Come visit these ladies! The reviews on here are so old! All the ladies were super helpful from the welcome at the door to the woman in the dressing room checking to make sure I had the sizes I needed. Jennifer who rang us up was helpful as well considering she probably worked all day. Store is clean and has new items which I love. Parking is ample depending on the season of the year.

I had a very pleasant shopping experience at this location. I don’t buy a lot of LB clothing anymore, but I’ve purchased jeans recently and today I really needed some boots. Wide calf boots are really hard to come by, and LB’s boots are true blue, wide calf, not like the lies that other wannabe wide calf boots try to sell me! They had several styles, but the color and size I needed wasn’t in stock. An employee promptly checked the back and then called another store for me and had my boots placed on hold. No one was breathing down my neck here while I shopped, but they didn’t forget about me either. That’s the perfect balance for me. It was definitely very warm inside the store, but I am guessing that is something they don’t have much control over.

I used to be totally on board with the Lane Bryant train. I had the credit card, I shopped there regularly, pimped it out to the plus size community and even spent a summer working there part-time… then they changed completely. They changed the size and layout of the store — now it feels crowded and confusing in it’s design. The store is always mysteriously hot as well, to the point that when I was there last time in the middle of July, one of the workers told me «I don’t know why it’s like a sauna up in here». The clothes seemed like they were so cute and trendy these past few years and almost worth the $$ that they charge you and then suddenly, they weren’t. I have no clue why every short-sleeve shirt they offer has to have that cap sleeve thing going on that I hate — whoever thought it would be a good idea to cut off the arm at the absolute fattest part was a burger short of a Happy Meal that day. I’m also horrified by the sheer amount of horizontal stripes they’re selling these days — look, we’re obviously not a size 6 if we’re shopping at this store, why would anyone think we needed to appear even wider than we already are? My last gripe is regarding their bras and sleepwear. Every time I go to this location, they’re sold out of my bra size. They will have C cups and DDD cups for days but God forbid you need a DD in anything with under-wire. Sure, they tell me, they have«wire-free options» — what kind of support is that? I might as well save my pennies and just use some kitchen twine to support the girls! As for the sleepwear, they will, at best, have one nightgown and one piece of lingerie at any given time. The store used to sell a large array of sleepwear including nighties, robes and negligees — now it’s one oversized sleep shirt and leopard print bustier(but, of course, never in my size!). The one redeeming quality is their jeans are still amazing and fit like no other.

I used to work at this location and have not for the past couple years. I know the inner workings and was very disappointed today when I went in. I had purchased over $ 300 worth of merchandise 2 days ago– went in on a whim. Had to have 3 of the 4 dresses sent to me via LB2ME with eta of tomorrow. I went home and was showing my husband the items I bought on the website since they were shipping to me. This is when I noticed that all 4 items would qualify for BOGO the next day! So today, 2 days later, I went into the store, wearing the 1 dress I was able to take home with me the day of my purchase, and my receipt, and bag with the nail polish I purchased to get that one more RWD. I explained to the manager that I would like a price adjustment. She very rudely said«We cannot do that. You do not have your items you purchased.» She then suggested that we buy everything again and then return it when it arrived in order to get the new sale pricing. I told her that to my knowledge, you can get a price adjustment without lugging everything in. She shook her head and said no. The sale price is not applicable on previous purchases. I am expecting my UPS delivery tomorrow, where I plan on going in(she’s working again, I asked) and returning it all then repurchasing it.(also getting double RWD) and then have her read outloud the back of the receipt which I read when I got home(darn it!) that says you can do what I told her you can do within 14 days with a receipt. I know the stores have goal sales to meet, but from now on, I will be purchasing online only and if I have to do a return, I”m taking it to the store so they suffer a negative sale. VERY unfriendly staff today, and if I should ever break my new rule of buying online only, I will call ahead to see who’s working so I have an enjoyable shopping experience. As a manager, she really needs to know the policies. I have visited this location about 4 times in the last year and a half, and only 1 time was treated the way I was trained to treat customers back when I worked there. Shape up Oakbrook!

I’ve been shopping at this location for a long time now and it is by and far better than the others staffwise, selection wise and location wise. That being said I’m still mad they got rid of the other half of the store, I liked how cacique and lb were in different sections before. THe staff attitude is very different from day to day but mostly very helpful. There is one associate who hounds you from the time you get in the store to the time you leave about getting the credit card, I didn’t see her on the last 2 trips in so maybe she’s gone, but her following me around the store always made me feel watched and slightly unwelcome. Everyone else has always been super nice.

I left this store after having about 5 – 6 items in my hand and paring it down to the one I could not do without because of the staff. Its no wonder they do not wear name tags… they don’t want you to know who they are. I asked an associate for the pair of pants on display and she pointed to a corner of the store and said over there. It did not get better. I have the credit card here and I WILLNEVERSHOP there again. Never write reviews, but have to warn about this place.

I would rate this place 2.5 I couldn’t agree with you girls more… I was sad to see this store be cut in half awhile ago because they were always packed. Honestly most of the time it is about the staff attitude when you shop at a place. I have had great help from someone who worked at this location but the last time I was here was not that great. I had something shipped to the store and received my confirmation 2 days before I went in. When I did finally go in the stuff was not even ready. It took me 10min for her to find my stuff in the back, take it out of the box and bag it, log it, and have me sign for it. When I went to the location in Geneva the stuff was bagged and ready to go with my paperwork stapled to the bag. Oh and did I mention I did receive a smile and«Have a great day» from the Geneva staff. If you need to just run in and get something quick do it for the merchandise.

The selection at this location is not great. The employees give off a bad vibe, I don’t know why. I work across the street from the mall so I go here whenever I forget why I don’t like coming to this location. Other customers always seem happy and satisfied so maybe it’s just me. The location on Lake Street in Oak Park has a much friendlier staff, and the location in the North Riverside Mall is friendly, attentive, helpful, and they have a great selection.

I walked in here for the first time in over a year since, despite my endulgent over-eating(for the benefit of Unilocal review writing of course), I have lost weight and needed a smaller size in jeans. I was immediately asked by an employee if she could help me find what I was looking for. Yes, I replied, you can help me find the rest of your store. It’s been cut in half. Seriously. It’s HALF the size of what it used to be. And no bargains to be had ATALL. Is nothing sacred???
