I have absolutely no interest in supporting this establishment. What an odd experience. I found the shop a bit dingy and crammed and the shop lady standoffish. Prices were outrageously unreasonable. I mean, asking $ 50 – 100 for an old single-drawer nightstand is just nuts. Get real, we are dealing with used furniture and clothes that are either missing a drawer handle or a few buttons. This isn’t Bliss furniture or Neiman Marcus(also-overpriced by the way). The lady gave me real snarky vibes. I told her I just moved to the area and always looking for new funky accents, etc. My gal pal also just moved to the other side of town. I asked for the shop address so I could pass it along to my friend.(There were some neat Asian pieces that looked cool if the shopowner was willing to negotiate). But I was greeted with disdain. The lady wouldn’t look at me. She just wrinkled her nose and made a dismissive gesture. She repeated that ‘you know, there are many thrift stores in the area.’ She just said ‘hmph! I don’t know’. She said it over and over and sort of scooted me away. Just. Plain. Odd. Alrighty then. Well, she is right. You can actually support a local cause at Goodwill or KARM stores in the area and get more realistic prices for worn pieces. And much happier vibes.
