Horrible customer service. I got a vest for xmas from gap. I had one very similar so went in to return. Both times I went in January the line in the store was ridiculous. I had a gift receipt, so I found out the value ($ 35) and decided to come back. I just went this past weekend Feb 22. I was told the return value was now current price ($ 17) because it was more than 60 days after purchase (Dec 9). I told her that it was xmas present, so I had gotten the item less than 60 days ago-​she didn’t care. I told her the reason I hadn’t returned sooner was because the lines in the store were ridiculously long on 2 previous attempts-​she didn’t care. This was store manager helping me-​so no hope of appeal. I told her I thought the policy was terrible-​no reply. Horrible customer service!

Upstairs and across from the GAP store is Gap Kids and Baby. Park by Nordstrom. Not sure why the women’s maternity section is mixed in with the Gap Kids section, but it is. As a newly pregnant mama that no longer can wear all of my cute fitted Banana Republic tops, it was time to find some fashionable maternity wear. But where??!
I have been a Gap shopper for years and had no clue that Gap had a maternity line because I never saw it in their store. After much confusion, I was directed upstairs to the Gap kids store. Truthfully this actually does make sense now that I know where to find it because I can shop Baby Gap and maternity at the same time.
Not a huge selection of maternity, but you will find all of the basics. Great to be able to go in and try on the jeans! Your regular size in Gap clothes also works for maternity! Size small in Gap tops, size small in Gap maternity… With this being said, it is not always easy to figure out how to dress a constantly growing baby bump and I have really appreciated being able to try on items rather than ordering online! Very glad Oakbrook has Gap maternity! So far I really like the Gap jeans, corduroys and work pants. Also got a cute sweater dress and a cowl neck sweatshirt type casual tunic topic. The Gap maternity body wear (t-​shirts and long sleeve tees) are also great! Kind of liking the full panel Gap pants versus the half panel. Another bonus, none of the pants look «maternity»! I got compliments on my cute jeans.

Clean store. They need to clear the area by the registers. They have things crammed so close that you barely have room between the register counter and an accessories rack.

I love Gap. This store is larger and carries more items that aren’t at smaller stores. They have a nice clean sale area with great deals too. The staff isn’t friendly but I’ll overlook it because I love Gap clothing.

Thankfully I didn’t have a stroller with me because there would not have been room for all of us. I visited this store with my munchkin and the clerks could not get enough of her. I couldn’t determine if that was part of their sales pitch or if they were just being nice. Either way, the staff was friendly and I’m sure I’ll be back.
Don’t forget about card holder Tuesdays! It’s worth going for the discount.

I love gap baby. This store is okay, it has a lot of the cute outfits that they show online. It’s not very stroller friendly and the staff is so so, I have had better customer service at other stores. I do like how the staff isn’t overbearing and annoying though, they just leave you alone to do your shopping. I prefer the really big baby gap at Deer Park though. Stroller maneuverability from 1 – 10 I give it a 5.
