I had a horrible experience ordering online. We ordered a size 10 that was too big. Our fault, right? We paid for return shipping and got a size 9. Which was good and all but we wanted a steel toe shoe, the shoe was in a ‘steel-toe’ box, but the shoe wasn’t a steel toe. So guess what? We had to send it back in. We spoke to an employee(who I will leave anonymous so that he/she doesn’t get fired, but trust me – I want to put his/her name on here because it was horrible) who said they’ll send someone from UPS sometime during the week. (Keep in mind that my dad needs these shoes for his job so while we’re waiting, his feet are taking a beating during this whole process) Turns out that UPS never came by. I had to call this person who, for lack of a better word, FORGOT to arrange a UPS pickup. After 10 days, they took our non steel-toed shoe and we got the new shoe, and you would think that that’s the end of the story, but these shoes were a size 7.5. WWWWWHHHHHHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY. We called again to arranged a pickup and spoke to a different person because we were so fed up with speaking with the person before, who I’m sure is a nice person but totally effed up our order before, and he/she said he/she would send an email for yet some more return instructions. He/she said this would come by Thursday. As I’m typing this on the following Tuesday(a few days later) night, this email has not arrived and my dad’s feet continue to suffer. If I could leave zero stars, I would. Nice shoes, horrible service. I feel we deserve compensation or something. To sum things up, we placed the order in early January and it’s now approaching Mid-March with no shoes. Seriously? I’m willing to bet money that the new shoes that will(hopefully) arrive will be either A) the wrong size or B) not steel-toed. Who will take my bet?

This is your place if you are looking for Firefighting or Rescue Systems gear. They have a HUGE warehouse with all kinds of gear — most everything is in stock that you could possibly need — from overland /brush firefighting set-ups to full-blown urban assault gear. I love shopping at places that have carbide-tipped chain saws and Haligan tools for breaking down doors — it reminds you, that the proper application of force can yield amazing results. They have whacky, special function tools that must be seen to be believed. They can special-order gear — for example I ordered an unusual colored hose for our department — so we wouldn’t get it mixed up with Alameda County gear. They also have cool devices like floating pumps that can draft off of pools or reservoirs — a handy thing to have if you live out in the sticks. I give it four stars because it is expensive — expect to pay full price and then some, unless the item is on clearance.
