Ok… fast delivery! I didn’t love the Orange chicken or egg fu yum… I am starting to think they just make it different on the west coast. I enjoyed the broccoli and beef and the quick service very friendly delivery person. Egg fu yum I ordered was shrimp and they used what looked like can shrimp in the gravy and none in patty and the patty had odd Raman noddle taste and it was super thick… rather tasteless. The orange chicken just saturated in sweet sauce I did not enjoy. They did not send steamed rice. I wish I could find a good shrimp egg fu yum in Oakland. I’m unfortunately unimpressed.

This place has a huge menu! I never understand how someone can memorize the recipes to so much stuff! But this is a carry out place. There is not a table and the staff is behind bullet proof glass. I’m glad they are still in the neighborhood though! They have great soup. I’ve tried all of them. The rice and noodle dishes are tasty also. The food reminds me of what you would get from a grocery store sometimes in their hot section. They also deliver to almost everywhere too! It is my go to place for delivery for office parties and last minute meals.

Wish I could be writing a different review, because this was my go to spot for certain things… but after my experience last night, I won’t be going back for a while(If at all). So I palced an order to be delivered for dinner(while we watched the Warriors game)…placed the order online as usual, all went well. Food was delivered in a timely fashion, and it was hot. Salt and pepper wings, salt and pepper ribs, shrimp fried rice and combo mushu with extra pancakes and sauce. Now here was the issue, the pancakes were hard as hell when I picked them up, and even worse when I unrolled them from the foil they were moldy! Totally disguested, I called the restaurant and the guy that answered seemed unbothered and not very concerned. He then asked me what I wanted to do, did I want more? And did I want them now? OFCOURSE I WANTEDTHEMNOW, I ANTICIPATEDEATINGTHEMWITHTHEMEAL I ORDERED, DUH! So the delivery person returns and gives me two more orders of pancakes. I tried to show him why I needed more and give them to him, so he could at least take them back, but he waved his hands and just said, «I know, I know. .you keep!» And walked off. I understand things happen, but the way this was handled was so unprofessional. No apologies for selling and delivering molded food, not even an offer for a discount on future purchases, NOTHING! *PLUSTHERIBSTASTEDASIFTHEYWEREFRIEDINHELLAOLDASSGREASE! I was so very disappointed. Time to find a new spot that delivers.

Jade Palace is one of these East Oakland mom and pop Chinese restaurants that’s been here for years. This neighborhood near Fruitvale and Mac is not one of the better hoods’ in Oakland, but this little place survives. You might think they just have the usual American Chinese food for the locals in the area, but they actually have some more authentic dishes as well like dry fried ribs, salt pepper chicken wings, and even the old school dish of beef with runny eggs over rice. It’s old school food here in Oakland. Places like this is where you got Chinese food before Panda Express came along… places like this used to serve American food as well. Normally I wouldn’t come down to this area and stay up in the hills, but a friend of a friend knows the owners here so we came. During the daytime for sure… it’s more or less safe. We got some fried rice($ 6.95), chow mein($ 7.25) and some tofu dish($ 6.95). The prices are a pretty cheap. I miss my local Chinese place near Montclair that closed, so I do have this choice. We just drop down Lincoln Ave from the hills and we’re right here! The food is actually not bad at all. Competently fixed and not overly greasy, I can live with this. Take out seem to be the thing here. They open till 10pm on weekdays and till 11pm on Fri and weekends so you can get your fix of Chinese food late here!

I just ordered the extra large shrimp fried rice with chicken and a small order of sweet-and-sour pork which my total came up to $ 24.62 and I pay by credit card because I don’t have any cash on me upon receiving my food I requested for some sweet-and-sour sauce and I was told it will cost me $.50… So I explained I don’t have any cash on me and I pay by credit card… So instead of just giving me the small most likely Half full couple sweet-and-sour sauce. She was willing to take my receipt back and going to change the price on my credit card… So I would just like to let the owner know you just lost a customer over 50 Cent… Think about that for second I spent $ 24.62 and you couldn’t even give me a Cup of sweet-and-sour sauce. Your loss not mine there a Chinese restaurant every corner around here…,

There are actually a lot of Chinese take-out restaurants in the neighborhood, and I admit that I haven’t tried them all, but this is my favorite so far. Don’t be afraid of the bulletproof counter/ordering area. I’ve lived in the area for a while and I’ve never had any incidents. The customers and staff are friendly and have even given me little gifts like artwork and calendars when I come to pick up my order. Delivery is cheap to, $ 3.50 to deliver a lunch special and an appetizer. I think the charge is higher if you live farther away. As others have mentioned: it’s not a dine-in restaurant and there are a lot of fried items, but also vegetarian and mixed vegetable items I don’t feel«guilty» about eating when I don’t have the time or energy to cook. The Salt and Pepper Chicken Nuggets are not the typical kind of nuggets you’d expect at a diner or fast-food restaurant. These and the Salt and Pepper Tofu come piping hot, in a serving amount so large, it’s literally overflowing out of the box and into the bag! I love to take the tofu or nuggets to work or parties as a snack. It’s cheap and delicious. Good«Chinese comfort food» at a great value. Worth checking out! Note: I read some reviews before writing this one and was appalled to read that a few people found bugs like roaches in their soup! This freaked me out, but I’ve never had this experience. I sincerely hope that the kitchen and staff have taken note of these complaints and are more attentive to such issues and the cleanliness of their prep area.

I’m not sure who the chef was today(Sunday1/10/16 @ 5pm) but it wasn’t the normal one. The only thing the sweet and sour chicken order had right was the sweet and sour sauce. Instead of chicken there was dough. Just let that sink in. There were no onions, no bell peppers and again… No CHICKEN! Luckily, everything else we ordered was fine.

Every time I’m in the Bay Area I always have to come to Jade Palace. I always order the Salt and Pepper Chicken wings, which are AMAZING along with the Dried Fried Ribs. Can’t find them in restaurants where I’m from. Dried Fried Ribs are even better when baked in the oven for leftovers. Broccoli + Beef is pretty normal when compared to other Chinese restaurants. The Pork Fried Rice is my favorite! Pork Chow Mein is also wonderful just(ask without the cabbage…) haha! Of course this isn’t your«Four Seasons» Chinese food palace but for the price and food it’s just right!

I think Jade Palace is probably one of the best tasting Chinese Restaurants in the Oakland area. However, they’re RUDE beyond belief and sanitary is now in question. Whenever i’m hungover or feeling under the weather in general, their WonTon Soup is practically the ONLY thing that my stomach can hold. On October 23, 2015 I was hungover after a night of partying the day prior and had been craving their soup ALL day while at work. So when i got off work, that was the first stop I made. Food was cooked in a timely fashion. Once home and i began to eat the soup, about four bites in i scooped up something i FORSURE did not ask to be included. Immediately, i called them and informed them of the bug i had just discovered and all they said was ’ well what can I do for you? ’ They treated the matter as if it were an everyday thing! There wasnt even so much as an apology. … Their food is good and all, but i dont think i’ll be returning to the restaurant! :-/.

If you are looking for tasty food at a reasonable price, then this is a spot for you, but if you are expecting a dine in establishment with courteous waiters, then you may want to keep looking. The food here is good because it’s made fresh to order and always served in large quantities; very easy to feed a family for less than $ 20. Also, this place has been in business for well over 60 years, and any place that can survive that long is A-OK in my book. If you come here, try a mixture of cheap tasty treats, just make sure one of your items are the crab stuffed wontons; one taste and you’ll never get your god back, so embrace it and walk into the light.

We tried to order online and when we put in our address we received a response that we were out of their area. We are just a mile away. We phoned in our order. The service was prompt, and reasonably priced. Our food was still steaming hot. We thought that was great. Upon taking our first bite we were sure something was wrong. Neither dish tasted correctly. My partner threw his away. I ate half of mine. We were both very disappointed. Not going to order from there again.

This place use to be great… I don’t know what happened. The food is disgusting, not fresh and questionable flavors. Last time we ate here, I had more crumbs than dried fried ribs, greasy no flavor chow mein and baby pink shrimp rice. I stay away from the bread«meats» in sauce, I find them to be hard as if they are old and very inedible. I definitely won’t be returning as a customer.

My brother turnt me on to this spot about four-five years ago’ but just recently the older lady that answers phone’s literally yeld at me over the phone, now I’m not sure if the old lady needs a brake, or a man it certain she should get her act together. Because know matter how good you cook, one thing is for certain two things for sure they lost a twice weekly eighty plus spender! I’m giving two stars only because they crab go crazy.

Sad to say they have fell completely off! I ordered delivery and every thing from the rice to the Wong ton soup was completely just gross! I think the normal cook moved back to China! So my fried rice was burned, my 3 way won ton soup had an off taste like something was spoiled. My dried died ribs were just ok. I was so disappointed because I grew up on this place…

2 ½ stars, rounded up — Ok tasting, low quality Chinese take-out or delivery that won’t give you food poisoning Food: Veggie Egg Rolls — 2 stars — By the time I got back to work 20 minutes later, they still weren’t soggy — that’s pretty f’n impressive. What wasn’t impressive though is how they tasted. Even tried dipping it in their extra sweet Sweet & Sour Sauce, but still not any better
Mongolian Beef — 2 stars — A little spicy, and different from most other places. I’m used to getting beef and green onions, but their version has a few different vegetables and is a lot saucier Sriracha Hot Chili Beef — 2 ½ stars — Doesn’t taste anything like Sriracha, but it’s still spicier than most Chinese dishes you’ve had around here. They load it up w/2 – 3 times more dried red chili peppers than beef. I liked it better than the Mongolian Beef though Steamed Rice — 2 stars — How are you gonna fumble steamed rice and made it dry? Really bro? Chicken Chow Mein — 3 stars — Nothing special, but probably one of your better options on the menu Other: — Take-out and delivery only — Thick bulletproof windows at the counter like you see at some banks — Food is made pretty fast — The locals come here to pick up some of their fried crab
