If you are looking for a trainer I would highly recommend Bambi Nguyen. Several friends had worked with her over the years and I had always heard great things about her from them. I had always thought, «someday» and then I pursued other means to build strength(pilates, yoga, joining the Y). I sure wish that I had trusted my instinct and started with her years ago. Bambi’s approach is fun, kind, and effective. She personifies patience and has a wonderfully gentle approach that produces results. I am the kind of person who wants to see immediate progress and I view exercise as a necessary evil rather than something I actively like to do. I find myself looking forward to our sessions because I know that they are visibly helping to increase my body awareness, mobility and build strength. In working with me, Bambi’s approach has been a mixture of taping into existing strength and working with the brain to retrain body patterns that do not serve to maximize movement. This at first seemed really strange. I had never had anyone work with me in this way. It has blown me away with its effectiveness and now make total sense. This neurological approach has gotten me further in a much shorter amount of time than other«traditional» means. Bambi is fully engaged in her own ongoing learning and brings this directly back into our work sessions. She is an exceptional human being who approaches life and work with grace, integrity and passion. What a winning combination all around.

I recently started exercising because of doctors orders, and I wanted a personal trainer who could teach me about the right kind of stretches to use before a run, the right kinds of exercises to do on my non-running days, and the right kind of nutrition for my body that would also support my health. Bambi was the perfect choice. We met at her studio and gave me a series of test to help me with very specific exercises I could do on my own, she gave me great nutritional advice, and she did an analysis on my running form that helped me avoid injury by making some adjustments. Bambi is ridiculously knowledgeable, super cool, and easy to talk to. We trained using kettle bells and Pilate’s…it was truly a workout but I felt great after wards.
