This unique expressive arts practice really changed my life when I first moved to the Bay Area in 1998.
If you are looking for a way to express or get affirmed or exform (you’ll have to learn that one in person)…this is your place.
The studio/​building InterPlayce is gorgeous, and a meeting place for interfaith, intergenerational people can come and PLAY!
Come dip your foot in, or jump all the way in!

InterPlay is AMAZING! It got me through Grad School without going insane.
The people are really friendly, the classes are fun, and there is a real sense of community in this place. I walk in, and it just feels like home.
If you’re looking for a great spot to hang out, dance, tell stories and have a good time, InterPlay is the place for you.
Upsides: gorgeous hardwood floor, welcoming atmosphere, fun classes, inspiring performances
Downsides: outside the building, it smells like pee sometimes because men decide to use the potted plants as their personal toilets… boo.

InterPlay is an active, creative approach to unlocking the wisdom of the body through improvisational movement, voice, stories and stillness.
If you want to «get out of your box», de-​stress, have fun, meet deep and witty people, and even find community, then get yourself to an InterPlay class, weekend workshop or «untensive.» No previous arts experience is required.
If you just want to check it out, try the free sample class on the 1^st Sunday of every month 2 – 3:15 pm at Interplayce, the beautiful dance studio at the corner of 23^rd and Telegraph in Oakland.
