Valvoline Instant Oil Change

DO NOT GET AN OIL CHANGE HERE
I regularly took my car here since it was pretty close to where I worked.
Just to compare pricing and service I went to Jiffy Lube also located on highway K. I found the serivce to be pretty much the same so I figured I would go back to this Valvoline. MISTAKE!
I went in to get an oil change and after some time. One of the service men told me that my oil plug was stripped and it was Jiffy Lube’s fault so I should go to them about it.
I immediately go to Jiffy Lube. I tell them the situation and they say that I am the 4^th person to come from Valvoline with this issue. We look at the oil and it is full and clean in my car. Also the warranty sticker from my plug was removed. HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN? Someone added oil. That’s how. I didn’t add anything for over a month. Jiffy Lube says they can’t do anything at that point but they would be interested in sorting this matter out with Valvoline over the phone.
I go back to Valvoline and they seem very unhappy to see me. I ask them how there is clean oil in my car if they did not do anything. The Valvoline manager basically tells me someone else did it. I say that is impossible and he just stares at me. Whatever happened there that wasn’t my biggest issue.
We asked the Valvoline manager to get on the phone with the Jiffy Lube manager to sort this out since all I want is someone to be accountable for my car. The Valvoline manager says he CAN’T do that. WHAT?! You tell me another company damaged my car but then refused to do anything to communicate that with the other company.
We called BS on this and after some coercing he finally agreed.
I can’t prove which company damaged my car but I can tell you that least Jiffy Lube tried to work it out and get to the bottom of it while Valvoline was resistant and frankly rude. That does a lot to help me figure out who really damaged the car.
Jiffy Lube is helping me out now and I appreciate that. I wish I didn’t have to go through all this garbage to get an oil change.
Also I’m convinced Valvoline damaged the car. Regardless of the outcome of this. Go anywhere but this place.

Service is always good I just can’t stand the upsell tactics.
