Best place ever! Cute designer frames and the employees are really helpful! I am the most indecisive person in the world and I was able to choose 2 pair of frames in less than 30 minutes. Cindy was super super helpful! She knows glasses and very fashion savvy!

My FAVORITE place for glasses — ever! Staff are congenial and very helpful, glad to make a few extra steps for somebody who just can’t seem to make up her mind(blush). Optomotrist is outstanding, patient, expertly able to answer all your questions about your eye-health now and for your future, too. Willing to make accomodations, even if he thinks they are silly(honest professional opinion gratefully, not withheld) Frame selection is SUPER and they are happy to stand by their quality work. I first found this place(MANY years ago) by simply asking others whose attractive, well-made eyewear I admired, «WHERE did you get your glasses??» Proud to say I have been a satisfied and faithful customer ever since! (the free eye exam is just one more perk) :)

I know this is a great store to get glasses. The staff is helpful and modern enough to make sure you are not outdated with styles that are appropriate for your face structure. I have attended short term missions in Africa and this store actually assisted me in my drive for medical supplies., Great place

I’m actually not even giving one star. This place is a SCAM that does not deserve to be in business. Here’s what happened, in chronological order: 1) I have a pair of 1-year-old glasses that I bought abroad, and one part where the legs fold broke. 2) Since the frame is not sold here in the US, I ordered the exact same frame from the country I bought it and had it shipped to me. 3) I took the new frame and my broken glasses to Weiner Optical. There were two staff members, both female. I asked them if they could replace the frame. They agreed. 4) Lady no. 1 took my glasses, put them in the frame warmer, popped out the lenses, and placed them in the new frame. At this time, I did not expect anything to go wrong, because switching lenses should be the simplest of all tasks for any optician. 5) I asked for the price. She said there is no need to pay, because it is a «simple» task. 6) I come home, take off my contacts and try them on — BOTHOFMYLENSESWERECRAZEDSEVERELYFROMTHECENTER. The craze looks like dragon/snake skin spreading from the center and covering about 2⁄3 of the surface. 7) I go back to the store immediately, and tell them of this situation. Lady no. 1 sees the craze, but refuses to admit that this was a technical mistake. She instead accuses me of lying, that the lenses are defective in the first place, and that she should not be responsible for anything. We argued for about 10 minutes, but in vain. 8) Came back home, did plenty of research online, and it turns out the coating of the lenses can craze due to heat(from the frame warmer). One online community of opticians say that they try to avoid heating up frames if they are made out of plastic(like mine), in fear that the AR coating might craze. 9) I went to LensCrafters for expert advice. Two young, friendly staff members looked at the lenses for 2SECONDS, and confirmed that my lenses got crazed due to heat. Believe me, I’m not a that mean of a person to try to take away money from a small, local business. What I’m angry about is her stubborn, unprofessional attitude. I would not have given such horrible review if she had admitted that it was an amateur mistake and simply apologize. I did not have to do this research on my own to find out what happened to my lenses — instead, she should’ve explained them to me. Some readers here might think I’m an asshole for not«appreciating her favor», but it would’ve been fine by me if she had said«no, we don’t do repairs». You would think family-owned business would have the HONOR and INTEGRITY to provide great customer service, but it turns out they are sleazier than any other business I would imagine. BTW, everyone, just go to LensCrafters or any other large chains, there is a reason why they do so well.

I’m surprised by the low ratings here because I have been a happy customer for more than 10 years. The optometrist and two of the long-time staff who work there are great — they know their stuff and are helpful. I admit that over the years they may have hired a person or two who worked the phones that may not have been stellar. And Saturdays can be busy if you don’t have an appointment. But don’t let someone else’s single bad experience turn you away. I am a long-time client and can assure you that the good service way, WAY outweighs the bad and I trust their commitment to quality.

I’m astonished by the 1-star ratings for this place. I used to hate picking out glasses until I came here. They are always super friendly, and while I normally hate clingy salespeople, these people are so good at what they do that I would be stupid to ignore them. Every time I go here to pick out new glasses, I’ll try on 20 pairs, but the ones I go with are invariably the first or second pair they hand me, which always earn me tons of compliments. It’s like magic how they are able to take one look at you and know which glasses are perfect for you. Ohhhh…I see. Unilocal filtered out all of the good reviews, FYI.

I recall visiting Weiner optical with my son. Although I was just browsing the store, I thought this would be the perfect location to schedule a future appointment with the Optomistrist, as I live only two blocks away. I was probably in the store for at least 10 mins, but the sales associate didn’t bother looking up or in my direction, so I left assuming I(and my money) wasn’t welcome. No problem… I don’t mind shopping around. The 1-star rating is very generous.

I wasn’t even able to make an appointment because the girl who answered the phone was rude with me and wouldn’t answer my simple question of ‘what are your hours?’ she just kept telling me to hold on and then spouting off appointment times, all of which are a month from now. i wanted to support a local business, but doesn’t seem like they need it. back to lenscrafters i go.

This place actually makes me look forward to shopping for glasses. Most helpful staff ever, and they are not afraid to give their opinions, make you try new styles, etc. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. They will make sure you are delighted with your purchase.

Weiner Optical is not swank or trendy, and I was leaning towards somewhere a bit more fancy for my long overdue eye exam, glasses and contact lense purchase. However, I decided to give it a shot. The exam was good — the guy knew his stuff and gave me the most honest answer to my question about the safety of lasix surgery I have ever gotten from an optometrist. Then I went to go pick out glasses. The ladies behind the counter forced me to try on stuff I normally wouldn’t, but it turns out they have an extremely good eye for what fits a face. I found a great pair of glasses that I wouldn’t have found alone. I was really happy with their level of expertise and to top it off they gave me a really fair price. I’m a fan.

went to this place to buy a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses awhile back. having done my homework i knew what the suggested retail price for the style i was looking for should be. this place was $ 25 over that and they were rude about it. i see no reason to ever go back after that

They’ve got a really helpful staff here and also a huge selection of eyewear and accessories. They are pretty fairly priced and they often have sales so keep a lookout!
