Don’t have anything to say about the food because I’ve never eaten here, but thought I should post a warning for all the people out there, who may be considering visiting this KFC. I was walking by this location when I overheard a mother with two young children sobbing uncontrollably in the parking lot behind the store. Her car was hooked up to a tow truck. Apparently this KFC(unsure if other locations do this as well) contracted a towing company that has tow trucks waiting outside their parking lot to tow their customers’ cars that have been parked there for longer than 15 minutes. The tow truck backed out of the lot and parked right around the corner after he was paid to drop the car. I can see how a family could easily spend more than 15 minutes eating a meal, so it blows my mind that this establishment would penalize their customers in this way. Absolutely shady and awful.

A couple of years ago I rated this place as 1 star! I still no longer eat their«chicken»(their pieces are the size of pigeons) but I love chicken pot pie! For about a year I’ve been eating the pot pies about once a month or so. Now I’ve seen it all, I ordered 5 pies to supplement our Family dinner(I did this often) and was disappointed to see that they started skimping on the filling portion on 4 out of the 5, cmon now, the tin was less than half filled! That’s it for me for this location. Guess I’ll stick with Marie Calendars frozen!

Last night on 4÷23÷15 I went to KFC, it was one of the worst meals I’ve ever eaten. The chicken taste like it was cooked in old grease, the corn was horrible and over cooked, the biscuit was hard, and the apple turn-over was deep fried in old chicken grease. Then to make matters worse when I got home I discovered they made my order wrong. I will never eat there again.

This KFC has to be my least favorite location in all of Oakland. I like that this location is in a nice area of town and that they have a security guard, but I hate that the parking lot situation is very unorganized(Very Easy To Get Blocked In). If the parking was the worst issue with this place; I would find more nice things to say about this establishment, but sadly the lot is just the beginning. The lobby is very small(Very Limited Seating), and although it looks clean everything is very sticky. Also, I think it’s F****** gross that the workers don’t wear hair nets, hats just aren’t enough(Twice I’ve Found Hairs In My Food). Oh S***, I almost forgot to comment on the food, it’s F****** awful, it taste double or triple fried and it’s super dry. Don’t eat here;its garbage, have a nice day :)

Three times in 2 weeks I’ve wanted bites. Three times I’ve been told there’s none made. I finally asked wtf. How can you be fast food if nothing is ready? Terrible.

ALWAYSCLEAN, ALWAYSFRIENDLY! I truly enjoy coming to this KFC. This is my go to spot for quick and tasty fast food during my lunch. The staff is always friendly and quick. I’ve never had to wait too long for my food. Not to mention, they give PLENTY of sauces for your meal. Other fast food places are extra stingy which erks me so much. This place gives you tons of sauce and that is a bonus for me! It’s also a reason, I gave them a higher rating. I’m serious when I say it is always clean. One of the CLEANEST fast food places I have ever been to. So delicous!

got a go cup with 3 «hot wings» and potato wedges(2.49) –chicken tasted the same as original fried chicken. i.e. flavor is all in the breading/crust, none is in the meat. –potato wedges soggy, tasted just ok. take outs: –service ok, food not –exiting parking lot, beware of cars making sharp right turns.

My complaint is that this location is consistently surrounded by trash that poses a hazard to animals(and is just downright unsanitary). There is an outdoor seating area, and it’s just filthy. People sit there and litter and feed KFC scraps to the birds. There is always a group of pigeons, seagulls, and even a night heron that seem to have made this place home. This morning, there was a pigeon that had been eating out of a KFC plastic bag, and its head got stuck inside the bag handle. The handle had twisted around its neck, and it couldn’t fly away with the weight of the bag. I helped free the pigeon, and when I went to throw the plastic bag away, both city trashcans nearby were overflowing with trash, mostly from KFC. I walk by this place everyday and the litter and plastic bags are a consistent problem. I recommend that you don’t support this establishment in general, but if you choose to eat here, please don’t litter and please try to avoid using their plastic bags. Please suggest to management that they need to take responsibility in cleaning up the surrounding area and tables outside, provide more trash receptacles to reduce the strain on the city ones outside, provide signs to not litter or feed the birds, and to not use plastic bags! KFC uses so much packaging as it is. The food obviously earns one star.

KFC is KFC and Oaktown is Oaktown. I remember when the counters were shielded with 2 inch bullet proof glass. Judging what happened over at Wing Stop the other day, sounds like time to bring it back.

There was a recent change to the menu board. It’s more well lit. Customer service has definitely improved since half year ago, the tenders are more responsive and friendly. Facility cleanliness: I cannot say since I always take my orders for takeout.

These guys are your run-of-the-mill KFC. Recently, their prices gone up. They have family bucket meals for $ 24 to $ 28 dollars now. When did that happen? I went for an 8 piece meal and used a coupon to bring it down to 10 bucks. Fried chicken is a staple of American food, and I hope they raised the quality if they’re going to raise the prices. I sure know they’re not paying their employees any better. A major tip for this KFC is to not stay in their parking lot for long. They WILL tow your car. They have a tow truck really near by and the owners are friends with the driver. I’ve heard sad stories of people’s cars being towed just because they stayed for over 30 minutes!

It’s rare that I ever go to a fast food restaurant, but last night I had the urge for the Original Recipe. I can’t remember the last time I had it — maybe 20 years ago? I had no issues with KFC, it was exactly the opposite — in my youth I gorged on their«finger licking good» foods. Becoming an adult, I found that I was putting on the pounds, and pretty much swore off all fast food restaurants. I don’t think my teenage kids have ever tried KFC’s Original Recipe either, so I looked up their specials on my phone, and found a 10 pc. mixed meal bucket special for $ 20.99. 6 pieces of classic, 4 pieces of boneless, 2 large sides, and 4 biscuits. I went directly to the KFC website for this —( ) This was an opportunity for KFC to re-introduce themselves into my life, as well as possibly earning two new customers for the rest of their lives. But KFC blew this opportunity. I took my phone to the front counter to place my order, and was quickly informed I could not get that price unless I printed the«Coupon» out — meaning I had to drive 10 minutes home and 10 minutes back to save a couple of dollars. I tried to explain to the lady that this was not a coupon — it was a KFC promotion. The website didn’t state anything about needing or printing a coupon — it was simply referred to as a promotion. No rules. She was insistent that I could not get the promotional price unless I printed it. When I asked for the manager, she informed me she was it. She said the«Bosses won’t let us do it»(give the special price without a printed coupon). I finally gave up and walked. But as I got outside, I decided to ask for a phone number of her superior. She handed me a receipt from the cash register — it has the phone number. I also noticed a stack of coupons behind the counter and asked if she couldn’t just give me the coupon. She then handed one of the coupons from the stack, but said my special wasn’t on the coupons. I’m confused — you have to print a coupon for a promotion not labeled as a coupon, and they will give you coupons for things that are not on the promotion — but only if you ask for the coupons. In all fairness to the lady behind the register — she was polite, and did well putting up with my dissatisfaction. The issue appears to be three-fold, and the issues are clearly the fault of improper management. 1) The management needs to empower their trusted employees to use sound judgment to override improper rules — giving me the discounted price would have made me happy, and most likely result in repeated business. 2) Educate your employees about the difference between a coupon and a promotion. 3) Realize that this is the year 2013 — no company I’ve dealt with in the last couple of years requires a printed coupon anymore — they all allow the customers to simply flash the image of the coupon or promotion to them on their cell phones. They’ll even match competitor coupons and promotions directly off of the cell phone WITHOUT hesitation.

This review is for the cashier that works up in front. She is so freaking nice and friendly. She should get a raise! My boyfriend and I came in to order 80 wings for game night with my $ 0.50 cent coupon and she was a great sales advertising and so bubbly! Thanks to her great customer service, my boyfriend wants to come back often!

You can find better KFCs. While the staff are friendly and efficient, the small place gets noisy really fast with their music turned up. Teenagers seem to hang out here, and I even had a panhandler follow me into the store to ask me to buy him some chicken. If you want grilled chicken, plan on waiting a few extra minutes. That has been my experience on several occasions. Outdoor seating would be nice if it weren’t for the pigeons and seagulls waiting for you to finish your bird so they can eat their own. There are plenty of locally-owned restaurants nearby, so no need to patronize the Colonel here.

My concern is the daytime gentlemen server during the day. Has Gotee! Very talkative, but what caught me off guard his argumentative and confrontational behavior. Never experienced anything like it, EVER. One feels as though your in court and receiving a drubbing by the lawyer for the prosecution. I turned around and walked out. He is an angry man. Just take the order(forget the attitude – leave it at home). Get rid of your fake smile and be genuine. I do visit the rest. during the evening, when he is not working, and the people are friendly)

Brings a new meaning to «Chicken Dance» –the old well known dance definition goes out the window. this KFC has great chicken and plays the top 40s and club hits while you sit eat. makes me want to eat chicken and dance. –on the down side the place is small, the seats are really limited(i think there may only be space for 6 on bar seating. the windows are covered with advertisements that you can’t even look out to people watch while you eat. –on the up side the service was great, the people were friendly, and that will probably be the reason why i come back again. until next time, cheers!

I notice eat here a lot after going out for drinks in the area. There’s not many options in Oakland for food after going out for drinks at night. The original recipe here is surprisingly NOT greasy. Also the place is one of the cleanest KFCs I’ve ever been in. The four stars is in the context of what time of day it is when I usually go here. When I’m eating food from the farmer’s market across the street on Sat morning, KFC doesn’t appeal me to at all.
