You need to speak Spanglish to communicate effectively here. Greasy mediocre food with over cooked fries. You will need Tums after eating this garbage. The employees are gruff and abrasive; they think they are the Mexican mafia. Not the cleanest place either. I thoufht Oak Lawn would have better places than this to get something to eat. Make the trip to Evergreen Park to Pop’s instead: English speaking and fantastic food there.

Garbage. The Mexicans here can’t even make a decent taco. Cold. Slapped together. This on Thursday, their taco special day. AVOID

Best Gyros on the south side !!! Been coming here for 30 years, never disappointed, just get the Gyro with everything — sauce is the best !

The guy who takes the order in drive-thru is very rude. I like the food a lot. However, few times I’ve ordered, their bread that they use for burgers are old.

Was pleasantly surprised it was good. I had a polish with fries and I was happy. Would like to return to try other items on the menu.

Great late night snack! They always get my order right and they’re quick. Try their chocolate and banana milkshake with their gyro.

Horrible service and food. I was actually yelled at because they couldn’t hear me wile taking my order. Everything was very greasy, and I felt bad feeding it to my children. I’ll never be to busy to go elsewhere, or stop at the store so I can cook at home.

I love going to this place! The guys working the window are always rude and never friendly, and I’ve seen the short stocky Greek guy a couple times get frustrated and slam his fist down on the counter or scream out some swear words. I guess it’s all part of the vibe. The food is awesome. If you go order inside you’ll have all the creepy kitchen guys staring at you. I would recommend the gyro or the Philly cheese steak. The philly cheese is phenomenal. It’s a greasy buttery toasted hoagie with a nice big piece of grilled ribeye steak with cheese and onions. The gyro is a nice sized portion with some kick ass tzatziki sauce. Sometimes the drive thru is packed, but it’s worth the wait.

Good place to get a burger, hot dogs(my dad recommends their chili dogs), pizza puffs, fries, etc. Never have had a bad experience there.

Their greasy tacos are the best! Don’t forget the hot sauce! I’m not local but when I’m in town I always try to make a quick stop here. I’ve never tried the hot dogs or gyros even though my family likes them because all I need are the tacos!

The 3 stars is for the gyro plate portion! It comes with fries and enormous enough to share for 2 people. I minused a star for poor ventilation. I came here for lunch as it was recommend by Chicago’s best to have the best gyros but I should have came after a late night of drinking as I assume the«Drive In» experience after a night of debauchery could of earned the 5 stars. I came here for a lunch meeting I was having in the Oak Lawn area. It was a hot summer day and oh my was it hot inside! So beware for eating onsite over a summer day as they have poor ventilation for their AC, I would opt for the drive in after a long night or a cold winter day to eat inside.

I came here at around 9:30pm on a Saturday. It wasn’t crowded at all! I get tired of waiting in a line for a long time, so at least there wasn’t a line. I heard about Rosie’s Drive-In before, so I decided to try it. It’s a bit small just by the look of it. There is a small dining room, so I’d rather do a take-out order. The service was okay. My order was served at a fast time, and the staff didn’t give a harsh attitude to me. The only thing was that the chefs looked a bit upset and angry. Brighten up Rosie’s! The food was pretty good! I had a gyro and a strawberry shake. The strawberry shake tasted pretty good. It had a good flavor. Also, it wasn’t too thick, but it felt like a lot of liquid, and not that much ice cream. The gyro was really good. I liked the meat and the sauce, but they gave too much pita bread. It was good for two gyros. All in all, the food was pretty good, the service was okay, and this place looks a bit small. I might come back here.

Nothing special or distinctive about this place as such joints go, though I’ll still come to an old fashioned Mom and Pop place like this over a McDonalds. But how a fast food joint can claim or be said to have the«best» gyros(the apparent top-line specialty here) or whatever is beyond me. All the gyros meat, pita, sauce, etc comes from some wholesale factory operation where other fast food joints also get it before they slap it together in 5 seconds. It’s not like Grandma Constantineu is in the back making it from scratch. The gyro was just par or a little under. I like that you can get a side of feta, at least. Very brusque service, though maybe because they were really busy. There was no one on the premises who looked remotely like they might be named«Rosie.» Constant loud bursts of static from the 80s vintage speaker through which they take drive-thru orders. The fries were semi-soggy and had an off taste, so they lose points for that.

I was really disappointed with this place. We had driven past it a million times and it had so many good review on Unilocal we thought to give it a try. It fell way short of what I was expecting. The fries were soggy and burnt. To be completely honest they were basically inedible and very gross. My boyfriend got a burger which he said was chewy and burnt to a crisp. I guess it was a good thing I got the hot dog because that was actually pretty good. Then again, can you really call yourself a fast food drive-in if you screw up a hot dog? Well at least they have that going for them. Perhaps this is the establishment one chooses after a night of drinking because it’s better than White Castle? The people were really nice, but I won’t be returning.

What went wrong? This place has so many great reviews, yet I was so unimpressed! My boyfriend said his cheese steak was the worst ever. It was pathetic. The super taco was just ok, but nothing spectacular at all. Everything we had was just meh. Was I supposed to be drunk when I ate it? Is that the secret? Maybe I’ll try again when I’m a few beers in…
