Harold’s chicken usually tastes better when the Harold’s franchise is filthy. It seems more ‘down home’ that way. Unfortunately, this place didn’t qualify but the chicken was still cloggin’-my-arteries great. Service was friendly. It’s near my favorite musical instrument store, so I was happy as a clam.

I came here when they first opened. thinkin the food would be on point. WRONG. the wings were the smallest I had ever seen. there weren’t the USDA grade A. it was more like Grade D. The kind that restaurants pay cheap to get then charge us 3x the cost. sorry I have to pass.

Stopped here on one of those what should I eat for dinner nights after running errands. The mild sauce is the best. Remember to get pepper on your fries. They have several specials. The lobby was clean & the sell Seagram’s Ginger ale!!!

I’ve been to this Harold’s countless times & typically the chicken is really good here but for some strange reason (maybe because it was close to closing time) the chicken didn’t taste fresh.
I don’t care about the wait… it’s Harold’s, not fast food! If you want Harold’s fresh you’re going to wait no matter which one you go to unless you call it in.
Anyway, I still think the best Harold’s is right off 87th & the Dan Ryan. The Best!
I’ll define go back to the one in Oak Forest because I think this was just an off night. Once I return, I’ll update my review.

I haven’t eaten Harold’s in many Years: so I have had a desire for fried chicken. So here I am afterwards I will take Niacin and Coq10. Moderation is key. Can’t live a life eating fried chicken.

The chicken is good here, as well as some of the other items, but they are soooooo slow. I’ve come up to 20 — 30 minutes past the time they told me my order would be ready and it STILL wasn’t ready. Like, I had to wait ANOTHER 20 mins. It’s ridiculous. Good food, but not that good!

I ordered the 4 wing lunch special which comes with a pop and it was $ 6.53! That’s not a lunch special! Then had to nerve to give me these tiny underdeveloped wings! If you have to give me 5 wings instead of 4 you know these wings are bogus… I will never come here again

It’s not Harold’s chicken, it’s sharks fish and chicken. I had the 3 piece catfish meal. It sucked… Bones in fish, I don’t think they even take the skin off the catfish. Nasty !! Only good thing is you have to chew your food if you don’t want a bone in your throat .,. Urgh !!

This harold“s might be nice and clean. but the owners are very sad! When you can phone in a order and are told 20 mins and then you sit for 45mins. AND then when you ask about your order… it“s coming up now 20more mins… you people are a joke get it together or you will lose more customers there many more Harold“s in Chicago and yours is truly not on the top shelf you just lost a customer. To the owner you need some customer service skills you and your over dressed wife.

For a south suburbanite who can’t get to a Harold’s in the city, and likes waiting on their food for an absurd amount of time, this is the place.
The food’s worth the wait though! Just bring something to read…

First time in Oak Forest and the first time here. We were referred by people we trust! The fish was VERY good!!! Not gamey tasting at all. The chicken was okay, but I was totally shocked at the size of the cole slaw. It was an insult, actually and the frozen bought fries they re-​sale was quite a disappointment! Supporting black owned businesses is something we do in general, but they sold themselves short with the frozen fries and the baby size cole slaw.

This Harold’s has yet to disappoint. If I call in an order it ready when they say it will be. Very clean and polite. They also take debit cards without additional charge.
