I have very limited experience with this place. My wife saw some stands made with dolls that can hold jewelry
the window. We went in to inquire and found out they cost $ 100! I swear they would be easy to make, and for under $ 10! We didn’t much feel like looking at their other merchandise.

This place is no Pottery Barn, let me tell you! This place has unique pieces that are quite versatile for home or office and for anybody. This was the best place to come for holiday shopping last year, can’t wait to go at it again this year. The staff are cute and friendly as well!

Can’t leave this place without buying 1…2…3…maybe 4 things! So much to offer for my home and garden. I also love to come here to buy gifts for friends and family. There really is something for everyone here! So thankful to have this shop in the neighborhood!

Neighbor is a wonderful store front on Piedmont Ave. Its really a portal into another world, full of blankets you want to hug, warm wood you want to touch and a wonderful smile from whichever employee is behind the counter, usually it’s Dana or Karen the two women who own the store. :)
Neighbor is a wonderful mix of home ware, kitchenware, little edible goodies, furniture pieces and children’s apparel! Representing many independent artists in the Bay Area, Neighbor strives for amazing quality goods that you know as a customer are made near by with lots of love.
This is a great place to stop by and get lost in as well if you happen to be in the area, you will for sure fall in love with something!

Yeah, well… I love this place.
Dana and Karen (and Kira) are amazing, and what they are doing for the street and with local goods is a real blessing.
Once you start shopping there, you may not be able to stop. Great food goodies and personal-​care items.

What a gem of a store, and what lovely people who work there, too. Charming, well curated, pricey but, not out-​of-​the-​park so. Gorgeous Turkish towels, $ 48. I don’t think that’s unreasonable. Lots of copper, wood. Even a baby section, with the most gorgeous cashmere baby blankets – I mean, cashmere quilted stuff. $ 180 a piece, but absolutely worth every penny. We’ll be back here to shop, for sure.

Piedmont was in serious need of this shop.
The space is warm and welcoming, and immediately you are drawn towards beautiful things.
The build out alone will have you saying «wow». I found myself walking around the store for a good 10 minutes before I even took sight of the merchandise.
The gentleman working was explaining to me that it a partnership between Dana who owns Good Stock and Karen who co owns Mercy Vintage. Ones right next door and the other is about 2 businesses down.
These ladies are taking over the block in the best way possible and I am excited to see Neighbor develop.

A charming and inspiring store. I was drawn in from the street to check it out, and was so pleasantly surprised by the lovely collection of eclectic textiles, handmade goods, edgy furniture, and one-​off lights. The feel of the store is bi-​coastal current design with an appreciation for high quality earthy material and fine craft.
The friendly Max was gracious enough to take me around the store, explaining the back story behind the lovely items they carry, making it clear that the Neighbor crew are curating something unique and intentional with the items, and really care about what they’re offering to the Oakland community.
I got two Fauta towels. SO GOOD.

interesting window display of furs and skulls. mostly home décor, not a big store and not crowded. i didn’t find anything in particular, pretty cute stuff. similar style to the store next door, good stock.
