Patrick Cook-Deegan

Patrick is an amazing person to have in your son’s life. We met Patrick when my son did a teen wilderness retreat with I’m last summer. We both like him right away.
He’s the kind of guy you hope your son will turn out to be and I think has led the kind of life many young men want to create for themselves. Patrick has become the trusted advisor/​elder that my son didn’t have: someone outside the family that he respects and to whom he will listen.
He is very much a guy’s guy but not in a Tony Robbins, blown up, pumped up kind of way. He has the simple, soft spoken but powerful presence of someone who has put a lot of time into walking his talk. My son also says he has a great sense of humor.
At a time when my son’s peer group has become such a powerful influence, and when I am no longer his most trusted confidant, I am so grateful to know that there is such a solid person in his life.
