My wife and I can’t thank Ann and her team enough for helping to make our wedding day perfect!
We had a pretty long engagement and we were in contact with Ann from the very beginning. She helped to keep us organized with every detail. We thoroughly enjoyed the planning process because of her. There were seems quite a few wishes from one of the brides :
… ‘We want a 50s themed wedding’
… ‘It would be perfect if our wedding party can arrive in a fleet of vintage cars’
… ‘Only would be great if we could serve the best bbq in town’
… ‘We also want to have root beer floats as well for dessert but there’s no freezer available on site’
… ‘Oh, if it’s not too much to ask, we need to incorporate SF Giants as part of our décor — tastefully’
When our wedding day finally came, everyone around me kept commenting on how calm we were. That’s because I had full trust in Ann and Tiffany, to execute all of the details. Not only did they execute, they went above and beyond our expectations!

I found Ann through the
app and Unilocal when I was planning my wedding. I hired Ann and LUX Premier events for my «day of» coordinator, but Ann and her team were above and beyond the «day of planner» with their services. We had two consultation meetings, a walk thru of the venue, and rehearsal dinner in addition to the big day (in addition to any emails & texts I had along the way). Ann helped me organize my thoughts and final details which essentially made our wedding day stress free. She is able to execute her job with ease which keeps everyone calm. Overall, it was a great experience and I would recommend Ann and LUX Premier events for your day of or complete event planning.

We hired Ann for day of coordination for our wedding yesterday. Ann is very sweet, responsive, and will keep you moving on your deadlines and on the wedding day. Her and her assistant Luna were a delight and even helped run errands that morning for my husband to keep him from stressing out. She may be kind of expensive but it was worth it, I don’t know what I would have done without her! I think my only complaints were that there was still some things that had been forgotten such as the rings at the ceremony and although things generally were together there was still some level of confusion. I think it would have been better if we had gotten together a day or two before the wedding and did some final hashing out of the details. I also wouldn’t recommend vendor referral, it costs $ 600 and honestly it was more hassle than it was worth but Ann corrected that for me no problem :) Ann and Luna, thankyou so much for making our day so magical and We wish the best for you and your business! Those photo booth pictures you guys took are hilarious! I’ll post them later today :)

Took way too long to write this much deserved positive review for Lux. They are fantastic. Whether it’s a wedding or any other event your planning, you’ve got to hire Lux.
My wife and I are from NY and wanted to have a destination wedding in Napa. A daunting proposition, especially when you’re expecting 200 guests, none of whom are from the area. Ann and Katherine totally made our dream wedding possible. They reassured us continuously on the weeks and months before the wedding that everything was going according to plan and under control, and it was. They left no detail out and helped us create exactly what we had imagined. They worked great with all our vendors and went to bat for us when needed.
Apart from handling their already heavy load of tasks for us, they went above and beyond for us so many times that I’ve lost count. They made it so this NY couple could rest easy while everything was accomplished in Cali. They are extremely well organized and helped us become organized too — not an easy task at all. The day of the wedding, even our families were wowed at how they took care of every detail, right up to the moment we got back to the hotel. They even handled odds and ends the day after!
Oh and on top of the top notch service that they’ll provide you, their prices are great!
We used them for month of coordination and we can’t recommend them highly enough.

This is a bit belated, but I could NEVER forget Ann and Ann-​Marie. Last year I began looking for Month/​Day-​Of Coordinators. I was a hands-​on bride and did much of my own planning, but wanted some help pulling it all together at the end and to ensure everything went smoothly on the day of my wedding. I reached out to several planners and they all had a price tag of $ 3,200+. With the many different costs associated with a wedding, I just couldn’t justify that to my Dad. When I responded to Ann’s email explaining just that, she was the ONLY planner that responded willing to work with me. She said if I was comfortable working with her Jr. Planner, Ann-​Marie, as my main contact, I could do so at a fraction of the cost. With that also meant that on my Rehearsal and Day-​Of, Ann-​Marie, Ann and Kathryn would all be present!
Now, Ann-​Marie was priceless! She accompanied me to several meetings with vendors, answered my every text, call, and email almost momentarily. She went above and beyond the scope of what was contracted and did all of it with ease. The day of my wedding was gorgeous and I have been complimented on how it was the most beautiful, cohesive, and smooth wedding many of my guests have ever attended. I said from the beginning, we didn’t want a million speeches, etc. We wanted to eat, drink and be married… and that is what we did, all because of LUX. You ladies are amazing and I will recommend you to any and every bride I encounter. I can’t tell you how thankful I am.

we booked Ann-​Marie and Kathryn as day-​of coordinators but they were so much more than that! They were super responsive even months before our wedding and they went high (literally climbed a tree!) and low for us on the day of. Also, I’m type-​A and also in client services BUT i was completely relaxed and didn’t worry about a thing on — which never happens!

We cannot say enough about how fantastic Lux is to work with. They started planning with us well in advance and kept everything on track and then the final week was an absolute BREEZE. They had every angle covered. AND as a result we had zero issues, mistakes, misses, etc. Not even sure how thats possible. Our guests kept remarking about how well planned everything was and they loved our planners! Thank you thank you thank you Ann and Ann-​Marie!!! You made our wedding simply perfect!!!

Working with Ann and her team was a wonderful experience! I live in Seattle and was planning a wedding in Santa Clara/​San Jose. These ladies are The Business. Yes, capitalized. We recently got married, and as we’re working class people living in San Francisco, we don’t have boat loads of money. Our solution, like many people, was to do it ourselves. That means a lot of moving parts, a lot of loving family and friends donating time, a TON of homemade everything. Ann and her staff picked up all the treads we left hanging out of our shirts, consolidated all of our post-​it notes with names and phone numbers, and just made sense of it all. The day ran on a perfect schedule, every guest remarked in some way about the great flow of the day, and we didn’t have to think about a single task. They gave us one of our favorite gifts from our wedding; the ability to be there, in the moment, to enjoy our day with each other and our family and friends.

This is how I can sum up how happy we are to have met and worked with Ann Thai at LUX: A month after the wedding, our guests are telling us how much they loved her.
My husband and I planned our Oakland wedding from New York City and we engaged Ann about 8 weeks prior to our ceremony for Day-​Of services. We hadn’t set out thinking we’d need one, as we had so many helpers and friends offering help, but oh wow, are we ever thankful we met her and hired her team. Complete lifesaver.
The first thing you notice about her is that she’s incredibly engaging even while she is keeping about ten plates spinning in the air at once. She is a can-​do woman from the start, and she makes you feel incredibly excited about the process of planning your wedding.
She helped us out with vendor referrals and communicated with some of our vendors when we were having trouble with them, she made sure we were organized in the weeks prior to the wedding, she gave us excellent ideas for various wedding details, she was great with my mother and put her at ease, she handled every small and significant request with grace and she helped us make sure we had an event that was unique to us.
When things came up — and they did! — she was always there to help and she did it with a smile on her face.

Let’s just say when I met Ann at LUX my wedding went from being pipe-​dream to a perfectly executed event. I don’t even know enough words to express how lucky I am to have found her and the LUX team. I will hit the highlights for the things that are/​were most important to me but just know that with LUX your once-​in-​a-​lifetime day is in the most amazing hands.
* Execution: LUX took every idea I had, refined it and made it perfect. They really took the time to understand my vision but to also make sure that it would work for timing, location, my guests, etc. Day of, everything ran smoothly (if it didn’t I never saw it!) and they were professional from top to bottom.
* Organized: The team is incredibly well organized and provided me with all the tools I would need to plan out our wedding according to our timeline, size, budget, etc. Ann’s team took notes and captured all our thoughts in meetings and site visits, which then helped us make decisions based on accurate info.
* Budget: Our wedding budget was great. It was by no means a limited budget but in the world of weddings, it was made clear to me MANY times that some planners wouldn’t work with me under $ 100k. That didn’t fly. When I found Ann, she took my budget and made it sing. Not only respecting it but helping me make the perfect choices to balance between cost and design. As a result we did not sacrifice any part of our wish list.
* Contacts: I found almost all of our vendors through Ann’s network. Not a single one let us down. They all matched perfectly our vision, budget, and are just all around amazing professionals doing amazing work. I was really lucky to have a one stop contact shop to find the people we needed to make everything come together.
* Responsive: Ann and LUX are the most responsive team with whom I have ever worked. From the first days of communication about our consult to the day after the wedding and beyond. Ann is on point and makes sure that she and the team respond as soon as possible to all inquiries, big and small.
* Fun: These ladies love what they do and it shows. I am grateful that we found a Planner that felt as invested in making our wedding as special as we did. It brought it all together. They are all fun, visionary and wonderful to work with.

We just got married last weekend (Sept 7 ’13), and Ann and her onsite team (Candice/​Ayla) did a fantastic job running the show. We got lots of compliments about how smoothly everything went, and we didn’t really have to worry about anything throughout the whole day. They handled little crises’ effortlessly (e.g. we grossly miscalculated how much Gin the bar would go through, and they had to run to pick up more from BevMo during dinner). The ladies of LUX also did everything with grace and a smile, never being stressed, and handling requests/​demands with aplomb.
We started working with Ann about ~3.5−4 months before the wedding, and though we did a lot of the project management ourselves, and had gotten most of the major vendors booked, Ann came in got us great deals on two remaining vendors (flowers/​photobooth).
Ann was also always super responsive and a reassuring presence through some of the most stressful stretches leading up to the wedding. For example, when I realized it was too late 3 weeks before the wedding to get the license from SF city hall, she reassured me that it was fine, and gave me all the details about how to get it done quickly in Oakland.
LUX was definitely critical to our wedding going off without a hitch, and I would recommend them highly.

We hired Ann and her assistant Ann-​Marie to plan our wedding which was just this past Labor Day weekend. We are so glad that we did and would have liked nothing different. Our wedding day was truly epic! Ann took care of EVERYTHING and my man and I just sat back and enjoyed the party of our lifetimes! Our wedding went off without a hitch; Ann handled all situations that came up without either one of us being aware that anything was amiss! I totally trust Ann and Ann-​Marie to plan the perfect wedding. Plus, they are fun and hooked us up with deals and great vendors!

Gracy and I hired Ann and her team to help us plan our wedding on Aug 3 2013 and could not have been happier with the outcome. We interviewed a couple of different planners, Ann and Anna were by far the most organized and professional. We currently live in CT, but wanted our wedding to be in SF (where my wife and I met), so a planner in the city to help us where we could not be was vital. They went to our tastings for us (took extensive notes), worked with vendors, arranged logistics and did everything to make us feel relaxed while we were on the other side of the country.
Once the big day arrived Ann and her team were more than on the ball. It was almost like they could predict the future! They took care of our guest (who all flew in from out of town… even went out of their way to take care of family members who had medical conditions), took care of all the vendors and went above and beyond to take care of Gracy and I. Everything from providing sandwiches and drink in the limo (between the ceremony, photography sessions and reception) to getting our luggage from one hotel and transferring it to the reception hotel was taken care of. It seemed like even before I asked for something, it was done.
Ann and her team did an absolute flawless job!

I had the pleasure of working with LUX Première Events for my wedding in June. I knew there was no way I could coordinate my own wedding, which had 400+ guests. Fortunately, through our network, my husband and I met Ann. Right off the bat, Ann was incredible kind, professional, and reliable — all the traits essential for the person you trust to mange one of the biggest events of your life. She took the time to understand our needs and tailored her service to our requests. She’s always available for questions and advice. We met several times over the phone and in person to review the event schedule and details. During the day of the event, Ann and her team handled the timing and details of the event very well. Adding, this event back was in Sept, and here it tis November and I’m still talking about it.

The ladies at LUX have it down! My buddies Bennett & Ann had a destination wedding at the Bacara Resort & Spa in Santa Barbara early July. They picked an awesome venue that was so huge that people had to get carted around in golf carts. When I rolled up to the resort on the day of the wedding, it was so great to be greeted by a friendly face at the entrance. Ann Thai was at the front check-​in and though she seemed to be in the middle of dealing with some vendors, made the time to come over to say hello and welcome me to the venue. How great is that?
You know that feeling of being a stranger in a foreign land,… that feeling of being lost? Now you know that exact moment of seeing that ONE friendly face you know that instantly makes you feel at home? That’s how Ann Thai made me feel. You can’t pay for a more personalized planner. Both her and her business partner, Anna were amazing.
Needless to say, the wedding and reception went off without a hitch. These ladies were fading in & out of the background with their fancy headsets and 2 way radios making sure the night went off as planned. Their personalized touch definitely did not go unnoticed. And I found out they plan weekend getaways to Napa & bachelor parties, too! Man, they do it all. I can’t wait to have a reason to employee their services. Without a doubt, I will be recommending their event planning services to all my buddies who are getting married.
