know that? Because I keep track! Hey but if I ever need a tacky sweater only a 77 year old grandmother of 11 grandchildren, owner of 14 cats, complete with rhinestone studs and a stone maltese dog statue that is also a bell and fountain I’ll be in your country store faster than bacon on a Cracker Barrel Chicken BLT sandwich!!!

Not sure what the last guy was complaining about — because of him we drove 20 minutes out of our way to find good breakfast. The next day we decided to save time and just go there because breakfast from the day before really wasn’t that great and definitely not worth the 20 minute drive. So we roll the dice and try Cracker Barrel in O Fallen despite the bad first review. WOW — on a sunday morning it was pretty busy. We waited 20 minutes to be seated, ordered and WOW — really good food! So my suggestion is go and eat there for breakfast — I can’t speak wisely of their non-breakfast fare but the eggs are good! The service was very nice too,
