Master Lock Lock & Load

The Master Lock Lock & Load is a dual-​purpose item 1) it’s a U-​Lock without the security deficiencies of a Kryptonite U-​Lock and 2) it’s a Bicycle Carrier Rack… seatpost attached.
I received this as a present from my youngest kids just about a month ago and have been riding with it since then.
The Lock & Load attaches to your Bicycle via the Seat Post. Seat Post sizes are restricted to those from 25 mm to 31 mm in diameter. It is secured by an internal compression plate adjusted by two Hex Head Screws using Hex Wrenches. Make sure you have at least a clearance of 2″ between the bottom of the Seat and the top of the Bicycle Frame — the L&L is encased in a Fiberglass Body which is about 2″ high. BTW, it is a pain to adjust those screws! I guess, if it’s this hard to attach this thing… it’ll be twice the pain for a thief…
Pros:
— Dual Purpose — Bicycle Carrier Rack and a U-​Lock

— U-​Lock made of Hardened Steel with Plasticized Coating.
— 7 Pin Tubular Cylinder Lock — Pick Resistant cliam by Master Lock.
— $ 1000 Unconditional Lifetime Guarantee.
— It’s not a Kryptonite U-​Lock, which has the reputation of being able to be picked by the blunt end of a Bic Pen.
Cons:
— This SOB is HEAVY! About Six Pounds… I didn’t want to take off the L&L just to weigh it, because it was so hard to put on.
— Only extends 12″ from the Fiberglass Body. I guess, a little storage is better than none at all.
— You’ll need to purchase at least two more Bungee Cords. The single Bungee Cord you get, permanently attached to the Body of the Lock is impractical, at best.
Suggestions to Master Lock Co…
— For those, like me, that relied on a Seat Bag for storage… Why don’t you create an Under-​the-​Rack Storage accessory that can also serve as a Belt Pack.
— I can see, in some situations, the L&L and the Seat Post and the Bicycle Seat being stolen in total. Invent a Lock & Load where the L&L attaches to the Seat Post and is also secured to the Seat Post Quick Release mechanism.
— Bungee Cords are CHEAP! Include a couple of them with purchase…
