I am so glad to have met Phil and experience his work. I’ve consistently worked with him on herbs that catered to my specific needs, as well as acupuncture. Phil is aware and actively listens to your concerns. Phil has helped me move through some of my most difficult challenges, and now through my pregnancy — another milestone! As an acupuncture junkie, I’ve grown a strong liking for Phil’s work, and he is absolutely someone who has my trust and best interest at hand.

I’ve been a patient at Alameda Acupuncture for 2+ years with John Nieters. During that time I’ve seen Phil about 4 or 5 times. Most recently I needed some help with back pain, and was happy to be able to drop in to see him on Saturdays. Very convenient! Phil comes across as highly competent, knowledgable, and compassionate. He’s a good listener. I always learn something new about Traditional Chinese Medicine/​Acupuncture when I’m there. I appreciate his manner and his diagnostic skills. I am familiar with chiropractic and so I was thrilled to notice my back pain melt away with a technique that I might not have considered before. Acupuncture is amazing! I highly recommend seeing Phil for any health issue.

Phil is a skilled and compassionate practitioner who has treated me for multiple health conditions, including headaches, allergies, edema, back pain, insomnia, and skin, digestive, stress-​related, and menstrual issues.
In addition to his effective acupuncture and herbal treatments and nutritional suggestions, I have found one of Phil’s strengths to be his ability to be present with me as a patient and to listen to my concerns without judgment. For me, that has been nearly as healing as the treatment itself.
