Meeting Melissa and basking in her coaching glow became the jumping off point for me to become a coach myself.
I enrolled in the same coaching program (ipec) that she had graduated from and was thrilled to find out she would be the assistant coach in my program!
As an assistant coach she was so warm, informed and nurturing a presence that I hired her to coach me after I finished the ipec program.

I highly recommend Melissa as a coach. I started working with Melissa coincidentally the day after the traumatic end of my marriage. Melissa was right there with me with my grief and working with her was pivotal in my success in surviving the initial month of my breakup. She was completely present and was able to be with the deep sadness and helped shed light on the slivers of hope during this time. She works very intuitively, authentically and thoughtfully. Melissa empowered me during the darkest days of my life and I am forever grateful. I met Melissa after taking a class of hers on Intuitive Nutrition. She led this class with such grace and presence and with great connection to all the students. I initially wanted to work with Melissa on creating balance in my life as a self-​employed artist and many of these challenges during our sessions were still relevant to me during this time. I have known Melissa for more than five years both as a friend and a life adviser. After I finished my degree and started a new job, I decided that I wanted some guidance in learning how to live a more stress-​free, happy life. Melissa was a great fit for me because she is very trustworthy, an essential for those of us who are introverted. Having seen her make tremendous personal growth, I knew that she knew how to find balance in life personally. As it happened, she was able to guide me in finding my own balance. I had four sessions on the phone with Melissa. In the first session, we talked about what I wanted to accomplish and the patterns in my life that were no longer serving me. At the end of each session, she gave me homework, a series of exercises. At the beginning of each successive session we went over how the exercises worked and proceeded from there. She listened to my descriptions of the feelings the exercises invoked and tailored future «homework» appropriately. The structure of our phone conversations was loose enough for exploration, but it was clear that she was in touch with what I was experiencing and had a flexible but cerebral framework for guiding me. She tailored the sessions to my personal pace; she never made me feel rushed even if we ran over our scheduled time. As a result of my sessions with Melissa, I find it much easier to let go of everyday stress. Melissa is patient yet assertive, and has amazing ability to gently facilitate the personal growth needed to make changes when you are ready on your own.

I went to Melissa to help me work on my nutrition, which I thought was generally OK but I wanted an expert. She taught me in a very straight forward and gentle way, how to trust my intuition about what felt good to eat and what didn’t! So, I could still have what I liked but not overdo it… unless that felt right! This transitioned into many other areas and opened many doors, we worked together on my work situation, my exercise régime (or indecision about what felt right to do), my art and so on. And nothing was ever pushed or felt forced. Melissa had such an enthusiasm for the little steps I conquered along the way! I loved it! Melissa was also amazing at helping steer me to my own answers. This is an on-​going process and she is very open about how much or little to work together, or, even to come back as needed. I recommend her highly!
