This is becoming one of my favorite stores to stop by everytime I find myself in the Piedmont area. They have really cute, unique and artistic items and I can’t help but always get something for me or for someone :) The staff are friendly and they always offer to wrap whatever you buy and I think it’s nice. Came here last week, a few days before XMAS and it was still calm and the staff still friendly. Will probably be checking this place out next time out!

It’s ironic how their window advertisement says«design that makes you smile» but yet their employees don’t smile or say hello for that matter. I walked in about 40 minutes before they closed and was not greeted at all. Some girl with a dumb look on her face was sitting behind the counter staring at me and it was so weird that I sarcastically greeted her with a «hello». It’s funny the patrons have to greet the help here.

I really love this store and all of the cute things in it, but every single time I’ve come in here in the past couple of years, not a single salesperson has ever said hi. The saleswomen will always look me right in the eye and walk away, and on some occasions have chosen to greet other people in the store over speaking to me. Tonight I came in and had the usual thing happen, and thought it was hilarious how one of the saleswomen even squeezed behind me while I was looking at some jewelry to get back behind the counter without thinking to say hi or greet me. Instead of writing my email in the notebook on the counter to sign up for emails from Nathan & Co., I took the time to instead let them know that I would’ve bought something tonight had either of the women working bothered to greet a potential customer, and that customer service matters. So yeah, if either one of you winds up reading this, that was me, and your customer service sucks. I’ve spent enough money there at this point that expecting at least one of two employees in a tiny store to act like their customers exist isn’t too outlandish. Glad to know one of you really likes one of the Chai-scented bath products you sell, though — I was in there long enough to listen to your personal conversation while wondering if either of you was going to stop pretending you didn’t have customers. And yes, I did ignore you when you barely said bye when I walked out.

Love this place… unique gifts for the person who has everything or that gag gift for that lovely coworker. Funny books, witty cards, knock knock products which just perfect if you have that warped and sarcastic sense of humor! This place screams«lighten up» people and definitely not for those humorless, rigid, or ultra conservative types! So definitely come here and BUY that gift for that person and send it anonymously! I cannot say enough good things about this cute shop, there’s this one on Piedmont and there is also one on College Ave both in Oakland(there might be more, but those are the two that I know of). This store consistently(and successfully) saves my booty in bind for a gift for a friend, coworker or otherwise! You have a friend that’s hard to shop for? Definitely come here. They have small kitchen ware, bar ware, kids toys, women’s jewelry and even fragrances, candles and soap. Customer service-wise? These guys rock! During Christmas they even offered free gift wrap! Love this place!

So I come here to buy people gifts but really end up buying myself unbirthday presents. They have rad jewelry(chunky rings with jagged amethyst and other stones, oakland necklaces that would put sex in the city’s «carrie» necklace to shame), heavenly candles, clever and witty cards, journals, books, drinking paraphernalia, wallets, snazzy canvas bags and baby shirts. OH! And they have amazing gift wrapping abilities!

Great little gift shop with super friendly people behind the counter. We picked up an awesome little bay bridge coffee cup here that we love.
