The pizza was delicious(pepperoni on sourdough crust) and the salad was a great size with lots of toppings. Establishment is a little odd and the prices are a bit high.

This business is NOT closed! Competitors have been posting untrue reports. We ate there this past Saturday, and it was delicious: fresh, and perfectly seasoned. The owners are very accommodating. The atmosphere is family-friendly. We highly recommend this restaurant! Please give it a try. The picture posted of the empty building is a former location. This place is open, just north of the Valero station on Highway 41, on the same side of the street.

Ordered an xl pizza. It was maybe 12″? It’s edible is the only feedback I can give.

I don’t know why Unilocal claims this location is permanently closed when my friend and I were just here on Friday. Anyway, I should’ve just left as soon as we walked in, but I felt bad about walking in and walking right back out. The restaurant itself is small and unassuming, and obviously run by family members who continued to argue while we stood there waiting for them to take our order. I was scared to try the pizza so I opted for the«cheesy garlic bread sticks,» which took way too long(about 15 minutes). Considering there were only 3 other tables and all seemed to have gotten their food already, it was a little weird to say the least(hopefully rolling out fresh dough??). Food: since I only ordered the bread sticks and got ranch with it(wasn’t told it was an extra 50 cent charge for ranch, and marinara was NOT included in the bread sticks order), that’s all I can really review as far as their food. I thought the dough tasted good, but was a little thrown off by the size(definitely not worth $ 6.50 + $ 1.00 tip). The only parts I ended up really eating were the cooked, crunchy dough edges. The middle was saturated with what I’m assuming was cheddar(orange) cheese, and the middle of the bread was layered with garlic. Since the cheese was so heavy in the middle and all the concentration of flavor was there, I was sad I couldn’t eat that part since the dough was so undercooked, it was pasty, and the garlic was basically raw. I see that people have reviewed that the pizza was amazing, and maybe I should’ve just ordered pizza instead, but after the bread sticks I just totaled it up to be a waste of money and time. I’ve been spoiled with great pizza and genuinely delicious Italian cheesy garlic bread sticks since I worked at an Italian joint for 2 years, so this place was a major disappointment. If you’re headed into or out of Yosemite, don’t order the breadsticks here, and don’t expect much customer service or that freshly made pizza smell every pizza joint SHOULD have.

Stopped in for lunch and I had pizza and was not overwhelmed with it at all. Came here based on some reviews on trip advisor. The owner tended to rant and rave about his own food. It was a little awkward how much he engaged about his food.

Amazing! Delighted they offer vegan cheese. Absolutely delicious pizza. I read some of the reviews and must say, they are not fast food nor do they have a ton of seating, but this is no reason to give a bad review. The owners take immense pride in their product and have a very loyal customer base. Sourdough crust is unique and very satisfying. They also offer stuffed crust pizza! Menu is very unique and we look forward to trying several of their options in the near future. We ordered a medium on New Years Eve and returned NY day for an extra large. If that doesn’t say something, what does? 5 stars for sure.

Stopped in on our way to Yosemite. Not much seating. Good crust choices. We ordered the standard thin crust. Pizza is a little greasy. The salads were tasty. Nothing special. You have a lot of other choices in Oakhurst, feel free to take a pass.

Let me just start off by saying that after a 2 and a half hour drive… our family’s pretty tired and weary. The owners greeted us as soon as we came in. They made very pleasent conversation with us and asked how our drive was and where we were coming from. EXCELLENTSERVICEATSUGARPINE! Unfortunately… the pizza is not as good as the service. Very greasy and oily. If you must eat at Oakhurst… you’d be better off eating at the Starbucks next door. Kind folks and clean place though!

This is my first and so far only review on Unilocal.I promised the owner I’d write one, and it’s been a long time coming. I came here one year ago, and it’s still the best pizza I’ve ever had. My girlfriend and I came in for a quick bite to eat and ended up chatting with the owners for a good two hours — both are super friendly, funny, engaging, and overall nice people. The establishment is small, but cozy. Warm and inviting, I couldn’t ask for a better restaurant.

Got their large size pizza which was well fitting for four adults. Ordered half shrimp pesto, which is always good to see something other than just vegetarian and the traditional meat option. Along with their garlic chicken which they recommended with the thin crust. Delicious pizza and didn’t take longer than necessary. Friendly staff and the guy who took my order was pretty funny. Tells us that he makes his own dough which I thought every or most company did but apparently that’s not the case. Something new learned about this industry. Would come here again!

Great Mom and Pop pizzaria ! The gentleman that owns the place is legit !! Their pizza is fresh and made to order, any way you want it. Also they have 3 different types of dough to choose from which is unique. Will definitely be coming back! Prices are cheap too! 2 slices for 4 $

Loved this place! Sourdough crust is delicious! We were the only people inside and they let the kids make their own pizza. Super friendly! Would definitely go to this place again!

A hidden gem in Oakhurst! After a long drive, we arrived just before closing. They were beyond accommodating and truly wanted us to enjoy our pizza. We were ecstatic to find out they had vegan options! They made one of the most deelish vegan pizzas I have ever had. We chose the«Veggie», added pineapple, vegan cheese and put it on the whole wheat crust. A family of four arrived well past closing as we were enjoying our pizza and they didn’t hesitate to bake them a pie as well. Highly recommend a stop to anyone visiting Oakhurst or looking for some eats near Yosemite!

The pizza isn’t very good but many people enjoy it. I don’t mind the dog that lays inside. It’s just chilling in the corner, not peeing in the ovens. I’m unsure what the issue is there other than knit picking. Robby is a nice guy but he’s also very much into politics and forgets that we don’t all lean far right and detest homosexuals and Obama. Icky political opinions slathered onto a thin crust and baked to perfection. Most locals won’t taste the bitterness but I do and I can’t go back. They have gluten free crust for those who are interested. It’s not bad.

What can I say… went in ordered a large and medium pizza…$ 45…we didnt even order drinks… okay…were thinkin’…“Gourmet”…okay…maybe worth it… boy were we WRONG! After placing our order we went to the taco place to order fountain drinks and a couple tacos just so we could sit outside on their patio table as Sugar Pine had no outdoor seating. We get our table and sit out side… our tacos get brought out to us and we eat them… we go back in to see if our pizza was ready… not even in the oven yet? There was one old lady in front of us. i dont get it. Working in the hospitality industry for over ten years… you learn to have a sense of urgency for your patrons, this place had none. This is where it started getting a little«Twlight Zone» for us. After listening to this guy who we thinks works there or is in relation to someone who does as he was just kinda hangin out there yell«GETOVAHERE!» at his little daughter a million times as she happily played and jumped in the puddles we felt a little awkward. He gave the occasional chase just to spank her on the butt then go sit back down. Not our business really but we decide to sit in SPGP since the only table in the place had become available and outside was awkwardly unpleasant… we sit and wait… and wait… and wait… the lady comes over with paper plates… makes sure to give us only one single-ply of paper plate… totally gourmet. Finally our pizza comes out… what the… what is this… every topping is minced up tiny if its there at all… the garlic and artichoke pizza had no garlic flavor at all and no pieces of artichoke bigger than a ¼ inch… the BBQ pizza is made with .99c sweet baby rays bbq sauce we saw them squeeze from the retail store bought bottle… very gourmet, it also had cheddar? cheese? The pizza SUCKED! Like not just bad, like really bad! We ate it because we had been there for over an hour and were starving by this point… and it was $ 45! There was no «Sourdough» flavor what so ever… none…it was plain cardboard crust to my taste buds. The owner came and asked up random questions and made awkward comments the whole time as we tried to chow this crap down and get out of this nightmare. We got back on the road and I felt like I lost a little part of my soul, this place is weird.

Ok where do I begin… Do not listen to any of the reviews saying this place is good… Save your money. The owner was in flip flops and shorts in the kitchen which was weird. It took an hour to get our food which was $ 45 dollars mind you. The ranch was really just mayo, parsley, and salt. Not good. Their«Double Sour Dough Crust» is what brought me in and was non existent. I did not taste any sourdough what so ever. Toppings were dismal at best and pizza was not gormet. In conclusion this place has made me not want pizza for a while but also not want to go to Oakhurst ever again in general. I hate leaving a bad review but this place is simply too expensive and NOTGOOD!

This pizza is mediocre at best. Overpriced with a sub-par amount of toppings. Very similar to a frozen take home pizza you would get at the grocery store. They unnecessarily advertise on Facebook swap pages by trying to bash and downplay other reputable pizza spots in town that are far more superior.(Pizza Factory and Round Table) I always thought the owner was unprofessional when I overheard him provocatively speaking about locals who do not enjoy his pizza to a Grocery Outlet employee, who seemed very uninterested in the conversation. It seemed as if he was just looking for someone to vent to about people not enjoying his pizza. I was also in disbelief when I read his replies to all negative feedback on review sites. Pizza is one of the most debatable foods, not everyone will enjoy it. Learn to take criticism properly and think about upgrading your business and bettering your business decisions instead of taking out frustration on negative feedback and bashing competition.

This is a review of our last and final visit to this establishment and the reaction from the business owner. This had been our weekly pizza night stop, they were a local small business and also had vegan cheese which was great for us being vegan for ethical and dairy allergy reasons. We took the pizza home and something was different with the cheese. I called and asked if they were sure they put on the right cheese. When questioned the owner and son got very defensive and told me that they used the vegan cheese they just switched to a new brand that melted better. I told him that the«melting» was what threw us off because every vegan cheese we have tried does not melt like that. The owner assured me that it was vegan, let me know the brand and where they bought it so I could check for myself. I asked them to please double-check the bag that it said vegan and he assured me it did. We checked at the local grocery and the cheese he purchased is not vegan. It contains casein from dairy. I contacted the owner via Facebook to let him know and there was zero response. They are still using this non-vegan brand and advertising it as vegan along with the other vegan cheese they use. My wife posted a review of the experience and the owner contacted me via Facebook with this very inappropriate message. At no point did the owner admit the mistake or offer to make amends. We see that they also catered a wedding rehearsal that included vegans, I hope they got the right cheese. The email sent to me after my wife posted a negative review follows, «Hello. Saw That your Family Felt the Need to SLAMMY family & our Business. i didn’t know you required an answer to this Msg… . only that you voiced your opinion & concern. we try so hard to be open to all concerns & input. you all have gone way over the Edge with Your SLAM!!! we made what you asked for and told the truth in regard to all our Ingredients. my Family cooks for as many people as possible. we seem to have limits as to what that may be we hope you find what your looking for somewhere else. again this is MYFAMILY and you are not welcome to Threaten or verbally SLAM them ! Have a nice Life»

Well hmmm, it’s very unfortunate because a few months ago I would have written a rave review. They had VEGANCHEESE! Up here that’s just a rarity. We were regulars because of that. Finding a pizza shop where we can get a dairy free cheese option?! Please yes. Totally made our kids’ week, Friday night was«pizza and a movie night». We drive out of our way to go to THIS restaurant over any others. And then one night we noticed our cheese was not the same. We figured someone accidentally put on cow cheese which was a bummer because we had JUST had that happen days before on a trip and it made one of our boys sick and left us hungry until we found something else(fairly healthy) we could eat. But back to the story. We called them and said hey the cheese looks wrong! They said no it’s vegan! We said no it’s too melty, non dairy cheese doesn’t melt that way… Your old vegan cheese(daiya) didn’t melt like this, you put on the wrong cheese, it’s cool just say you made a mistake. They said no, it’s vegan you’re fine, it’s just a new kind we are getting instead of daiya now. We are buying it from Raleys. We promise it’s vegan((non dairy)) So a few days later we went shopping at raleys and looked at that brand, it has casien, milk protien. My husband wrote the owner via facebook and I added in MY issues, not only why we are vegan but that one of my children and I having dairy allergies. That message went unanswered. I’m VERY disappointed that they switched from a known nondairy cheese brand to something that was just unknown to them and I really hope they aren’t still selling it to people under the guise of vegan(for ethical issues that’s terrible) and non dairy(for dietary allergies that’s terrible!) Don’t even let me start on the«dog» that has barked and scared my friend’s child. And the people that work/hang out are just there for I don’t know why but to take up space walking out and smoking right outside the establishment. One more. The incredibly unprofessional responses to any negative reviews. What does that say about a person that cannot handle criticism? I need to add that since I wrote this review the owner, Robbie, has written a facebook message to my husband yelling at he that I «threatened» him and his family on Unilocal,I believe that’s untrue I think my review, while not a very good review based on our experience after their choice to change from a vegan cheese to A cheese with casien in it and not tell us, it wasn’t «harassment» or «threatening» it was a step taken because they opted not to acknowledge a mistake, a choice made to change cheeses, and not to provide customer service by apologizing or even writing us back. Worse, they told us we were wrong during our phone call after we got our pizza when we questioned the cheese we got. The fact is that they went from a known vegan cheese, daiya, to go veggie! A brand that has some vegan and some not, the type that THEY buy is from raleys, which has casien and we had the opportunity to see that ourselves. After this review fiasco, this business has decided to spite the«vegan/dairy allergy» information I have tried to Kindly provide him several times and has written a promotion on his facebook profile claiming they carry VEGANANDDAIRYFREECHEESE. I’m not sure that he really understands that I’m trying to Help here and that he should be glad that I only have a mild dairy allergy, the next person he lies to Could end up in the hospital with an anaphylactic reaction because of a milk allergy. Food establishments cannot just say whatever they want about what is in food, they can’t say there’s no peanuts in peanut butter and that’s their opinion. It doesn’t work that way. Dear Unilocal,I’m not a crack pot. Please look at every negative review this business has had and see that this owner has issue with every one.
