Tuzik’s 95th Bakery Inc

Two words… Turtle Cookies! These cookies are my new obsession. They are delicious! Also tried the banana cream tart, chocolate donut, red velvet cupcake and more. All of it was excellent. Go see «Aunt Maggie» at Tuziks. You won’t regret it.

Very nice bakery, good selection of pastries, donuts, pie slices, cakes, cupcakes, cookies, brownies, cake slices, tarts, etc.
Has milk and coffee.
Clean, friendly employees, good prices, good food.
Like Wolf’s Bakery but smaller.
Wish it had Pumpkin pie all year round and more sugar free, low carb (maybe 25 carbs or less) deserts, but as I type 1 Diabetic I eat in moderation, tiny amounts.

I came in here with my soon to be mother in law to order a wedding cake. The staff was super friendly and they helped me choose a cake and size that best fits my needs. Afterwards, I bought a box of cookies which is about 30 mini cookies or a half pound. It was only $ 6 and some change. The cookies are very delicious, by the way.

By far the best bakery in the area. We have their donuts regularly but also have theircoffee cakes quite often. Prices are fantastic and cannot be beat!

Absolutely LOVE this place! They are very nice! The cookies are awesome and the cakes are delish! We purchased my daughter’s confirmation cake and the lady who helped me was very sweet and helped me with choosing a filling the icing etc since I never ordered a cake from their. She said that I wouldn’t be disappointed and she was absolute right! Usually we have tons of left overs and our cake was completely gone! We ordered a yellow cake with whip cream icing and strawberry filling. Very delish!

So! (buttons on your underwear) I haven’t been to all that many bakeries.
Considering that in my heyday I was 300 pounds (all muscle though!)
.this could come as a shock to many.
I’ve been to Tuzik’s about a half dozen times… mostly for kolach… ky’s? And coffee cakes and such. They’ve always been tasty. Today, for some odd reason, I decided to show up at 6:30a.m on pazcki day… with none reserved! I think this is the busiest day of the year for bakeries, cuz it was packed! No worries though, the staff is maxed out and efficient to the T. They even slow down for the nice old ladies who want one of this. one of that. let me see that one. no no, the one behind it… all in all they didn’t miss a beat and I was out of there in fifteen minutes.

I’ve been going to Tuzik’s since they were on 53^rd & Kedzie :-)!!! They have the absolute best HOSKA (houska) in town! (There is definitely no room for argument there — I’ve had stale versions at so many other places, nothing has come close to Tuzik’s) I love their cakes and cookies too. And I appreciate that they stayed true to their roots and they have maintained an old style bakery ambience. For the youngsters reading this, I moved up north years ago and have eaten at just about every popular restaurant and bakery up there and many of the best places in Vienna and Paris. Just because something is shiny and modern DOES NOT mean it’s the best. Get off your wanna be high horses and develop sound judgment in quality food and bakery. I love Tuzik’s and hope they have many more years of success.

I’ll preface that I’m not a big bakery fan but I felt compelled to let everyone know about my two favorites. I just absolutely love their krullers and cookies!!! The krullers are done to perfection with the right amount of dough, powdered sugar and baking. Never over done or greasy. The cookies with buttercream are a dream! Sweet and creamy, the buttercream is excellent.
The family also loves the donuts, long johns and kolaczki. Can’t vouch for the cakes as we’ve never tried them.
Another family member usually goes but I went in there once. A little old world ambiance with all the wood and service was good.
I just hope they don’t start running out of what we like now.

The place is so overrated. I got a cake here spontaneously for a girl at work. I told them I wanted the fresh strawberry cake over the phone, but when I got there… the cake did not look delicious. They just globbed a spoonful of strawberry pieces with jelly on top. That’s not impressive and nor does it make me want to drool for strawberries.
As for the tast test, it wasn’t bad. I would buy here again for last minute cakes only because there are not many bakeries to choose from in Oak Lawn.

Tuzik’s has been my go-​to bakery for years, (Since the 49^th and Kedzie days) so much so that It’s just automatic that I go there whenever pastry/​cake is required, I don’t even think about it, the car just points itself. So today was Paczkyi Day, I forgot to bring them in for my work guys last year and took so much shit for it last year I knew I had to put out this year.
Wow! I forgot just what a heavenly nibble that little puff of doughnut, whipped cream and fresh strawberries can be in the dead of March. THE BEST… ANYWHERE…EVER!
Their regular cakes and pastries are also fantastic year round and their prices and service are always right too.
Thanks Tuzik’s, keep doing what you’ve been doing so well for so long.

This is a great little bakery with lots of sweet goodies. A friend of ours, who still lives in Oak Lawn (and who I used to work with), would bring sweets to our office about twice a month, and they would be gone within minutes. Their pastries are always fresh and sometimes they offer complimentary coffee.
I still drop in when I’m in the Oak Lawn area and buy their blintzes, apple wheels and others!

Tuzik’s Bakery is the best!
Excellent customer service everytime. I have been purchasing a variety of baked goods from Tuzik’s for years and have never been dissapointed. I’m always excited for my birthday just because it means that it’s time for Tuzik’s Atomic cake made specially with my name on it. Everything inside this adorable bakery is delicoius.

I picked up a coffee cake that had 5 different fruits in one and a pumpkin pie for a meeting and everyone loved the treats! Great place and an old favorite in Oak Lawn.

This is the place for happy tummies! I think we tried damn near one of everything and loved it all. The kolacheys were super yummy. I dropped the prune log so I didn’t actually get to try that. The sprinkle cookies were very delicious, with a light lemony frosting. The APPLE WHEEL was my favorite. The only thing I wouldn’t heartily recommend was the cheese square. However, I must be in the minority because nearly the entire sheet tray was already sold. I loved the frosting on the square but the cheese taste itself wasn’t really for me. This place was great and ridiculously inexpensive. We walked out of there with 3 – 4 boxes of stuff and an extra bag of items and spent only $ 12.

This is an old-​fashioned storefront place that has, by far, the best baked goods I have ever tasted.
Nothing fancy, just good bakery! I’ve been to such vaunted places as Lutz’s, Dinkel’s, Tag’s, Bennison’s, and the Swedish Bakery, and while they may have prettier stores, none can hold a mixing spoon to Tuzik’s!
From the butter cookies, to the apple slices, to the donuts, coffee cakes, party cakes and breads, you can’t go wrong.
Family-​owned, friendly staff, and reasonably priced is the icing on this tasty cake!
