Wow! Truly impressed at the customer service, friendliness, and all around caring car shop. My daughter’s car would not run and after taking it to another car shop were it sat for 3 weeks just for them to tell us they could not fix it we went to dans automotive and he said bring it and he will look at it. By the end if the day he had figured it out and had my daughter back on the road! God bless and you have earned all our automotive business!

Dan and his wife are absolutely AMAZING people! Honestly, I haven’t met such generous and genuine people in a long time.
My friend and I were practically stranded just outside Yosemite, but Dan came to the rescue. He even drove all the way to Fresno to pick up a part and then worked late into the night on a Friday to make sure we had the car to go into Yosemite by Saturday morning.
So thankful for these people, don’t go anywhere else! They’ll take care of you!

Satisfied customer! Dan was the best. His brake check was thorough and honest. It’s a little stressful hoping to find the right service place when you’re just visiting the area. We were thankful for other Unilocal reviews that pointed us to Dan. Dan’s quality of work is fantastic. Great job and we haven’t heard a sound from the new brakes. If we didn’t live so far, we’d see Dan for our next break job.

Dan saved our vacation planes to visit Yosemite Valley. Our car over heated and
the radiator was replaced in 4 hours.
The cost of the repair was very reasonable
and the customer service was outstanding.
Even though the shop is closed on the week
ends Dan responded to our email request to repair our car on Monday which is above and beyond the call of duty.

We were just starting our family vacation to Yosemite when our engine started overheating. I chose this business due to the reviews on Unilocal.I was not disappointed. I showed up and explained the issue to Dan. He was very proffesional and polite and evaluated our problem and promptly had it fixed. I felt i could trust Dan and feel that his price and quality for repair was very reasonable. I would recommend this auto repair business to anyone in the Oakhurst area. I was in and out within about 2 hrs. This made our almost vacation failure a success.

Limped into Dan’s Auto (by sheer luck) after fearing our brakes were failing on the mountain from Wawona on our way back to San Diego. Have now read other testimonials and they all read the same as our experience. Honest, very informative, and didn’t want to charge for inspection and diagnosis that I was riding brakes too hard and over heating the rotors. I paid him anyway. Fair is fair and «professionals» deserve compensation. Similarly, wish he was in our neighborhood.

we were on our way to Seqouia National
park (from Bass Lake) when the brakes on my truck started rubbing. With the whole family on board, I cautiously drove to the nearest shop we can find on Unilocal.Found this place, met Dan and his wife (I assumed), couldnt be any nicer. we took the truck for a test drive, couldnt find anything wrong with it (possibly ABS malfunction??), drove back to shop, then Dan gave it a visual inspection then sent us on our way. We were not charged with any fee, made it to our destination and had a fantastic day at the park. Definitely a first class shop at the Oakhurst/​Yosemite area, Thanks again Dan.

I have had repairs done at Dan’s Auto for years and years. Dan and Sally are honest and Dan has all the best diagnostic equipment in the Yosemite area. If you need auto, motor home or truck repair, this is the place to go.

Fresno, CA
On a trip up to Yosemite, I had to stop here to have some emergency car care. Dan and Sally were extraordinarily helpful, and they had my car fixed that afternoon. Not only did I feel I could trust Dan, but he meticulously went over all the tests and repairs he performed, along with giving me advice about other problems I’d soon want to have looked at. I only wish Dan’s Auto Center were in Fresno. Dan would be my regular mechanic if it were!

I had to stop here after some car troubles on a 2 day trip to Yosemite but am glad I did! Dan and his wife were very helpful, honest, and understanding of my situation. Since they couldn’t fix my car in the morning, they loaned a car to my girlfriend and I so we could still enjoy our second day in the park! I wish I knew of a shop in the Bay Area that was close this this good.
