Stephen and Dwight are lovely people who bring editorial-​level taste and skill to Oakland. Stephen does a meticulous and thorough job on my haircut, every single time.

I just started to have Norma do my brows and Wow! they’re great. I’ve had them done for years by various people and Norma’s are the best.

I came here over the summer, desperate for a haircut a few days before a family gathering and photo session. Stephen gave me an absolutely beautiful, perfect haircut. Next, I brought both daughters in for cuts. Both left looking chic and sophisticated and — even better — the cuts grew out beautifully. Today, Norma gave me eyelash extensions — gorgeous. And my older daughter now has crazy gorgeous carmel highlights and ombré effect. Run, run, run here for great haircuts and an overall exceptional salon experience.

Stephen has been my stylist for many years. I would not even think about anyone else touching my tresses! He is a master at color, keeping me a gorgeous platinum blonde and currently with beautiful blue streaks. Whether it’s been a shoulder length cut with bangs to my current long with layers style he has me walking out the door looking and feeling fabulous!
I have sent friends over the years to Stephen who remain just as loyal as I am. Recently my Mother and Niece came from out of town just to see him. My Mom with a short classy cut and color and my Niece’s long black hair with the most beautiful burgundy red tips. There is just no look he cannot achieve for you!
Norma recently tinted and shaped my eyebrows… wow they look fabulous! No more waxing for me ever!
I could not be more thrilled that Stephen and Dwight have moved to my Oakland. Located on Grand Ave across from Lake Merritt, they are surrounded by good restaurants and some very cool shops. Right off the freeway so no matter where you’re coming from in the Bay Area it’s easy to get to… although I would go to the end’s of the Earth to get to Stephen!

They are the absolute best. Very versatile and talented, can do anything from red carpet elegant to red carpet rockstar! They practice precision cutting and are always up to date with hair color trends. I literally sit down and say, «It’s fall!» And because Dwight knows me and my style, he works it out like the rockstar he is.

I have been a client forever, no one else can satisfy me. The new salon is easy to get to and I love the vibrant neighborhood! Steven, Dwight and Norma are so fantastic, I always receive a warm welcome and leave with gorgeous golden locks. I like my hair very long, and pretty blond which has been challenging for other people… although I recently went a bit shorter (mid back from waist lenght), Steven is the only stylist who has ever been able to help me achieve this length and color without sacrificing the health of my hair. They do not skimp on the quality of products they use and coupled with their high skill level I ALWAYS get excellent results. I refered my daughter to Norma, she came home beautiful and golden as well. Dwight is so talented and creative, he has come up with some amazing styles for special events, he is going to do this special bobby pin thing for me soon, I will post a pic, words do not do it justice. If u want to look fantastic this is the place to go.

I recently discovered this gem tucked back off the sidewalk on Grand. It’s a brand new business in this neighborhood so I stopped in just to check it out. Good vibes right away with the atmosphere. Was greeted with a warm welcome from Stephen Saiz. Also met Dwight Davis and a young woman whose name I’m sorry I didn’t catch. All 3 were extremely friendly, charming and helpful. I returned the next week for a cut from Stephen to shape up a cut I had received recently elsewhere. I left there with THE BEST haircut I have ever received. I lust can’t say enough about Stephen’s talent with the scissors and styling! And his warmth and charm!

Have been going to Dwight and Stephen for years. The new location is beautiful and easy to get to. As a man, I find getting a hairstyle that doesn’t look stuffy or boring is hard, let alone a stylist who can actually pull it off. Dwight is fantastic and makes me look professional but never boring. Stephen does my boyfriends hair and makes him look sleek and sophisticated. When I walk out of Davis Saiz I could be on a GQ cover. The service is impeccable. I highly recommend them! Call for an appointment cause they are usually pretty busy.
