I normally order the a regular chicken burrito and so far they have all been very pleasant. The customer service is not that great but the food makes up for it.

I feel for the price they should be able to come through more. The burritos are just alright. They only take cash which is disappointing as well

Pretty nice jewel in the Temescal area. I go here with my co-workers. We go here at least twice a week. They have a hot sauce that is to die for.(arning: Its only for the strong) Nice staff, clean & quality.

VERYEXPENSIVE for the quality of food they serve. Ordered a chile relleno, just saw a tiny piece of it, the rest was covered with rice and beans. They don’t take debit or credit cards, only cash.

Small comfortable family-owned joint making solid, inexpensive tacos. Now that all the hipsters have gone next door to Cholita Linda, there is usually no wait here.

This is a quaint little taqueria not far from Mac Arthur Bart in the Temescal. I stopped in after the taco truck was far to busy to wait at due to the extent of my hunger. I walked in knowing I was gonna order tacos. They offer the«Mexican Taco» at $ 2.25 a piece and another variation that was a bit pricey. I went with the Mexican version. I also ordered melon Fresca which the woman at the register suggested she must have saw the thirst in my eyes. She happily brought my food out to the table, along with my beverage and complimentary chips and salsa. Everything tasted good, the meat was chopped a bit too small for my liking kinda along the lines of Asada bits. The taco sauce was quite spicy just the way I like it and the chips tasted fresh. For a whopping 8 $ I enjoyed the meal. This place isn’t necessarily the best but it’s far from the worst.

This place deserves a much higher rating! Prices are reasonable(it IS the bay area, come on!), food is great, and the owner is the sweetest lady around. Best beans anywhere!

The staff is nice and the food is great. They sell a few different types of beers for $ 3.85(they had Modelo Especial and Lagunitas IPA) which is also awesome. The interior is small and it reminds me of home. I ordered a carnitas super burrito and it was a nice mission-style burrito for $ 7.99. They sell a plate of fish tacos for $ 2.95, but I was craving the burrito.

My husband and I have been coming in here for years. When I am not in town, he will be here for dinner. This family-owned restaurant serves some of the best burritos(minus the sour cream of course) with delicious salsa and chips. I have never had a problem with their service. There are other places nearby that serve Mexican, but those places are the ones with overpriced dishes and slow service, not Pico Paco! I love this place and recommend it to all of my friends.

Fast food arepas, with really slow food prep. Good for a lunch, but not much else going on.

The food was decent, no complaints there, however the prices are very high for the same quality food that you can get in other Mexican restaurants.

Called in an order ahead. 10 minutes later confirmed order by phone before leaving in the car. «Yeah, I’m making them.» On arrival, the order had not been started. Usually that scores a one star review, but the burritos were pretty good…

Nice person but sooooo slow. I ordered one taco want waited 20 minutes and there were only 3 people ahead of me. Just one very slow cook, hire another one ! not everyone can wait 20 minutes at lunch for a taco unless you’re a trust fund hipster with time to kill :/

I had a fish taco here. Pretty sure she used canned salsa and it really wasn’t all that great. Dont have any desire to try anything else.

— average taco shop food — cash only — moderate price — close before 9 pm(this is drinking food!)

totally authentic, consistent and the staff is very nice and helpful. The food is right out of Guadalajara. The place is nothing to look at but they put their effort into the food.

I just discovered this joint a few days ago. If you’re into enchiladas, refried beans and rice, I highly recommend eating here. Their rice is exceptional. The atmosphere is not. I care about the food more than the décor. p. s. I wish they had flan.

Pico Paco has a pricey menu, but this is temescal so that figures. went with the lunch menu eats: chicken burrito(4.99) –medium sized burrito with fresh chicken breast bits and the usual rice & beans –salsa & chips came with it –all ingredients fresh. 3.5 stars frijoles refritos: –courtesy, fast service –cashier brought burrito to my table instead of calling out names, numbers– so classy!- –place very small, maybe 6 tables.

I was wandering down Telegraph from the Smog Check station( ) looking for something new and saw the sidewalk sign for Pico Paco’s specials and decided to get the Pork Chile Verde plate. The cashier didn’t know how much it was so I had to go back outside to check! Anyway, they give you a bowl of housemade chips and salsa while you wait for your food( ) Pretty good chips. The salsa is OK, but on the thin side. The chile verde plate comes with refried beans, Mexican rice, small salad, and your choice of flour or corn tortillas( ) Tasty, mildly spiced chile verde(which was more brown than verde). It was ground pork where I was expecting some bigger chunks of meat. The horchata was very sweet and had a flavor I couldn’t put my finger on which I didn’t enjoy. I wouldn’t order this again. Chile Verde: 3.5 stars Horchata: 2 stars

Mexican day part two. Pico Paco is two triple-jumps from my front door. I can go here in my bunny slippers. I don’t have bunny slippers, btw. I’m just being illustrative. I take a phat PP burrito home once a week. Not to dissuade me, on occasion the esposa asks why I not cook at home. Why I not have a woman and we cook at home. She’s confident that such an interrogation won’t make it so, that I’ll be her customer for life. Esposo smiles from the kitchen. Sometimes hija is there. They are all incredibly nice. Seriously, they could wrap nails in paper and cover it with rancid cottage cheese and I’d happily wolf it down. That’s how much love. But, perhaps fortunately for my continued customership, they feed me good stuff instead. All I’ve ever eaten are the burritos. Maybe three different ones. They’ve all been delicious. They’re biggish, too, not La Borinquena big as your head(I’m hungry now) big, but a healthy size. If they love you like they love me they’ll bring you chips and salsa to munch on while you wait for the to-go order. Temescal wildlife visits, fun to watch. As with Baja is to Piedmont PP is to Telegraph. Come on over. Eat. Crawl. Love.
