MY wife visited Dr. Collins in San Ramon on November 11 for an physical exam which was done thoroughly by him and an assistant. Dr. Collins requested an additional exam by another department there at the San Ramon facility even though my wife had the same test done the previous September. My wife called 4 times to schedule an appointment prior to having the test he required so she could get the results. No one ever responded to her to give an appointment. Since the 2−8−16 test my wife has repeatedly called both offices to schedule. She got a March 2 appointment that was cancelled about the day prior due to the Doctor’s illness. In attempts to reschedule, his office staff at both locations either do not answer the phone or fail to answer or respond to our messages. Even our personal physician has extreme difficulty with his staff not answering the phone especially in the San Ramon office. In the last 4 weeks my wife has suffered multiple debilitating stress events partially attributed to Dr. Collins’ office staff. This review is mainly for the office staffs at both locations.

We scheduled an appointment 3 weeks in advance. Arrived ten minutes early and were given a stack of forms to complete. Some of these were detailed questionnaires. We completed the forms and turned them in to the receptionist. We then waited 30 more minutes to be seen. Dr. Collins said because it took so long to complete the paperwork it would shorten the consultation time. I asked why the paperwork couldn’t be mailed in advance or patient’ informed there was extensive paperwork to complete before appointment time. He didn’t answer my question but, to his credit, he did complete a full consultation.
