Emac Iron Works

The iron railing was recently replaced on our deck and driveway and I would highly recommend the people who did it. From inspection of the old railing and scope of the project through manufacture to final installation and painting, EMAC Iron Works and their owner Eduardo Macias were nothing but courteous and professional. They did a fabulous job creating a new set of railings for both areas, according to requested specifications and design. They were very easy to work with through a few reschedules because of the rain these past few weeks. When they were finally able to install, they were extremely thorough, laid down blankets to protect the floors and carpets, and did a great job overall for a very reasonable price.
Eduardo definitely knows iron, and goes the extra mile to ensure safety and compliance with code. It was he who suggested that the old hollow rails be replaced with solid rails for longevity and extra safety (the deck is 3 stories up). He also pointed out a sloping area on the driveway where a child’s head would have been able to get under the lower horizontal bar on the old railing, and he took steps to modify the design so that the new railing does not allow for that.
Removal of the old rail, installation of the new, treating and painting were all done in 1.5 days. 3 coats of paint were put on the rails in both areas, and they are beautiful!
Eduardo’s English is a little limited but he is great at texting and there was no problem understanding design specs or scope of work so please don’t be put off by this. Communication was never an issue.
