Alyson was a pillar of support throughout the birth of our little girl. Starting at our first pre-​birth meeting, she helped provide reassurance, answered our questions and provided support for both me and my husband. During the birth itself she was very helpful in suggesting changes in position, and advocating for our needs. She also achieved the right balance of assistance and stepping back as appropriate to let my husband, the doctors and the nurses play their respective roles — a hard balance to get right! I can’t recommend her more highly.
