This man is a charming charlatan. We hired him to remove rats. His approach was to spread rat poison in our basement, and then when it worked (dead rats in the wall), he said he would remove them if we permitted him to use a chain saw (he has many jokes, and lots of tales to terrify his customers).
We contracted with him for weekly visits over 2 months; when he didn’t come after the first visit, he suggested that we nag him. When we fired him, we asked him to remove the poison. He responded that he had done so (without entering our house). When we pointed that out, he asked for our address; most recently, he said he was traveling.
And if you think rats are bad, try rat mites — which was the infestation that ensued after he killed the rats in the house.
If you like this approach, I suggest you go to the hardware store, buy some rat poison, and throw it around yourself. It’s lots cheaper. Better, find a professional who will kill the rats with traps in the house, and away from the house, and remove the dead critters — without nagging.
